Honestly don’t even worry about this. I’ve been reading on my own for a while now, and I’ve noticed that my scores on English assignments, tests, and exams as well as the ACT have been fairly high, with a lot less studying than for other sections. Just read something everyday, whether it’s actually an informative book or just some novel.

That does seem effecient. I'm mainly interested in romance novels, and I often look up unfamiliar words from them. I try to use context clues, but I usually still don't get it. I'm also trying to learn a new language, so when I read, I immediately write down a new word and its meaning just in case i need to go back to it. So I'll apply the same thing with words in English bc I'd recognize the word but often forget the meaning

Another book I would suggest reading is The Art of War by Sun Tzu. It’s an amazing book Focusing on military strategy, psychology and tactics. Each section concentrates on a different facet of warfare and draws out important themes such as communication, strength and positioning. It is quite hard to read for a beginner or a non-native English speaker but it’s a timeless classic of East Asian culture and history and is still taught in some colleges today.

If someone says they’re smarter then don’t believe them intelligence isn’t up to IQ it’s determined ability to learn. Intelligence is incredibly broad in scope. Intelligence as it’s measured today is left up to tons of factors like general mood, environment, experiences and social interactions. Just focus on improving yourself not everything is so predetermined

Books give information, can increase vocabulary, and is great for one's imagination! But always remember:
    -experience is a good teacher
-not all books give the same information of a subject
-don't just read fact-based books, read story books
-write: what you know, what you learned, what you wish to learn
-if you don't know something, ask
This is advice from a high school student, so maybe I'm not worth listening to, but I hope I can help. Have fun and be productive!

Remember be careful with electric items as they could hurt you and or someone else and or start a fire also be careful of anything that produces heat or a flame. Also eat red meat and processed meat in moderation and attempt to avoid eating burnt or roasted food as all are known to increase your risk of cancer. Also there's a tick that can make you dangerously allergic to mammal meat and other mammal products (at least so I've heard I believe it's called the lone star tick)
