Great information video. I’m trying to heal my hypothyroidism with carnivore. I was on levothyroxine for 20 plus years . I leaned off levothyroxine a year ago and now my TSH 12 but T4 and T3 are in range . I will continue to eat carnivores but will not start taking Levothyroxine. Thank you for sharing your success story and you look amazing!

Aloha from Maui, Rebekah❤, i am 52 and i have the same thing too. But i do care more to stay healthy than loose more weight that i already lost for the past 2 years of carnivore/ lion. I also do OMAD 5 days on work week and 18/6 for my 2 days off.

This was/is very helpful. Very clear and concise. I think I got overloaded with info from other sources that it became overwhelming and frustrating. I’m in menopause, I gained weight because of it along with hot flashes. During that time I didn’t have much of an appetite. Went in carnivore, because I don’t want HRT. My hot flashes went away within 2 weeks! I’ve gained more weight since being carnivore but I understand it’s the process. It’s uncomfortable but it’s also humbling. It is refreshing to watch this video to keep me encouraged that my body needs to heal and to trust the process. Thank you!

Needed to hear this. I lost a lot of weight on carnivore and now I can feel I become super hungry again and I’ve been trying to restrict out of fear to gain weight again. Your video is my confirmation to give my body what it wants again. 🙏🏼

I am one of those that cannot lose weight - well I did on ozempic for 6 months, eating around 900 calories a day and having to sleep 12 hours a day, felt dreadful, no energy. I lost 10kg in 6 months, put it back on in 6 weeks.
Given up dieting. Going for healing.

Thank you for this reassurance. I was pretty healthy before I started carnivore but I did have some hormone, mood and arthritis issues. I mainly wanted to lose 30 lbs. immediately I lost 14 lbs and then stalled for weeks, then lost 2 more lbs and now I’ve gained back 3. When I try to go leaner, my brain goes to the dark side again, so I’m frustrated that I can’t reach my weight loss goals. I do feel better though so there isn’t another diet that would be better. I am tempted to calorie restrict but I guess I shouldn’t. Just be more patient.

9 1/2 months on carnivore to heal my MS. I am also 16 months postpartum. I yet have not gotten my cycle back yet, and not sure why. I stopped breastfeeding at 9 months as well. I allow unfortunately intrusive thoughts get the most of me at times. Which not great whatsoever. I know that you can understand as another fellow sister in Christ.
Idk if switching to carnivore cold Turkey and still trying to figure out if I’m eating enough for my body and all , if that’s why I’m have yet gotten my cycle. I just don’t know where to start in regards this. Idk if that is messed up my thyroid or something

I want to share with you that a month ago, as soon as I changed my woe to eating more especially fat like you recommended and holding those negative thoughts captive and surrendered all to God , I got my period few days later! And not only that, I became pregnant with my third baby! God is so good! 🙏🏾🤗🥰 All glory to God almighty

When I felt like I had the energy to. I never wanted exercise to be forced. I walked and stretched though almost throughout the entire journey. Aside from those really really rough patches that I was bedbound.

Please speak on how to know if I’m fat adapted. Been carnivore for 3 weeks now… been priming, just following my hunger and eating lots of fat. Got some things to heal and 10kg to lose. Keto pee sticks are not showing I have ketones in my wee so does this mean I’m not fat adapted or just that I’m not peeing them out.
I do feel better generally but I wanna know that what I’m doing is working 🙏🏼😘

It sounds like you may need more time/ some tweaking possibly.
Some telltale signs are - better energy and focus, no cravings, sleeping through the night.
Great video. I shared it. Question - Do you have labs to show you reversed CIRS? I know you mentioned you had it.
I've shared my labs before, and will have to find my box them to share again ( I paid a fee for my doctors to print out my labs over the years and have a ginormous stack)
Not sure if I have shared the specific markers for CIRS. I personally don't feel extremely motivated to "convince" anyone of the truth especially because I'm not the only one reversing it with labs to confirm.

Thankyou for all your informative videos. I am enjoying my carnivore journey. I’m finding I am waking up at night to pee 2-3 times per night - my kidneys seem to excrete large amounts of water when sleeping. I take 5 grams Redmonds per day in addition to salting my food - OMAD - looking to lose 30lbs - any thoughts please? I don’t have any health issues and I take no medication.
OMAD requires a lot of insulin and it finally lowers again at night and finally releases water. You may find more balance with 2 mad, or getting your electrolytes on empty vs all on food/ when insulin is elevated.

