Why was the suspect’s name erased? This is ridiculous. Need to start treating these demon seeds as adults.

Why? Why should a 14 year old be held fully responsible for their actions when they don't have the biological advantage of a fully developed brain and the life experience to fully understand right from wrong and the consequences of their actions the way an adult does, even people hundreds of years ago could understand that. We would never hold a person fully responsible for their crimes if they suffered from a mental illness or were mentally challenged and in the eyes of the law this is also how we treat children who are still developing to become independent adults. This is the same reason we don't allow people to have a driver's license, purchase alcohol, or vote until they reach a certain age.

Under 18, well charge him as an adult. Why not reveal his true age? Is he 17? Charge him as an adult. We know it was revealed in other news outlets it's the son of her aunts boyfriend. There is reason to be alarmed for that neighborhood because any child could have been a target...he chose Lilly because he knew her. He should be charged as an adult.

I called it (sort of). I said it would be some guy the aunt was dating and bringing in the house around the little girl. Turned out to be the guys son. So many of these women think of their relationships before they think of children in their lives.

I wish there was clarification on this. Allegedly the man she is dating is named John Repetto and his son is Landon Repetto. But the 14 year old murder suspect is Carson Peters Berger. Not sure if that's her son or a step-son. But I don't think it's the boyfriend's son.
I think we as a society, need to go back and redefine the words, “child” and “juvenile” when it comes to the law. Anybody 14yrs old or older should know right from wrong, especially when it comes to taking an innocent life.

I am from Chippewa Falls and I Am a survivor of incest and child sexual abuse from many in that town and Bloomer Wisconsin. I have been trying for over 30years to address the issues of child molestation. The Chippewa Falls police have brushed me aside for over 10 years! This is just the tip of the iceberg and I am not surprised at all that this happened.

Her 14 year old cousin killed her (son of mom's sister). Lilly was visiting her aunt, she and the cousin left the house and then Lilly went missing. He has admitted to killing Lilly and then sexually assaulting her. Talk about a double tragedy----your daughter is murdered and then you find out her own cousin killed her.

*IF* it was the teen I wonder what prompted him to do it. Did he plan it? Did he go with her on the sly or was he supposed to be escorting her home? Does he have a history of violence? If yes who all knew about it? Did they crash hoverboard and bike then he went into a rage and blamed her? There are lots more questions than answers at this point but that is to be expected. I repeat *IF* it was the teen.

Parents need to stop letting their kids go places by themselves. Imagine losing your child because you were to lazy to take your child 5 blocks to their destination. It may seem cruel to say but it is really that simple. I bet her parents will never forgive themselves.
That is a cruel and ridiculous thing to say. We are not talking about a 5 year old. Children learn independence and life skills by being allowed some freedom to do things on their own in an age appropriate manner

My own 13 yo son almost gave us heart attack a few times because of he did not get back to the house after it get dark for like an HR hour., After riding his bike. I am absolutely just heart broken for this precious little angel and her family 🙏 who died such a horrible and horrific death .at the hands of a juvenile monster. Who committed such a horrific crime that in my opinion deserves the death penalty . And what makes this case even more horrific is this poor sweet little angel Lily Peter's life so young was taken by the hands of a family member .let me rephrase that a so called family member . someone who she trusted and had no clue or thought in her mind that would hurt her and ultimately take her life . This boy committed a crime knowingly and willingly on his own a crime that even a five year old would know was wrong . and would not be excepted and people can blame whoever they want for this monsters actions .but it was he who committed a horrible crime that he knowingly knew was wrong . And he deserves the highest punishment available by law . because with no doubt when it's his time to go he will face our heavenly father where his ultimate punishment will be given. And what also makes me sick and very angry about this case is some people leaving comments blaming Lily's parents for what happened .we all know that when our children get a certain age you can't be with them every second of every day and in this case that monster was a so called family member someone who you wouldn't never suspect to commit such a horrible crime .he could have been in the little girls home . and no one would have suspected or thought anything like that would have happened .
