Best things I did for confidence:
Stopped wearing makeup
Stopped dying my hair
Deleted social media
Work out for energy and skills and not for how I look
Stopped eating junk food
Stopped looking in the mirror
Never been more relaxed, happy and healthy.
You stopped looking in the mirror ? Well … I guess you better do or u can’t see what is going on in ur face 😅
❤
How did you start working out but not for a certain number ?
Good for you! That is so impressive. And so HEALTHY!
Sry to say but it's not a positive confidence for sure
I was bullied for being tall and skinny guess who went on to be a model and made her 💰 at young age,now mom of three still fine af
🔥🔥🔥🔥
Woooo
Still fine af 🤣❤️ love this for you
I was bullied as well for being tall and skinny until I turn 17 and suddenly everyone started to call me a model, and boys would start to notice me. I am in my 40 -es now and still slim, love my long limbs 😊

I once saw the writer Isabel Allende in an interview, and she was talking about her insecurities when she was younger (being very small, etc.). And she told a story about how she once worked for a designer, and they had the job of hiding or somehow covering up a massive pillar in a home they perceived as ugly, right in the middle of the house they were working on. They couldn't do it; nothing worked. And in the end, they decided to instead paint it bright red and make it a statement. Then Isabel said in the interview that she had learned from this: "If you can't hide it, SHOW IT." Boom. It has been years since I saw that interview but this advice really stuck with me, and I apply it frequently (among other pearls of wisdom because that woman is amazing). If you can't hide it, show it.
Love that so much! ❤️
I love how gently motivating your videos are. I don’t feel overwhelmed to make change. Instead, it feels like small, manageable steps. Thank you 💗
💖💖
Thank you for the great vids. Are you wearing Invisalign? I’m considering it. Thank You
@@JillzGuerin True the way you speak makes changing soft I listen to many motivators but the way you explain things makes it unique and soft .. thanks and keep going 🙂
I’m built like my dad- tall, broad shoulders, and muscular. My build has always plagued my thoughts because I never feel feminine. But as I’m older I realize femininity ≠ dainty and small. I’m learning to love my strength
You are so right about this! I am a blue-eyed redhead with freckles and I got teased a lot when I was a young girl. I flipped the script a long time ago and decided to embrace my pale skin, my blue eyes and my red hair. Turns out, red hair and blue eyes is the rarest color combination on the planet. Talk about unique!
Ahhh a RARE BEAUTY 🔥🔥🔥
Please use sunscreen, y’all. No matter your skin type, daily sun protection is essential for preventing premature aging & skin cancer. I’ve noticed a big difference in the health of my skin since simplifying my skincare & making sunscreen a daily habit. ✌️
Amen!
I'm with you on the jaw one. I used to think my jaw was too masculine and felt insecure about it. Now people get jaw implants to look like that. Beauty standarts are temporary, it's important to learn to appreciate uniqueness from a young age, especially for women.
I totally agree that less is more when it comes to outer beauty. My skin is so healthy and beautiful and all I use is cleanser and moisturizer. I drink lots of water, eat well, and get lots of exercise / fresh air. I think that's all it takes!
And I wanted to say that after (binge) watching your videos I realized I didn't have very many clothes that made me feel beautiful and feminine and that were my age, so I invested in myself and went shopping and it's been a game changer! If anyone else feels this way and has the means, go to a store where they're willing to help you find the best pieces for you, because if you're like me, I didn't even know what to look for! It's only been a week but having nice clothes that I feel good in is life-changing. Thanks Jillz!
That is a great tip!!❤
Go girl!
Good for you!❤
N😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
If you can’t/choose not to invest in a new wardrobe then go thrifting! It’s an inexpensive way to experiment with styles, colours, length of hems, necklines, belts etc. Are you more a geometric-print kind of gal? Or are you more florals? Do you like small prints? Or large? Thrifting is a great way to find the things you will want to invest in.
As a licensed skincare professional I think a lot of the problems people have when it comes to skincare aren't from using "too many" products. They come from using the wrong products for your skin type and skin conditions. Nutrition can go a long way in skin health, and I agree that a simple routine is great, but going to a licensed professional to learn what your skin needs rather than following the advice of influencers who don't have any formal education in skincare is important.
