Pleasantly surprised in seeing more of this! Looked interesting on a first take but not much there, but to see the care crafted in the storytelling and world makes me excited! Also man, I love me a game with a Japanese VO option. Thanks for the video.
@Count Vidian oh man… seriously that’s actually my favourite option lol! Thanks for the heads up :) now I’m even more psyched. When I’m playing games made by teams from other countries I always prefer the option of their home language if it’s available. Just always feels more immersive and natural if that makes sense. So that’s actually awesome.

I'd love to see another Shadow Complex, Strider and Castlevania (likely Bloodstained from now on-). These were all really great games imo. Fist looks cool too, so much so that I just bought it!

I think they really missed an opportunity not making the drill orange - would look like a giant carrot strapped on the back.
I just completed this game 100%, fantastic metroidvania!
SO close to great! Movement feels quick (until boss-fights), but devolves; becomes a puzzle-humping slog- near the end..

hi, glad you liked it, i loved the style and the part where you said it respects player's time. one technical question though... should this game be installed on an ssd or a normal hdd will be fine? so basically i am asking if the streaming system cause any hic-ups on a disk drive. thnkx

It’s about 20 hours length , I’d say it’s a lengthy game
To be fair, ranged enemies are less a problem if you use other enemies as projectiles; that's what the fist's special action is for

The English dub is pretty good, although the lines can be awkwardly-translated at times. Also the other option is Chinese dub, not Japanese.

Yes
So far, loving it so far but at random times will freeze or when you go into a new area that will appear dark then the light comes but other then that still a good game
Is that on the ps4? I didn't have any hiccup. Only time I see load screen is when I died. My only real gripes are the weird button mapping and the lack of any camera control. It's an awesome game overall.
Is it worth it? I’m contemplating on buying it today.
@@raheemjessop if you're fan of the genre, it's definitely worth it. The game is surprisingly polish. They took quite a bit of inspiration from some of the industry's best.

It a fun game overall never had problems with it I fond it on the steam deck and wow so I went to PlayStation 5 and at the time it wasn’t there but I don’t know maybe a month or two later it showed up and I bought it and when it showed up on the Xbox I ended up buying it there too

The game is fun. The graphics look very good with lots of details throughout the environment.
Voice acting is on point with an interesting bunch of characters and stories.
Now the game has a hit detention where the punches sometimes don't land and you have to get very close to land them, also it feels like there a delays when doing combos and you can't switch or cancel when the animation happens.
Overall a solid game that can be enjoyable but frustrating😅
Just a correction - it’s a Chinese based game from TI Games in Shanghai (VO is Chinese not Japanese). Game was funded by China hero project created by Sony PlayStation.

Just collectibles. It’s a long enough game where replaying will only be spent collecting the stuff you missed and getting al the different customizations.

So how is this different then any other Metroidvania? Not that there is anything wrong with that formula. You said the dev set out to do something different but everything you named is what you would expect in a Metroidvania aside from the character designs. Not sure what you meant by that. I watched the video twice and I am still very confused.
Here: The attention to story and character development is a huge addition also the three weapons that are used for combos and traversal. Also, SP and EP moves. There ya go
thank you for mentioning the difficulty. Im so tired of games that require me to spend hundreds of hours repeating the same content. Great review that helped me take a pass on this one.
I know this is late but i played on normal and it was definitely on the easier side, although it spiked a bit on the end. However there's an easy difficulty if you're interested. The game is REALLY good so it'd be a shame to miss out on it because of difficulty. If you are thorough in your exploration you'll find enough upgrades to make the game easier
There are English and Chinese VO no Japanese VO. it's a Chinese game. It's hard to take a review seriously when you mess up something as basic as language options and studio information. Just a simple search on google will reveal that TiGAMES is based in Shanghai which you would figure that if their game is gonna have only one voiceover language other than English it would be their own language. it's so easy to figure out the VO is Chinese not Japanese. Not every Asia game are in Japanese man! you see a game from Asia that has Chinese character looking words you just assume it's Japanese? I can already see some people thinking they are experience "original" test of the game by listening to "Japanese" where the fact is they don't know what they listening to. It's just sad. Do your homework before post the review...

Has any right to be? There are tons of great stories with anthropomorphic characters out there, heck, zoomorphic art is older than the pyramids (if you want to know which ones, yes).
Got this on PC Epic platform, it was so glitchy, I couldn't even move through the menu properly, dialog boxes were stuck in the screen, etc. Felt too unpolished and buggy to continue playing, it's a real shame, because it looks really cool and I love Metroidvanias, but this game shouts "I'll be bugging all the time and annoy you in the worst moments of the game!" so I'll pass.

The game on ps4 is terrible. Framedrops and pop ups all over the place..........
