F.I.S.T. Attacks the Metroid Throne on Nintendo Switch (Review)

F.I.S.T.: Forged in Shadow Torch is a new Metroidvania coming to Nintendo Switch on July 12, 2022. It originally came out on other platforms in 2021 and might remind you of a Metroid game or something to that Castlevania effect. It's good. It stars a rabbit. You fight robots. You protect the furtizens. All fur one and one fur all or some such. Check it out!

Couldn't agree more with the review. Almost done with it on my Steam Deck. I've gone through times of putting it down due to annoying difficulty spikes. It is still a beautiful and enjoyable experience overall. Minus the "fast" travel experience being very much out of the way.

I can only image the load times on the Switch ... they really need to update their hardware.. I played this on the PS 5 and loved it... Load times on Dread was terrible.. I hated that experience

While I love Metroid Dread, I have to agree with your comment about the load times. I don't believe it's the hardware that's the problem. If you played Samus Returns 3DS, load times are a none issue, also produced by Mercury Steam on weaker (3DS) hardware. Perhaps a match could fix Dread's loading, similar to how Nintendo fixed the boot up load time on Wii U.
