Bystanders pull boy from under car after being hit in Maplewood

Bystanders pull a boy from under a car after he was hit while riding a bike with his dad on July 4. The boy was taken to the hospital where his condition is unknown.

As bad as I feel for the injured boy, that poor driver will likely be equally traumatized by this…. I hope they both recover.

Good of these bystanders to move the victim. I worked on the 21A burn unit at HCMC for 17 years and saw people with literal oil pan and catalytic converter burn marks on their torso cuz those bystanders in 10th grade health class were taught to not move the victim.

It was kind of these people to pick up the vehicle and get the boy out, but please DO NOT MOVE AN INJURED PERSON. (Let alone pick him up and run around in circles like a chicken missing it's head!)
Hopefully, this boy will not be paralyzed for life.