Yes...influencers would tell me to be gentle with my oily skin. I was still dealing with acne in my early 40's. Then a dermatologist told me it isn't "oily skin," it's sebacceous hyperplasia (and rosacea). I changed my skin care products to follow his recommendations and boom...I needed fewer products and my skin is better.
@@andreaplummer3841 exactly, my husband has gotten sebaceous hyperplasia before as well as barrier compromised skin. With the correct products his skin is finally healthy.
@@kaylahevans8334What type of professional should we go to? I went to be a dermatologist, and he really didn't help.

For the first time in like 20 years, I'm going back to my natural hair. I started dying around 13 years old. I thought my natural brown was so boring, I would dye it red, auburn or black. Though I was always doubting whether these shades actually went with my skin, but I did it anyway out of this strange hatred for my medium brown. Well, after dealing with depression and letting the color go for a couple years, my hair is mostly natural again. I kept telling myself that I was going to dye it again until I started realizing how beautiful my brown looked next to my skin complexion and eyes. Like you say, it's like the whole package was designed to flatter each part. I think I going to stick with my color for awhile as it seems I'm finally starting to appreciate it.
It's crazy honestly! I've always been insecure about my skin. The problem is for the opposite reason. I'm naturally tanned and I was born in a country where people prefer pale skin! I was so self conscious about it when I was a teenager, I even stopped going to the beach/pool. But that makes you realize that you'll never make everybody happy, so we should just embrace who we are 🌼🤍
My skin changed so much when I started visualizing myself out in the world with beautiful glowing acne free skin. Those thoughts and images naturally directed me to making the decisions that helped me clear my acne from the inside out and also using gentle products. (I use honey to cleanse my skin)❤ and now I look at my skin the way I used to imagine. So good 😍
Oh I've been wanting to try honey on my skin for a while!! I think I need to give it a go 😊
@@JillzGuerin i remove makeup first and then cleanse with honey and cold water. So good! I hope you like it!
Visualisation is powerful. Truly works
Slay ❤I want to try that! is there a certain type of honey you use?
I'm glad you made peace with your jawline. It was actually one of the first things I've noticed about you and I absolutely love it! Isn't it funny, how we believe that we think of something as an insecurity, but someone else love this feature? (=
It was funny hearing her say that because I was always jealous of women with more defined jaw lines. Like Kiera Knightly, Margot Robbie etc. Always felt bad about my more long face. We always seem to want what we cant have. Then I saw a celebrity that's considered gorgeous and she had my face shape. I started realizing how stupid I was to think all face shapes can't be gorgeous.
Thank you Jill! Once again you’ve open my eyes changed my life for the better without me even expecting it. You’ve again bamboozled me in the best of ways. Finding your channel was one of the best gifts the universe has ever given me.❤
And this is why I keep coming back each week...I have been sitting here shaking my head "yes" the entire time you have been speaking. I wish I had your knowledge-base when I was your age. You are definitely well-versed in this capacity. As always, another great and relevant video. Have a lovely week!
Thank you so much!!! 💕💕
I love love love these videos! I’m going through some pretty heavy life stuff and I think working from home exclusively the last 3-4 years has attributed to me not being myself and struggling mentally and physically. I’ve gained body fat and stopped taking care of myself and showing up for myself. Your videos are calling me out and it’s the push I need!! Love the helpfulness and gentleness and the insight!
You posted this at the perfect time, as I had my hair color appointment scheduled for next week. I’m naturally a dirty blonde and started coloring my hair to make it look more bright/platinum a few years ago. I love how it looks but I don’t love how damaging the process has been on my hair. I just looked at myself in the mirror and cancelled my appointment for next week. Thank you ❤❤❤
Your hair will definitely get so much healthier!! So exciting!! 💖
Good for you! Random thought for you to take or leave: a lot of my friends growing up had “dirty blonde” or “mousy brown” hair, which are not nice names for such beautiful colors. You might tawny, ash blonde, dark blonde, or dimensional blonde if any of those suit you. Words are powerful 💕
Such solid advice!!!! It wasn’t until I started resetting my gut microbiome that I started getting the skin and hair I used to dream about 😅 Internal love & health = External beauty & radiance. 💖
How do you do that?
Thanks Jillz, it's true. When you embrace your imperfections it makes you unique and beautiful ❤️
Agree with every word! It really reflects how we take care of ourselves. Internally focused or externally. Also, couldn't noticed, your calm and romantic energy is contagious! 🥰
I related to all of these! This made me feel more self assured in what I bc was already thinking.
