    I own a z421 and I learned everyone of these lessons through trial and error, wish I saw this video from the jump. Great info.

      Mine will stall out if the rpm’s aren’t up over 1/2 throttle

    Informative video, however…
    That music is so loud and annoying and I have no idea what the purpose of it is. It drove me crazy and I can’t hear you talk why in the world you record that crazy music it’s so unnecessary. Please redo the video without this nonsense sound.
    Your voice is only in the left ear. I’m not sure why, but it makes it very disconcerting to listen to needs to be in both ears. Did you pan left? What happened?
    If you have very little dirt or dust, and just a nice lawn, you won’t get very much dust in that filter and definitely no need to check it every single time you mow that’s crazy.
    Your hair is dope flow.

    Good video man! I just bought a 422-54 & I was wondering at what hour should I change the oil. I’m at 24.8 hrs.

      Lift the seat. Service intervals are all written there for you including the most crucial first oil change AT 8 HOURS. Hopefully you are not one of those complaining later that kawasaki engines are no good after you went over 3 times longer than the recommended break-in period before doing your first oil change.

      @@bandario Engines in the modern world post 1960s are built with precision and don’t need the old grandfather break in period. I know this because I design these engines for Kawasaki. I’ve been doing it for a long time. As far as oil changes go make sure you run synthetic not regular oil will make a massive difference. Trust me. With that the oil change interval is longer and as long as you don’t get a lot of dirt in it it’s gonna be just fine for the recommended period of time and will last 2 to 3 times longer if you want. It’s just good stuff. Stop with the conventional oil junk.

    So what about grease zerks?

    • @shawnhorton2000
      @shawnhorton2000 Před 6 měsíci +2

      Bingo that’s the most important thing in the whole mowers to grease it. Where the heck are those grease fittings?

    I totally disagree with having the engine full throttle for everything, doesn’t make any sense to me, I have the very same mower and it’s never raced like you suggest.
