Flare was bad but what I love about flare is there is actual lore to the story of the old man and his pokemon. Pokemon X and Y have the most potential to do amazing in remakes with indepth lore that ties in with Flars

Team skull is literally perfect. It's a gang, doing more child friendly gang activities
And they're not super-rich like the other (actual) villain teams, so there's not nearly as much shame when some random tween comes and wrecks them all.
kinda reminds me of team yell, just supporting their boss's little sister, they ain't doing anything wrong
I think a major point behind team plasma was that they were hypocrites. Like a real demonstration of how the grunts can believe in a “higher cause” but the leaders really know what’s going on
That’s the case with Team Galactic, at least a few grunts claim to have no idea what his plans are
BW2 explains that not all of the sages & grunts are evil. Neo-Plasma is made up of the sages & grunts who liked Ghetsis' plan for domination, but the other half of Team Plasma genuinely didn't know Ghetsis' true nature & believed in N's vision of a peaceful world for pokemon.
In this case, not even the person they saw as leader knew what was going on.
One of the grunts in the team plasma castle at the end of BW says they were stealing and using Pokémon to use a slave labour to build the castle, which is another huge plot hole, since N is supposed to believe that an organization that enslaves Pokémon to build the castle he grew up in would have the goal of liberating Pokémon. UNLESS you consider that Ghetsis is a conniving manipulative bastard who likely used those Pokémon that were enslaved to convince N that they don’t like to have friendships with humans. Since N seems to have been mostly locked away in the castle until you meet him for the first time, and Ghetsis starts putting his plan into action, he would have deliberately only been shown Pokémon that hate humans up until he meets with and battles the player character, which explains why he changes his mind so quickly about Pokémon and their relationship to humans.

The plot hole in team Star is: why didn’t Geta or Harrington (ex director) tell Clavell and the new faculty staff what really happened with team Star in person before hiring them?
Probably geta didnt Know enought and harrington, i remember there was some emplanation but o dont remember
@cosmiccheese4140 Geta didn't know enough true, Harrison however was actively trying to cover everything up. That why he didn't say anything, then when team Star finally got punished for the lies cast against them, Harrison would technically be able to return without question.

Macro casmos are the villains
Bad guys != Villains
They aren't doing that anymore , people weirdly cling on that for some reason
They literally weren't actually villains. They were portrayed as villains to try and get people to ignore Macro Cosmos
Team skull was really like "yeah, we evil. Watcha gonna do? Beat up our leader? That won't stop us. Instead, we're going to be friends with you and still be evil."
And we love them for it.
well y'see that's the thing about team star. the whole point of them is that they aren't actually villains, just victims who decided to fight back and got _treated_ like villains for it
That's what we call a zero tolerance policy here in the USA.
@amxterxsu138 you do realize he's joking right?
They're still shit and the message is as effective as cool cat saves the kids
Kinda reminds me of the Japanese idiom: the nail that sticks out gets hammered down
The funny part is they didn't even fight back, they literally just got together and told the people bullying them to back off or else they'd step up, and the bullies pussed out and left.
Guzma is one of the best entities to grace us in the Pokemon universe. Also I think the Ultra Recon Squad should have had some more story, seems like they were kinda there just because.
Yeah but what we really needed was more Guzma story in the post game of the ultra games
Tbf Giovanni was absolutely listening to Goldenrod radio

Fair enough. But they aren’t really evil. They just have… questionable methods to bring about the change that is required.
Truth in that man
Exactly that’s why I love them
they tried fighting back against bullies and were punished for fighting back.
The issue with rose's plot hole is that we didn't know about regieleki until the crown tundra and im sure he didn't know about regieleki either
DLC content just ruins any main-game storyline unless the DLC was specifically made to continue it.
Besides, Rose's plan was somewhat justifiable considering the whole "If we can solve it now, why should we leave the issue for the future who might not be able to solve it?" Part, but then Regieleki sorta just comes in and makes his plan seem incredibly stupid
@@Marblesoda821
Yeah, Rose was honestly right, but not only did the introduction of Regieleki kinda poke a hole in his plan, the way said plan was handled by the writers was just stupid as hell
Part of me really feels like Rose wasn't originally intended to be an antagonist, but the staff making Sword/Shield were goaded into attempting a second Lusamine with him.
Team Star really isn’t a villain team. They’re just some kids who wanted to protect themselves and other people from bullies, they just got a bit carried away with it.