I have a question I need answered.
When asked about the argument for this diet, many in the carnivore community will argue from a position of ancestry. They will reference cavemen’s diets or how primates ate..
This doesn’t seem right. How would you argue the diet of only eating meat from a Christian perspective? God made plants to eat too. The Bible is covered in references to bread. He provides Manna…
Anyway, I’m convinced of this diet as it’s healed me tremendously. But I can’t square it with what I understand theologically

The plants that we have nowadays are so genetically modified that it's nothing like our ancestors would have eaten. Same goes for bread/ manna. I've reintroduced many foods (including einkorn sourdough).
I believe a meat &only* diet is very wise to use as an elimination diet or if someone chooses to maintain this way of eating for the sake of food sobriety. I've never been of the stance that all plants foods will kill us OR are wrong to eat. It is very clear that we are designed to eat meat and designated by God (after the flood).
According to God, what comes out of the mouth is what matters. Not what goes in. (Romans)
It's also on us to take care of our bodies as the temple of the Holy Ghost. I believe that looks slightly different from person to person. There was a season that taking care of my body meant literally Not eating anything but meat, because that's the only way I would not end up with blood in my stool or involuntarily throwing up. I used God given wisdom and discernment during my healing journey in deciding when to reintroduce other foods. I believe everyone should lean on the Holy Ghost and never a one size fits all approach.

I’m on day 29 transitioning from keto to carnivore. I initially did very well on keto before last baby reversed many health issues & lost 95 pounds, tons of energy etc. I stayed completely keto during pregnancy and 2 yrs bf afterwards and weaned this past September but the energy levels are nowhere like before last pregnancy on keto.) on carnivore I’ve gotten that energy back and ifeeling great but my issue is I’m definitely undereating bc I’m rarely hungry lately. I have about 30-35 roughly to lose. Should I force myself to eat anyways to “prime” or ride out the lack of appetite and wait until I’m truly hungry?
I would plug in your macros and make sure you're getting appropriate amounts. If you have any underlying thyroid issues, that should probably be addressed first. Eating adequate amounts is crucial for that.
@@rebekahheishman-tailoredke8939 thank you! Yes my hormones are still lacking somewhere, this was my third pregnancy and we had 2 years bf so I’m sure that took a toll on hormones! I’ve been tracking since Jan 1st on the LoseIt app and that’s how I knew I wasn’t eating enough most days I was eating maybe 120-140g fat and 90-120 G protein, (between 1500-1900 calories if we’re counting lol). I Just started my cycle today and yesterday I was really Hungry and ate 220g of fat and 140g protein lol Today I checked my weight just to see if it had any effect and I Lost 1.5 pounds so I think I’m definitely going to keep up on fat and protein for a bit
Do you advocate eating when not hungry to reach a certain amount of protein or fat? Or trust your hunger signals?
Personally I always try to hit my minimum protein goal (.8g per pound lean mass) unless i'm doing a true fast. Otherwise listen to hunger.

I'm so confused now as what to do. Was told I'm eating too much butter and that's why I gained weight. Cut back and my hot flashes started back. I gained 20 pounds which seems like a lot to gain when trying to fix my health issues. I was already overweight. Just confused.
There's definitely a sweet spot in between. Increasing fat intake very slowly can help you to find that sweet spot. I would be thrilled to help you if you're interested in health coaching!

I am 62. I lost about 25 pounds the first year on Carnivore and then gained most of it back this past year despite eating the same way. Not sure what to think?

I have had MS for 10 years and in a wheelchair for 8. I have been grain free for about five years and started Carnivore about a year ago. I slowly got rid of the junk like "chips". I just ate fatty red meat and have lost too much weight and am struggling to gain now. I have always had difficulties gaining weight so I guess this is my metabolism. I don't understand this "macros" thing. Can someone help me...please?

Slow and steady is the best process because your body is adaptive and your Internal organs don't like to be shocked!

Quick note: muscle doesn't weigh more than fat (a lb is a lb) but it is more dense. A lb of muscle is smaller than a lb of fat. Also i appreciate that carnivore healed you but it IS a form of restriction.
Not at all when other foods literally make you vomit involuntarily and produce blood in stools! Beef, salt and water DID feel too "restrictive" for me. Organs, allowing stevia and dairy for the first 2 months, and plenty of different cuts of lamb, goat and veal made it sustainable for me personally. Not reacting/being disabled to what I was eating made it EASY. This is what humans were created to eat. I highly doubt our ancestors felt restricted. I have reintroduced so many foods and yet choose to eat only meat many days because it's the only thing I truly crave, and the only thing that truly satiates.
@@rebekahheishman-tailoredke8939 I tried but felt unwell after a number of days. Weak gallbladder I suspect (genetic) . I have gotten away from forcing myself to eat veg though.
I hear the poor doggie whining in the background. But I am trying to pay attention to what is being said although as an ultimate animal lover, that's hard with not seeing the dog and what's going on with him.
He is just being impatient to play outside (he gets to swim in a pond and play with his best friend Charlie every day). Moose is completely pampered and loved to pieces 😊💖
