Kubota Z421 Zero Turn Mower - Zábava
Dean gives your video gets a thumbs up
Thanks!
I have a Z421-60” and Love it!
I have a Z122R, which is my first ever zero turn mower. I love it ! I come across this video when searching on any specifics for changing the oil in the mower. You made it super simple. Thanks brother 🍻
Thanks for this. Going to change the oil for the first time on the new church mower. This gives me hope that it’s an easy job.
Awesome!
Prob the only thing I would add to this is if you choose to NOT fill up the new filter with oil like he did, your dipstick will read very much over-filled until you run the motor a few seconds. I like to turn it over several times without letting it start up (throttle low, no choke) just to pump the oil around a little bit, then I’ll fire it up, shut it off & re-check the oil. Another great vid 👍🏻
Great info, thanks for watching!
Thanks so much buddy. I appreciate this.
Thanks for sharing this. Very useful!
Thanks for the video! Great job.
Looks like you know what you're doing. 👍
Thank you for posting this video very helpful and useful!
Many Thanks for posting. Very helpful!
I worked as a tech for a few years, and over-tightening filters is a huge pet peeve of mine. 1/2 - 3/4 turn past contact is basically all you ever need. You should be able to uninstall oil filters with your hand only. It won't fall off, I promise. Also, putting oil on the gasket is just an old habit that doesn't really serve a convincing purpose. It's not going to hurt anything, but I find it's just another opportunity to make a mess more than anything else.
great video man
How you started carburetor seat
?
Thanks for the video, just about to change the oil on mine for the first time. Love the mower. I've heard the 100 series with the Briggs and Stratton engines are not as reliable as the 400 series with the Kawasaki engines.
Yeah I think that series of Briggs isn’t their commercial line more residential.
Getting ready to buy one like yours I have the 42 inch Kubota z122 an have run it hard an it still running good
I saw the kubota video for this. They said the mower comes with a hose to put on that drain. Looks like it does ok without it as long as you can get that drain pan where it needs to go and not make a mess. This is such a great design. I’ve been searching for a few months on which ZT to get and it looks like kubota is where it’s at. The only thing I don’t like is the gas fill is right next to all the electronics like the ignition switch, pto and hour meter. At least it was on the ones I was looking at.
I don’t remember if it came with a hose or not but I haven’t needed it for my use, the fuel fill is on the same side as all the controls but I haven’t had an issue with spillage
Hello again Paul enjoy your videos always
Thanks Gary!
Were u get your oil an filter from
Sorry it took me a while I was trying to find the link, but I got them from Amazon.
how has that mower been holding up for you ? i just got a new z412 48" , the other day.
It’s been good, had an issue where it wouldn’t start when I’d turn the key nothing, like a dead battery, but it was either the key switch or the safety switch for the blades, I pulled the connections loose and put dielectric grease on them and no problems since
@@WilliamsonRidge cool , good to know ! thanks for the reply.
I'm going to a Kubota Dealer tomorrow to check out this mower. Have you had any regrets? Would you buy it again? They're a bit more costly new but hoping it's a case of "You Get What You Pay For."
I have no regrets, it’s been holding up very well the only problems I’ve had is a belt broke at about 70hrs and I’ve had the deck belt come off twice but do to getting a stick flip up from the rear tires between it and the pulley and it just popped it off. Put it back on and was back to mowing, I did have the motor mount bolts vibrate loose maybe they didn’t have thread lock on them but again put some thread locker on them tightened them down and good to go
@@WilliamsonRidge Thanks, That's reassuring. Did you change your own Hydro Trans? If so, Did you do a video on it?
Daniel Spencer I haven’t changed the hydro yet, I was going to and the dealer said if it doesn’t look dirty don’t worry about it, it’s just now starting to get a bit darker so I will probably be changing it soon, definitely will make a video when I do.
@@WilliamsonRidge Well, I went to the Kubota Dealership today and bought the Kubota Z421KW-54" Zero Turn. Pick it up tomorrow.
That’s awesome! I’m sure you will be happy with your purchase!
How many hours on it ? I got 700 on mine my biggest problem is the bearings
I only have 65 hours, but I was wondering how the sealed bearings would hold up verses others that have grease fittings everywhere.
I have 1000 hours on my Kubota deck, the idler and tensioner bearing/pulleys (3) are shot and I'm replacing them this week. The sealed-for-life spindles still are OK, knock on wood.
How much is the
The mower is around 6500 the oil change about 50 bucks
