- Good girls follow all the rules, they keep away from boys and focus on their studies. Akaco Ekirapa was a good girl, she did all the right things, surely then it is expected that life would play fair cards, which it did for a while. Falling in love and starting a family was built on a good strong foundation. Then the foundations of her entire being were shaken one morning so badly that she was left wondering whether Life is Fair. Live for today is her parting shot.
That is not how i expected to hear ... ooh my God so sorry for your loss. for sure we need to love for today and be happy for today coz you dont know tomorrow. so so so sorry for your loss AKACO.

This is among the saddest Engage Talks that I have ever watched. Am I the only one who waited in anticipation for someone to walk on stage and support her when she broke down? Or is it part of the production that no one should intervene??????

Why didn't anyone go send her support? What if she fainted or collapsed? We can't be that indifferent I would have jumped to the stage and given her a shoulder to lean on. Where is our humanity? Let's not play games with people's lives in the name of having a show move on uninterrupted.

I disagree. Just because she broke down doesn't mean she wasn't okay. She very poignantly, very lovingly told her story - her tears are a testament to how much she loved her man. Tears aren't the worst thing...it was very fitting that no one interrupted her.
I agree with you and in most times the hug or consolation usually leads to total break down. It was best to leave her to regain her composure and comfort her after.
I agree to disagree. I do not think it is her first time she is telling her story, and the organizers had a know-how of what her story was, I want to believe she was okay and strong.
Am seeing this a year later and I couldn't watch where she was crying,it was so painful.

This was a sad story being shared and the engage team never stood to show support. Hope there is more to it that we can visibly see because that was sad to see her break down yet nobody came up to her. Sometimes we should allow ourselves to be human and not follow the whole script.
