      Although I would love a Jenn podcast, I would hate for her focus to split and thus taking away from her CZcams! She's producing quality and I think that has a lot to do with keeping her work manageable and not overdoing it!

      @@suzifatke6902 i feel like if she did it on her extra "work time" or between creative cycles or "just because" like emma chamberlain, it would be successful for her!! because i would listen to her talk about anything and everything -- she's like an older sister!! maybe a good set of subjects would be for when she wants to dive deep into deep topics like life lessons

    Only Jenn could make me want to read a textbook. "The Bottlenecks of the 21st Century" only has 3 reviews on Goodreads... a sleeper!
    Also, "Storyworthy" is one of my all-time favorite books after reading it from one of your recs! Sooo good. One of the books I bring up and recommend to others the most. Homework for Life has been a huge game-changer for me over the years

    I am binge-watching a lot of your videos. You are terrific at speaking. You don't use filler words. You pause using the word 'so' but it's a purposeful pause to collect your thoughts. It's addicting to listen to people who speak so eloquently. I haven't read a physical book in a while. I try to complete an audiobook per month. When I listen, I color, draw, do gentle yoga, or go on a walk. It's multitasking, but with my brain on autopilot so I can focus on the book. I am not an audio learner, but I find the way people speak during books readings striking. I admire it even more when the book is read by the author. However, I do need to get back into physical books.

      If you’re reading, it’s fun đŸ€·đŸœâ€â™€ïž I typically read one “light” book and one less-light book at the same time; the substantive book is easier to get through and the lighter book feels less like fluff. I read faster that way, for some reason

    Thank you for sharing! I've read Storyworthy, but have since stopped doing my homework. This has inspired me to go back to it. The book I am currently reading, which I can already tell will be in the top 10 books I've ever read, is called Team of Rivals. It's about Abraham Lincoln, who was a master of seeing the potential in people and building teams who could accomplish incredibly difficult tasks. It has radically changed the way I think about leadership and personal growth. I know you will enjoy it, Jenn!

Ive only been doing it for a couple of weeks but its made me much more confident and helped me realise i have valuable experiences everyday. Im also recording one second of my life everyday for 2023 which is helping in a similar way. Ive recently read the alchemist which is a short story/fable about following your personal legend and little anecdotes about destiny. Bigger and better books on my bookshelf for 2023!! 😊😊

    Hi Jen! Thank you for keeping us curious. Your videos are always a go-to when I find myself in a reading rut. I highly recommend The Body Keeps Score - written by a psychiatrist, it talks about how the role of trauma in psychiatric illness has changed over the past 20 years; what we have learned about the ways the brain is shaped by traumatic experiences; how traumatic stress is a response of the entire organism and how that knowledge needs be integrated into healing practices. The author speaks to trauma survivors - think war vets and victims of sexual abuse - to show how trauma literally reshapes both body and brain, compromising sufferers’ capacities for pleasure. It is a wonderful piece of literature I highly recommend to everyone!

    My partner and I have lived TV-free for just over a year now and I LOVE IT!! My god it’s so good just not having shit playing in the background all the time or using it as a distraction when we’re bored. We still have a laptop to watch movies on when we want to, but it’s awesome to not just sit down and automatically turn the tv on. Everything you’ve said is so true!

    Hey Jenn I’m inspired by you as always, I’m never a fan of reading but would like to start. I do prefer reading from physical books but physical books take up so much space, what do you do with old books ?

    hi jenn! my biggest book recommendation is einstein's dreams by alan lightman; i tend to not even describe it so there's no expectations but it's about a world of ways time could be different and it reminded me of how our lives are precious. it's a short and sweet read, i hope you see this!

    • @iiikol
      @iiikol Pƙed rokem +2

      completely agree, i do love this book as well. it’s a fictional collage of Einstein’s diary, basically, and it tackles different versions of time . i love it because it makes you reevaluate how you spend your time. i know i’m not selling it really well but I guess everyone could get something out of reading it❀

    This is what sets you apart from your friend CZcamsrs (no offense to those CZcamsrs because I still watch all of them!) You are interesting and have SUBSTANCE because you’re constantly educating yourself (and us!) about all kinds of things. I feel like you kind of pulled apart from the crowd for me, maybe 2 or 3 years ago. Yes, the videography and editing on your videos are great, but so are some of your fellow CZcamsrs. What really sets you apart is that you’re vulnerable, therefore relatable, and to top it off, you love bettering yourself and telling us about what you do to that end. Thanks for being someone I love watching!❀
