  • Touring Small Town Wisconsin: Chippewa Falls
Welcome to Discover Wisconsin’s mini-series Touring Small Town Wisconsin.
Brewery tours, boat rides, parks, ice cream and lots of excellent food - all this and more in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin.
In this episode, join Eric Paulsen as he checks out Chippewa Falls and all of the great things to do right in town. With lots of nature, history, culture and beer, Chippewa Falls is a great small town in Wisconsin to visit! Especially with a Cobblestone Mainstreet Hotel and Chophouse location right between downtown and the Chippewa River. With big city quality, and small town values, it’s no wonder the best getaways begin at Cobblestone - the official hotel chain partner of Discover Wisconsin. www.staycobblestone.com
Join Eric as he chats with Cobblestone’s President Brian Wogernese and Leinenkugel’s President Dick Leinenkugel to learn about the area. Love beer? Of course we couldn’t visit the Leinie Lodge without a tour of the Brewery!
Spend an evening at the exceptional Wissota Chophouse, where you’ll find culinary treats you just can’t get elsewhere including Alligator, Japanese A5 Wagyu beef, and Octopus just to name a few. Eric tries the Octopus for the first time and likes it!
The next day, come and join us to check out the Irvine park - an exceptional park with a full Zoo and 300+ acres of playgrounds, historic structures, hiking trails, lakes, creeks and lots more. And if you’re walking around downtown, definitely go get some Olson’s Ice Cream, a long time local favorite with so many great flavors and fresh sweet treats.
Of course, no trip would be complete without enjoying a boat tour of Lake Wissota - and no boat ride would be complete without docking at the Wissota High Shores Supper Club for dinner - where Eric and Brian share another fabulous meal. With so much to do, see, eat and drink, definitely think about planning a stop in Chippewa Falls on your next road trip!

Did he say 15 or 50,000 people? Closed Captioning showed 50. There's 15-17,000 in Chippewa Falls and 50,000 in the rest of the county. Also it seems amiss that he didn't even mention that Lake Wissota wasn't even there when 'Jack Dawson' mentioned it in Titanic. The Chippewa River wasn't completely dammed until 5 years after the Titanic went down.
