@@jeremyjones2485 Well, Nash had his best years with him and who knows what would have happened in 2007 hadn't Robert Horry decided to switch sports mid game and body him, would they be able to win the series and beat Lebron? Who knows. CP3 got injured in the most crucial of times. And as for the 27 missed 3s, don't you think those misses are a bit on the team? They also lacked their second best player and their floor general. And it was D'Antoni's offense that allowed them to have the opportunity to shoot those 3s and come close to challenging what was the most stacked team the NBA has probably ever seen. As for the Lakers, they had no chemistry, Kobe and Dwight were beefing, Nash was 38 and his body was falling apart, the Gasol and Dwight fit was horrible, and they did not even give him a chance since they rushed to get Kobe another championship.

Yea this is probly the most on point argument, most on point theory of the game of NBA today. The Suns since Nash is all we see on TV and that brand that •Stoudemire-Nash-Raja-Barbosa-TimThomas-Marion-GHill-Diaw• is modern Hoops, and all hoopers are doing what the Suns did 15-17 years ago.. Barbosa's weakish play was the liability, but it is watt it is. It was amazing to see those guys play how they played especially S Marion who really had that flicky shot style just do it their style but fast fast fast. Nash's Defense got exposed too. Sad. They were amazing, huge props to Dantonio's futuristic style of hooping envision. I gotta give it up to Mike, thanks for doing it man in Phoenix and Houston. You are so far the greatest coach in the NBA in this short beginning of the 21st century. You K.O.-ed Phil Jackson Mann. Increddd-ible. You made James Hardy a Man, you have prolonged CP3's career!, you probly blueprinted the Warriors b4 they became who they are, and look at Giannis' game.. You taught and showed that fast hard smart stylish basketball is the best brand of hoops.. Even a guy like Kawhi cannot keep up year in and out of this style. You put JJ Reddick out of business coach D.. Big cheers to you. It was honestly.. I would run to the TV to catch Nash-Stoudemire-Raja in action. See Raja was that glue, the anchor, his demeanor, I remember coach.. It was honestly.. Just straight up thanks for that team Mann.. It was so pretty watching that team. This is why coaching is often times a toss up unless you’re top tier innovative. You have to have the right system crafted around your players. If you don’t have the right players, your system isn’t going to work or you might have to to mix up your system. I’d say it’s more of the former than the latter though. In a system like Mike’s, you have to have the right mix and that doesn’t come around often. Like he said; without Steve, Amare, and the other guys, their success wouldn’t have happened.

Redick was right about the pick & roll play between Nash and Amar. In order for the p & r to work effectively, the guard has to be able to shoot well from the outside. Nash was an excellent shoot from mid-range and behind the arc, so the defense had to be tight. This is something Westbrick never learned in his 13+ year career. Chris Paul is still an excellent p & r player because he is deadly from the mid-range.

It’s funny how little people actually know about the history of the NBA. Mike D’Antoni wasn’t the pioneer or revolutionary that people make him out to be. In fact, it was Rick Pitino who first ran a fast-paced offense that shot a lot of threes with the Knicks during the late 80’s and very early 90’s. Don Nelson was one of the first NBA coaches (the other being Del Harris) to emphasize positional versatility in which guards played like forwards, and forwards and centers played like guards. But it was Rick Pitino who really emphasized the faster pace combined with a lot of volume three-point shooting.
