Don't Let This Happen To You! Tractor Fell Off The Jacks #377

Don't let this happen to you! My tractor fell off the jacks and I had to call a wrecker service to help me out! While no one was hurt, and the tractor did not sustain any damage the situation could have been a lot worse with just a few changes in circumstances. Son put in new line last evening. I used it all up already, our yard is large. "Easy to restring"??????? Not for me. Not for son and he is super techy and mechanical. I have watched this several times. Men's hands are much larger than a lady's hands, those tabs are NOT easy. I also have rhumatoid arthritis in my hands which makes this difficult for me. ***** I had a neighbor do it for me. It took him over an hour. The string kept fouling up inside of the trimmer. He could only get half the amount of line in it. Guess I will just use my mower to trim. I am not a happy camper with how I have to put string in this trimmer. I tried to send Harbor Frieght some feedback, but they want information I do not have. Personally, I like Harbor Frieght just not the trimmer.

    • @WilliamsonRidge
      @WilliamsonRidge Před 2 dny

      You don’t have to press the tabs just to restring it, only if you need to take it completely apart to clean it

    • @WilliamsonRidge
      @WilliamsonRidge Před 2 dny

      The septic lines have cleanouts, but the tank itself still has to be pumped, that’s the only way I’ve ever seen it for a traditional septic system, a city sewer or aeration setup may be different and have cleanouts, but I’m also not a professional septic person and the professional I hired, I had to rely on them knowing what they were doing

    I would never toss a stone. Done plenty of sketch in my 63 yrs. I know for us here, on my place - we have crap clay soils - and you put anything on it, without some support, makes for an unstable place to jack from. After my brother had a similar issue - I had cut a bunch of 24x24 inch plates out of 1/4 and 3/8 steel plate. I have a bunch of them. That gives me a solid platform to work off. And yes - I have turned the tires on the Deere 850 - to get a better stance - less side shock - in winter when I am snowblowing. The L39 is twice as heavy. Much more care. The 49 D4 - 29,000 #'s. Effin careful with it! My point - listen and watch and work as safe as you can! Get help!!! Another set of eyes is invaluable. ME and my brother start, when we agree. And sometimes - we dont for a bit. We just dont what either of us -- OR YOU GENTS - to get hurt. Cheers

    My Z 411, with the one spindle that is giving me a noise issue, I’m having problems removing the top nut. In your video, it seems very easy. Did you secure a breaker bar on the bottom nut to prevent it from spinning? Even when I put a breaker bar on the bottom nut, with significant force and pressure, I cannot get this top nut off. Any suggestions from any of you on this thread?

    I don't know if you've had any experience with the 'standard' EGO charger; but MY experience is that when the standard and the rapid chargers are finished; the batteries are relatively cool; but I've charged two batteries on the charger that comes with the 2000; and the batteries are almost hot! I don't understand.

    • @WilliamsonRidge
      @WilliamsonRidge Před 2 dny

      Yeah the standard charger usually the batteries are just barely warm and the rapid charger is a bit warmer but not hot, the charger that came with my 2000 is a standard charger and it is cool/warm after charging it sounds like you may have a bad charger

    • @John-cj3ve
      @John-cj3ve Před 2 dny

      I'd check to see if you in fact have a 'standard' charger. They don't have a marketing name for the one that came with my CS2005. It's just called the CH3200. 320w of power; compared to the standard charger's 210w. They LOOK kinda the same.

  • @John-cj3ve
    @John-cj3ve Před 9 dny

    I remember asking you someplace if the 5ah battery would run the 2000 at full speed. Your answer wasn't quite clear to me; but now I can confirm that the 5ah battery will NOT run the saw at top speed. It WILL however; run it at medium speed. There's nothing clear cut about the batteries. My CSX5000 comes with an 8ah battery; BUT; it WILL run at top speed with a 7.5ah. I haven't tried the 6ah in the 5000 yet; but I doubt it will run it at full speed.

    The loader on the ground would definitely help. Also cribbing made with 4 by 6 blocks would help constructed like the house or barn jacking companies use. Rough sawn 4 by 6 is cheap insurance versus those tippy little jack stands. And the floor jacks are on wheels so they can allow side movements.

    Another numbnuts who doesn't read the instructions. You forgot to connect the strap the goes under the bumper to keep the tailgate from trying to close when you crank on the tarp! You have a plastic bed liner so material will slide out easily, as you found out. I'd suggest adding a small piece of wood on then end of the tarp, which helps pull the last of the material out of the box.

    I've tried a few electric saws and they just don't have the power or stamina of a gas saw. The best one I've tried so far was a Husquevarna. It had more power and the battery lasred longer than the rest but after felling four firs about 7"-9" each and roundimg them for firewood the battery was done. After the first few cuts, I had to take down the rakers some and give the chain a good sharpening. The factory sharpening job was adequate but not quite sharp enough to get full efficiency from the saw. After knocking down the rakers and sharpening, it performed much better but not where it needs to be for comercial logging. Of course you can't realistically compare an electric to a gas saw. It held it's own for an elecric but far below what you need to make money. Not very practical for making any money.

    I've had my CSX5000 for a while now. I put a 24" bar on it; and I don't understand why EGO didn't market it this way in the first place . Anyway; I am an undisciplined low level collector of battery operated chainsaws; subsequently; my CS2005 should be here by the first part of next week 😢😂 I really enjoy your videos.

      Thanks for watching, I think the 24” bar may build to much heat to quickly I have already been having heat issues trying to use the saws in 95degree weather, something I didn’t experience at all when it was in the 40’s and 50’s, I’ll have videos on that coming soon

      I agree there is an overheating issue; but in my limited experience; it didn't seem to overheat any faster with the 24" than it did with the 20"; so I left the 24" on.

      Sweet I may have to try the 24”bar, the saw definitely has the power to pull it
