    I understand that these analysts have to make the show interesting by throwing controversial statements out there. But please stop talking about Luka Dončić like an ordinary rookie whose career started when he entered the NBA. What the NBA calls "hostile environment" and "high pressure situations", for Luka, that's like a walk in the park compared to the crowds and fan abuse he faced while in Europe. Name him the best player in the Dallas-GSW series and no one can blame you. If his supporting cast show up, GSW is not only in big trouble, they also might lose the series. Dallas' hunger to win is severely underestimated and I think a lot of people are about to be surprised or even shocked about the outcome of the WCF.

My only issue with Luka is the number of calls he gets at home, specifically when he's not playing well. The NBA seems to be against allowing the Warriors to move forward. Warriors have been looking tired. I'm not sure if that was the 10+ to 1 calls favoring the Grizz or if there are injuries. Luka's was looking energized for a star in the postseason the last game. Curry has been looking tired. Somehow I think it will come down to team basketball and scoring buckets. Hopefully, the whistle isn't too lopsided.

    i feel like the mavs have a chance just due to how they play. the warriors work best when they can get out and run and create a lot of shots for steph and klay, who have both been less efficient this year. the grizzlies like to play this way, but no matter how fast you play and how good you are in transition, if you try to play that way you aren’t beating the warriors (for example, look at the 2018 rockets). however, the mavs are a team that like to play slow - they are statistically one of if not the slowest team in the league - and like to get set into their offense more solidly as they play. this slower pace of play means that unless the warriors really sharpen up their d (which definitely can happen, but klay especially has been looking a step slow on defense post injury) to force a bunch of turnovers, this drastically decreases the amounts of shots the dubs can put up. not to mention the mavs don’t have to really account for size like with deandre ayton and the suns. overall people said the mavs winning against the suns was almost impossible, and while i’m not saying they will win this series, i think it’ll be at least closer then a lot of people believe

      @marshallward5284 Před 2 lety

      Blew them out once. Not 3 times.
      I thought the jazz would win the series if Luka couldn’t play, but thought the Mavs would win if luka came back healthy.
      I thought suns in 7. I never really believed in the suns hype, and honestly don’t value the Mavs win as much as the media does.
      A 10th seed pelicans without Zion, pushed the suns to 6 games. They were a great regular season team, but vulnerable in the playoffs.
      Anyway, we will see what happens. I never bet against the warriors

    • @marshallward5284
      @marshallward5284 Před 2 lety

      Out of all the play off opponents we would least want to play I would go
      1. Memphis
      2, Denver
      3. Dallas
      Luka is great. Great at offense, can be exploited on defense.
      After that … Brunson… Dimwiddie
      It’s just not a deep team. It’s a team we can cook.
      I’m much more concerned with Memphis size or the MVP joker
      The warriors feast on teams like Dallas when healthy in the playoffs

      it will be a tough series(especially if Dinwiddie plays like how he played game 7) however, the reason the suns lost was not because the Mavs played well, it was beause CP3 played terrible. He went from 23 points to 11 points when they left home.

    Marcus Spears point on "Pace", is the best take. Luca is an old school take in this era's new up and down style that has basically eliminated the big man. One way to beat the guard heavy style is to disrupt the flow, and Dallas style can make it a dirty slow grind of a game where GSW may not be able to find rhythm to win the series.

    Funny how a lot of people are saying people are saying the mavs are underrated.
    No one is doing that to the mavs it's jist that the people they've played aside Utah have been really good playoff teams
    Suns were in the final last year and Warriors have been to 5 finals and won 3 even though they had a two year hiatus. It's not underestimating anyone, it's stating the obvious.
    If the obvious doesn't happen then it doesn't

    I think it's a silly question to begin with. 1 game separated these teams, Dallas won the season series, and Golden State has a bunch of young guys who they rely on that wasn't apart of those championship runs so this series can go either way. I think it will be decided by Klay. If he's the old Klay GSW wins. If he's the Klay he's been so far since his return I give the nod to Dallas.
