I first watched Avatar TLA when I was 13 and my first crush was Azula. I mean, being able to outsmart an adult leader of a secret service and overthrow a kingdom for her father at only fourteen? Reminds me of the time I tried to write a letter to the desk fairy. My teacher told us that if cleaned our desks, then a diary would to give us a treat on a particular day (kinda a bit like the tooth fairy). I wrote a letter to the desk fairy, I can’t remember what I wrote but it was mostly nice things. Then, I thew my letter under a bush because I thought fairies collected letters in there and they also lived there. Turns out, there was no such thing as the tooth fairy and nobody received anything. I guess my teacher forgot about it later in the year.

The funny thing is, that when I was younger, I didn’t take the time to really appreciate the show or its characters. Referring to TTTE by the way. I never even saw Tugs until a couple of months ago. It’s only now that I’m older, and I am taking time to appreciate the fandom and analyze the characters, that I have developed a crush on a character from this fandom. but Honestly, it makes me feel a little bit sad because I know I missed out on a lot when I was younger because I didn’t actually take the time to analyze these characters.
This fandom and community has done a lot for me personally and I’m so happy to see it get the love it deserves.
I've never even seen TUGS, and I haven't seen Thomas the Tank Engine since I was legit like 4 years old but honestly..... I kinda get it??? Like his voice is really nice, he seems really friendly and sweet and personable, and his face is kinda attractive. It's just the being a boat thing that throws me off, because a person couldn't realistically have a relationship with a boat (as if anything about this is realistic, lol but you know what I'm saying I hope). If I were to see a human version of him as fanart or something I would totally be all over it lmao. That being said I totally get why someone would be into him, even if he is a boat. Hercules is hot and I'm not afraid to say it!

As for McQueen… he gets better after the first half of the movie when he stops being a whiny and entitled ass. He was the first animated character I ever hated. He and Sally do have a good and functional relationship that fanfics seem to create unnecessary toxicity.
McQueen got jealous when Sally thought Francesco was hot in Cars 2, but he got over that once he realized people were in danger and that his BEST FRIEND never made it back home from Japan. McQueen also introduces Francesco to Sally making her happy and being secure in their relationship. Cars 3, Sally is flipping wonderful with going to McQueen’s races more often, her showing fear and concern when he crashed, and giving him a sort of teasing, tough love pep talk.

I don't tend to get crushes on cartoon characters (or characters in general from any media) but what really attracts me to a character is if I relate to them in some way or I want to steal their style? The first cartoon character I was really attracted to as a kid was Phineas from Phineas and Ferb, which I mistook for a crush for a while, but then realized I related to him (as a child of divorced parents) more than I was crushing on him.

I think Cala Maria was first and foremost meant to sound like "calamari", but it _also_ happens to sound like _Maria Callas,_ famous Greek-American opera singer. That second one may or may not be pure coincidence, I'm not sure, but I'm told she (Cala) has a Greek accent and a vaguely Carmen-esque operatic number in _The Cuphead Show,_ so either way I suppose I'm not the only one who noticed.

One thing that I will say about the Cars movie is that at it's core, it is a pretty basic but still cute story about being a young adult and figuring life out, learning to respect both your blossoming career for all that it entails as well as recognize the colleagues that you meet within that career for their own many talents, and finding the right place in the world for yourself with the right people in it to bring all of your best qualities to the forefront and make you the best version of yourself.
Some of the writers in the Cars fandom are VERY talented and do great job with expanding on all of those themes, as well as expanding on the characters, their relationships with each other, and the natural progression of those relationships.
They even humanize it to make it less weird.
(Look guys, I too am just a young adult trying to figure life out and the underlying story that gives Cars it's merit is super emotionally relatable for me right now.....)

12:12 Moby is the best one as he is so chaotic! Tim is a bit of a Dave but with a bit of Raechel as far as looks goes. I think he may have a bit a mix of a Chris and Jon personality. In other words I like their some what fluffy hair but think it's not fluffy enough and think they are a bit boring but are a hard worker, Somewhat kind and knows a lot of things.

A note on Thomas the Tank Engine (and adjacent) shows having non-moving faces with voice over: They were developed with simple, unmoving, clear expressions to teach children how to read people's emotions through their facial expressions, thus why lots of the dialogue is characters stating their emotional state as unambiguously as possible, awkward and stiff though it may sound.
But why trains you may ask? Because train fanatics are disproportionately represented by people on the spectrum so they created these anthropomorphized trains in an (debatably successful??) attempt to SPECIFICALLY target children with asperger's syndrome to pay attention someone's expression to figure out what someone is feeling.

Have you thought of doing another hobby video? I remember it was really fun to watch you try out all those different things, getting a beginner perspective into communities that are often focused around those who dedicate their lives to it makes them a bit more approachable
If you do another video on that ever, I recommend "upcycling" (using things you'd throw away otherwise to make art or furniture). It just seems fun and probably cheaper than most other hobbies like that
