A very good video. You took the time to show ALL the steps and I greatly appreciate that attention to detail.

Great video with all of the details needed to do the oil change. On yours the drain valve is horizontal and the oil seems to drop cleanly through the space and then into the bucket. On mine unfortunately the drain valve is up at about a 60 degree angle. What happens is that the oil drains out and then onto the metal plate and makes a mess. Obviously it was not installed correctly. I know the smartest move is to put it on a trailer and take it back to the dealer but that is a lot of trouble since the dealer is not close. Do you know if it is possible to just put a wrench on it and rotate it to the correct position?

I did all just as you did. After oil change is it normal to lose near a quart of oil? No leaks was found! Week later my same exact mower with 200 hrs locked up totally fried the engine according to Kubota maintenance garage. I am absolutely devastated!! I baby this machine and this happened. I did not think after 7 days I would have to check oil levels. (1 mowing after oil change) ZERO leaks where it’s kept in my pole barn. I use “their oil” brand 10/40. She is now in the shop getting a new engine 2500 costly repair. And of course the warranty expired Jan 2024 😡 Now I will have PTSD on this oil thing. Can you share some thoughts on this.

How do you reset the maintenance light after you do that

Shouldn't you start the engine and then check the oil.

That's why you go to the dealer and buy your parts. that way you know you're getting the right parts

I *did* get the right parts. Just a little bit of work. I just don't like grossly overpaying for maintenance parts. Kinda like the tractor tire that tore up last week. The one that Kubota said would take two weeks to get in, that they couldn't mount, and would cost $395. Plus I'd have to spend an hour driving to pick it up. Instead, I bought THE EXACT SAME TIRE on Amazon, delivered to my house in four days, and only cost $155.
