- Bayer Leverkusen sporting director Simon Rolfes believes Xabi Alonso will remain at the club next season.
The claim comes amid intense speculation that Alonso could replace Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool. The German will stand down as Reds manager this summer after nine memorable years at Anfield.
With the table-topping Reds still fighting on four fronts this campaign, Klopp dropped that bombshell last month. Alonso, meanwhile, continues to impress at Leverkusen.
