Nah man. Every player that gets minutes on the floor has the support of their team, that's just a plain fact. And Jeremy got plenty of playing time after New York.
He's more of what happens when people have unrealistic expectations including fans. The teams he went to after was expecting him to bring that Linsanity magic. If him or his coaches/team would have sat him down and focused on his strengths to become a consistent role player instead of trying to be a super star, he'd still be in the league today. Now, he eventually did that in Charlotte which led to him earning a starting spot in Brooklyn but by then he took too long and it became too little too late

The reason Steve Novak was hitting all those shots, the reason Landry Fields and Jared Jeffries (who was absolutely awful before Jeremy Lin got playing time) started playing well out of nowhere is BECAUSE of Jeremy Lin. He got into the paint, drew the defense, and actually LOOKED for his open teammates. Before that, their offense was... give the ball to Melo and everyone stands around and watches him ISO for 20 seconds. There was 0 ball movement. 0 chemistry.
Jeremy Lin utilized every one of his teammates. Novak was always a superb 3-point shooter... but his teammates barely looked for him before that. Lin gave him the wide open shots he needed to excel. Lin played the pick n roll with Tyson Chandler and Amar'e Stoudemire to perfection and gave them easy baskets. Same thing with Jeffries. And he had great chemistry with Landry Fields, as well.

Disagree. The problem was that Jeremy or maybe the teams Jeremy was on including fans, was expecting him to bring the magic of Linsanity. If he would have just focused on his strengths and developed into a consistent role player EARLIER like he did in Charlotte rather than try so hard to be that Linsanity superstar, he would still be in the nba today. JJ mentions this a lot when he talks about how to have a long successful paid career and how to earn a place in the nba

  • @KxngKUDA

This is one of Melo's biggest blemishes on his career. He was known to be a selfish player, and it wasn't more evident till he ran Lin outta NY because he didn't like the attention he garnered. Lin was an unselfish team player who had the hunger and drive to succeed. He was what NY basketball needed, and exactly what that team needed; a team oriented playmaker who can knock down shots in big moments. He would have been doing his best to compliment his team, Melo included/especially.
They stripped him of his confidence at his highest peak

If you not from NY stop inventing nonsense, there plenty of games with he and Melo gelling and celebrating together. No one told Lin to chase the money and abandon NY in the playoffs when he could have played.

that was so awesome. i really wish he could've gone further in the nba. i remember when he was in houston there was this one stat who had the highest percentage finishing around the rim from x feet or something like that. Lebron James was 1 and Jlin was #2. so i went back and looked at his season highlights of fast breaks and he was so good at finishing at the rim

At this point, the team should raise a banner for "Linsanity" in MSG - especially since the NY Knicks haven't had much to celebrate in more than 20 years. Haha!

Linsanity was the best thing that happened to NYK, and the NBA.
tyson chandler played his best games. Steve novak hitting 3s. Landry fields, jared jeffries. Shumpert. Amare playing good, he looked eager to play. He was rolling to the basket and even dishing good passes. JR smith even geled with the team coming off the bench.
That team if not broken up, is sure to win a championship 🏆 💯% that season and the next 2 🏆🏆