That's not a plothole. It wasn't the broadcast they wanted. It was the fact that team rocket wanted to do something that would hopefully get Giovanni's attention. It's not that he listens to the radio, but that he would see on TV or the internet or whatever that they did it.
I mean, in HG/SS if there was an event causing you to travel back in time and beat Giovanni while he is preparing to join Team Rocket. He did listen to the radio broadcast.
Also during the time travel it is revealed that your rival in HG/SS is Giovannis son
Team Skull is the superior evil team, confirmed.
Opening up Minecraft doesn't just apply to Cyrus, I think all the villains would benefit from doing so.
I was gonna say Lysander but then I remembered that the whole reason behind his plan was that everyone was destroying the environment
But, Giovanni was really listening to goldenrod radio . . . We had to stop him from going to them ourselves with time travel.
Team Plasma is basically the pokemon version of PETA.
Facist PETA
Team Skull is indeed perfect
Sadly Cyrus is one of those Minecraft players who still fails the game in creative mode
Other evil teams being losers and having major plot holes
Team skull: 🗿
So you're telling me every evil team is still smarter and more logical than 99% of hate groups in the real world?
Imagine literally dissing a bunch of children who just wanted revenge. Hmaz IS the bully.
Don't people who play pokemon diss kids like the bug catchers? What's the difference with that in comparison to this
the Lusamine plan makes sense in normal sun and moon, but then, ultra sun and moon came and it fricked up the story
It still makes sense. She needed the recon squad for their information about Necrozma (who in her eyes is the manifestation of the thing she hates the most) and knew they wouldn’t lend her the legendaries because Necrozma is in their own world
I think Team Skull were genuinely well written. The fact that most used unevolved Pokémon at hogh levels felt dumb until i reached Po Town. Then learning they were kids that gave up the Island challenge really hit home. Playing it in my mid teens really hit home, as the possibility of failing exams and not getting a stable job was looming large.
I don't get the why team star gets so much sh!t. It's frankly the most realistic "villain" team in the whole Pokémon series.
People seem to forget that the protagonist is a literal child. Having them beat people with world conquest/eradication as their end goal is beyond ridiculous. How are they a threat to anyone if the lose to a kid? That none of them just beat the sh!t out of the protag or straight up kill them for meddling is hilariously unrealistic. No one is going to care that they brained a kid in the grand scheme of things.
Having a Pokémon game that's set in a school have bullying as a main theme in the "villain" story is realistic. And their story is actually kinda interesting. That's more then I can say about most others, especially the early gen teams.
As someone that has been playing Pokémon since the 90s, SV is by far the best written Pokémon main series game.
Another team did it first
On that note, most of the actual villain teams were super-rich - save for Team Skull. Pretty humiliating for these big rich groups to get foiled by a random tween.
Team Skull and their lack of plot holes. They're perfect~♡
"If Cyrus wanted to make a new world, he could've just loaded up Minecraft" 💀
Team Plasma just needed N to be charismatic and not question Ghetsis too much. Then he could be their cult figurehead while Ghetsis pulled the strings.
You can sum up every single main mistake in one sentence. They tried to control a powerful, godly pokemon
This man was right about Team Skull, my boi Guzma took a huge W ✨
At least Magma and Aqua embraced their mistake
Team skull were comically evil that’s why they had no holes in their plans, they just had theirs mustaches out by some railways while their victims are tied to rail with a rope. And I love team skull they’re the best
Team Skull: just a bunch of lovable numbskulls. Perfection.
Team star is a bunch of kids and not as evil or high stakes as the others but their plot is very compelling
Currently, i count two fails on your premise.
You didn't point out a plothole for cyrus. You made a lame joke
You didn't point out a plothole for team star. You just stated that you dont like them for not being evil.
Giovanni was listening to the radio, thank god Celebi event.

I really like how Cyrus is written as a villain, so it makes sense that he couldn’t actually come up with a valid plot hole.

Aether Foundation, Macro Cosmos, and Ultra Recon Squad are not evil teams.

That picture of Lusamine got me acting up
Fr
The plot hole in team star was none of the members knew who Cassiopeia was yet they dedicated a whole organization built without her presence
Aery just needs tights no futher explanation needed
For Rose, he was so hyperfixated on utilizing Dynamax Energy to solve the energy crisis that he gained tunnel vision. He most likely dismissed Regileki or any other electic Pokémon that could solve the issues because it wasn't the project he was working on.
You ever think about how johto Team Rocket actually figured out a way to forcibly evolve pokemon with nothing but radio waves, then jacked a gigantic radio tower and instead of using it they....called daddy to come home?
😂😂😂😂😂 That's my boi!!!!!!! Team skull is so flawed, they are the perfect villains
Team plasma’s plan or well ghetsis’ plan was to grow N as a person that knows anything about the world so it can be manipulated as others wish, in fact, ghetsis’ team is a counter to N’s team, that probably means that when all the pokemon of unova would have been freed, probably ghetsis would’ve betrayed N and make himself the leader of the region, ghetsis honestly really is the biggest mastermind of all Pokémon
I had the funniest thing with this short. It appeared right above a short which had the thumbnail of Kazuya’s Tekken 8 pose, so it made an image of Kazuya’s very serious pose and then it leads to Lysander as the head of it which is funny for some reason to me.
I know this is probably a joke but
Team star is the definition of
" Die as a hero or Live long enough and see yourself become a villian"
Team Star are more like the Ed Edd and Eddy of the villain world, they only cause annoyances rather then real lasting harm.
Team star was never meant to be viewed as villains, their just a gang of kids
Another example of why team skull are goated🗿
Hmaz: I think I forgot something
Everyone: of you forgot it it’s not important
Hmaz: your right
Meanwhile Team yell

