    I know for me the better I feel I get more compliments and attention. I am overweight trying to lose weight so I never thought I looked pretty. Then I found a style of clothes that look good on me. It’s really boosted my confidence and that in turn made me feel better about myself and I guess made me more attractive and more positivity thrown my way 😁. It really works!

      When I was heavier, I always felt more confident when I took care of my looks. I did my hair, nails, dressed well and people responded positively to me. Its all part of self care and self love 💕

      @@amandataylor6092I'm happy for you, Amanda! Time and effort for self care is great! Fat people do NOT have to dress in a frumpy manner, fade into the background, or be treated shabbily.
      You are worth it, and are such and inspiration!❤❤

    Since I graduated from college and entered teaching, I have dressed nicely and quite femininely. It has gotten me a lot of side-long looks from some other teachers who wonder why I bother, if I'm showing off, or if my husband makes a lot of money. I just feel more professional and put together when I do. It's not like I overdo it (a nice dress, matching shoes, delicate jewelry) but I like dressing up for my students and feel I do my best work when I feel at my best. It just get discouraging like I'm supposed to dress in jeans and a T-shirt.

      I think it's wonderful that you dress up for yourself and your students! What a lovely thing to do! For the people giving you the side eye?? Ignore them, their opinion is none of your concern. Keep living to your own standards. Much love xx

      You do you. I teach math in secondary school. I have also received side-long looks or passive aggressive comments of why I overdress to teach. Or the fact that I teach math implies that I should dress like my granny. Dressing up for work, even if it is teaching, makes me feel confident and shows my students a little bit more about who I am.

      I teach through an after school music program and we do have to wear the teacher t shirts but I like to make an effort in my appearance whether it’s a five minute or wearing some of my crystal jewelry (I’m into crystals) and I get the side eye sometimes from my female colleagues but then my students are obsessed with whatever jewelry I wear or when I do come to class wearing makeup, my students would give me compliments.

    The décolletage area is, indeed, one of the most feminine areas to behold. But please beware that it also is an area that can be easily damaged by the sun. When you are young you will not notice, but after years of even the most subtle sun exposure the décolletage area can look like a dry river and will make us look very old, even before our time, not to mention the risk of skin cancers. The solution, cover up while the sun, even if just going to the car. If wearing a low-cut dress use a wrap (which can also quite feminine) n the daytime, then take it off once indoors.

      @@Lillium1155 Actually, it IS normal to shed a lot of hair if you have a ton of it growing out of your head (like I do). Active, healthy hair follicles are constantly growing and shedding and growing again and that is a sign of good circulation. If you don't shed, you probably have very thin hair and poor circulation and you should see a doctor.

    Scientific studies have proven not repressing your feelings and being able to freely complain and express yourself actually makes you happier and your immune system functioning at a better rate.
    In fact if I have to hold my tongue around someone to appear ‘likable or feminine’ then they are not the kind of person I want in my life anyway.
    Not being able to complain or express yourself when something is actually bad is actually oppression and something we as women have been fighting for the rights of for quite some time now.
    To imply a woman who uses her voice to complain is unfeminine is the very definition of sexism.
    But otherwise your other tips were fun to listen to!

    • @MarieTheOstrich
      @MarieTheOstrich Před rokem +4

      yes it maybe makes you feel better but everyone around you absorbs this negative energy and feels worse. I think sharing with friends and sometimes complaining is okay, but people take it too far and use everyone who will listen as an emotional garbage can. There is a fine line between sharing and a negative Nelly who likes to complain all the time because it makes her feel better. These people are energy vampires

    Agree with all of these suggestions! I am not a big jewelry person, but I especially love to wear a delicate ankle bracelet during the warm weather... makes me feel ultra feminine and beautiful, even though most people wouldn't even notice you are wearing it. :)

    with number one---- I have a birthmark on my left clavicle right where the two bones meet- it's bright red and kind of looks like a cross between a hickey and a rash. I don't shy away from wearing shirts that show off my collarbone, but sometimes i feel a little self conscious of it because i don't want people getting the wrong idea. It's very hard to cover up as the texture of the skin in that spot is very bumpy. any tips?

    • @MK-cm8ec
      @MK-cm8ec Před rokem +2

      I have a birthmark between my collarbone. It’s light pink and the the skin is very thin there. My mother said it was from forceps when I was born. People have mistaken it for a tracheostomy scar or hickey. I dab a bit of Nars concealer on it. (The one in the little pot, and I choose a color a bit deeper than my tinted face moisturizer.) I also like to wear pearls or pendants that hit in that spot to feel prettier and draw attention up to my smile. Hope that helps. 😊

    In the last couple of months I startet to hate my hands, because I got Neurodermitis there, so they look raw and ugly all the time. Plus, because of all the scratching I'm doing with my nails, they are dirty all the time, idk what I could do about it. It's just not so easy to get rid of a medical condition :/ I would love to have my beautiful hands back from before

      Don't stress - not everything on this list has to be checked off. It's all just about doing the best you can and doing whatever makes YOU feel best and feel good! ❤️ Maybe instead try having fun by adding more feminine earrings/necklaces or lipcolor in the meantime!

    When you exfoliate your skin like you said your not really exfoliating it… those grains are too big to penetrate and do something.
    What you are doing is something superficial and can “hurt” your skin.
    Better option is a exfoliating tonic 😘

      There’s no reason to exfoliate twice a day …you will destroy your skins natural acid mantle or barrier.