Ok, Rose was talking about Dyanmax Energy, and also doesn't know about regieiki... Still... What a bastard he was.
You forgot that with chairman rose, he could have dealt with it the next day but no it needs to happen now, and the game says that there MIGHT be a power crisis in 1000 years he didn’t even need to deal with it
Team star’s plot hole was having Penny(a character I have a crush on ever since I saw her) as their leader/founder so I have to tolerate them
Right? If he was just a little bit more patient, he could’ve definitely achieved his plans….unless some random person in Geosenge Town saw an archaic weapon charging power in the middle of town and decided to tell someone about it.
team star was real close to being something interesting imo. I like thw hole friends with a shared past narrative but it was just so nothingness. "we got bullied and made the bullies go away, bullying is bad." it's just so juvenile and unserious
"if Cyrus wanted to create a

Because Team Star weren't villains. They were, in reality, just misunderstood, bullied kids that were antagonized by people's perspectives.

Guzma: “Finally someone who ain’t stupid”
"Nobody can call your plan stupid if you don't have a plan"-Guzma
It's funny because Giovanni did hear the broadcast
To be fair, Rose's reasoning for starting The Darkest Day is nonsense even without Regieleki because that's the point of his character. He doesn't want to save gallar as much as he wants to be it's savior, so he starts a calamity with no regards for the safety of the people he claims to love so much to avoid another calamity they have plenty of time to adapt and prepare for
He's not a misunderstood hero, he is a megalomaniac hypocrite with a martyr complex
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR PUTTING IT THAT WAY! I have ranted and raved about Rose so many times, and it never occurred to me that this was his reasoning! I always assumed he was just overtly stupid. I mean, he is, but now it makes more sense WHY he's overtly stupid xD
The fact Hmaz remembered the Ultra Recon Squad before remembering Team Yell says a lot about Team Yell's problems (Team Skull 2, Electric Boogaloo)
All fun and games until the IRS come knocking on team skulls door
Team Rocket's message did reach Giovanni, not to mention that Goldenrod's radio signal could reach part of Kanto, apart from the whole Johto Region.
There’s actually an event in Gold and Silver Where you would get a Celabi And if you took them to a small little shrine at the beginning of the game.
You started an interesting little storyline where you find out that your rival is Giovanni‘s son.
And then later, in the same event, you end up finding Giovanni in a cave.
Listening to the Goldenrod radio.
And you happen to walk in as he is seriously contemplating going back to running team rocket decides to battle you and upon losing decides that his original idea of leaving was the right call.
So their plan wasn’t really as dumb as you think.
As for team plasma.
N as a kid was specifically only shown Pokémon that had been abused by their trainers to interact with.
So they kinda conditioned him to thinking that Pokémon will always be mistreated.
Team Star was great tho. Compared to other evil teams, their history and motives are relatively more down to earth and relatable to players while still being over the top and crazy enough to fit into a pokemon game.
The only thing I'd say is stupid about them was how when all of their bullies were scared off by their ultimate weapon, it somehow didn't immediately click for them like "hey now that the school is free of bullies, we can go back to school and feel safe snd secure"
With the Lusamine one, in Normal Sun and Moon it makes sense because the Ultra Recon Squad didn’t exist until the remakes I believe.
Similar with Galar.
Biggest plot hole in Team Galactic's plan:
Why the f_ck is the pokémon of space/time hanging out on some random, unremarkable mountain on some random, unremarkable celestial object at this random, unremarkable time, when they could literally be _anywhere/anywhen_ else?! Seriously, there are more interesting places in our own galaxy.
Or, better question: how did they know this red chain idea would work? How could they have _tested_ the fundamental principles needed to realize "hey, if we harvest these crystals from these legendary pokémon, we'll be able to harness the fundamental powers of the universe!"
Or, better question, how could Cyrus hope to recreate the universe when it's so indescribibly vast & indescribibly dynamic that we _literally_ cannot comprehend it. Like, there are more molecules of H²O in a 16.9floz bottle of water than there are stars in existence! And, even if the legendaries are allowed to autopilot somewhat, _he_ thinks he can edit out spirit and write himself in as god?
Yeah, don't think too hard about Team Galactic's plan. It's big for the sake of being big. At least Team Flare's plan has practical and achievable steps, even if it is straight out of a Tom Clancy plot, not to mention every social collapse/doomsday prepper's wet dream.
Rose's main reason for being evil is because he wants to solve a problem that is thousands of years away from being an issue
Briar’s was just, not expecting the possibility that the kids could come to harm I guess?
to be fair, who would expect a pokemon to break a master ball? that's only ever happened twice before (both in the manga), and those were against the ultimate killing machine (mewtwo) and the god of space (palkia).