I’ve already (mostly) ditched the makeup and often to care for my skin instead of cover it up, return my base hair color to normal, and a big one for me personally was embrace my curls and learn to work with them instead of against them!
I also struggled with being insecure with my skin color and body shape. Changing my mind set really helped me accept myself.
Love this 😍 For me affirmations for beauty and self love were the game changer..totally transformed my self image. Love your videos 🥰
I‘m 14 and the whole blond-turning-darker thing is happening to me rn, and I‘ve just started panicking a little bit😅🙈 and dying it back blond (since this summer), but you‘ve inspired me to let it go🥰 Thank you so much, your videos are so amazing!!!
I love your perspective! I can relate in a lot of ways and I feel more inspired to take better care of myself and let my natural beauty shine ✨❤️
This is such an encouraging reminder to speak and treat ourselves well~ I feel excited to sit down, have a cup of tea/coffee whenever you have a new upload 🥰 Also, your point on how we dress reminded me of colour seasons and kibbe body types - I realised the colours in the video frame your complexion so well! 💖 It's definitely an interesting topic I've been learning lately
One of the best beauty decisions I ever made was returning to my natural hair color. At 29, I ditched the platinum blonde for medium brown with natural highlights. I absolutely feel so much classier and more beautiful PLUS It’s much cheaper, easier.
Ahh that's amazing! It just feels so good! 🔥
@@JillzGuerin 🥰
And I definitely agree with the blonde thing, I was a natural blonde and had such bright blonde hair as a kid, now I’m always wanting to dye my hair and get highlights, loved the tip on that!
You're the big sister/mentor/older figure that I never knew I needed. Thank you!
I so agree with you on all the tips, especially the one you talk about what we give our body and what we eat, I changed my diet and it literally affected my outside too alot, thanks Jillz
As a mom of 17yo daughter who struggles with self image and confidence (she is an introvert), I really wish she would listen to advice from others. She doesn’t take me seriously because I’m her mom, you know how that goes. You deliver such amazing advice with poise and confidence, which is very convincing. Keep doing an awesome job 🙌 P. S. I didn’t have anyone telling me these tips, not even my mom, but I figured it out eventually on my own. Including the natural hair color and fitness and skin care routines. I agree with you 💯 about everything you mentioned, especially mind set. It’s really all about how we think which makes us feel a certain way, both good and bad 😉
thank you for sharing these thoughts🥺I used to have the confidence in my natural beauty, but as time passes, I find out that nobody likes the way I look, which gradually decreases my confidence in my natural beauty. I hope I can get that confidence back someday and stop caring about how others feel about my appearance.
I feel your pain. And share it. I am not physically attractive. Perhaps if we can think of ourselves as beautiful, it doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks, or even what the objective reality is. We are unique and special, and if we choose to believe we are beautiful, we will at least be happier and more confident.
@@pmw3839 omg, your message really helps😭thank you so much
The hair! As soon as I stopped dying my hair, I felt so much more confident. I am a dark brunette and dyed it bleach blonde to fit into a standard of beauty that did not suit me. I 💯 agree! I feel more confident now, plus my hair looks healthier. At one point, it was so stringy and yucky! I'm glad you brought that one up.
I am brown skin girl. Here brown skin is something like a mistake. Was been humiliated from very young age (nearly 5-6yr old kid) its a truma now. Even night i cried. This vdo is a sign 🥺to self love
❤️❤️❤️
Oh my gosh, the ’I want to be blonde because I was blonde as a child’ totally is a thing! I used to do that for so long before I truly found myself in my early 30s. Now I’ve been in my natural hair color for years and I love it, it’s so me and I feel so much more confident with it 😍 funny enough, my hair is almost exactly the same color as yours 😘
Great tips! Two things that really helped me embracing myself and were life changing for me were Kibbe body type system, with which i found clothe lines, hairstyles, make up even jewelry that suits me the best and also finding out my color season! I definitely recomment both of them for every woman!
Seconded ❤
Amazing video! I also decided to embrace my paleness and now am so happy with my skin tone. I love the contrast between light skin and dark hair, it makes me feel beautiful
My spirit resonated with everything said! 👏🏽👏🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Keeping it simple, is feminine energy vs having like a 7-10 step beauty routine/regiment.
I really like the perspective of this video. I'm now trying to make my legs beautiful to my eyes. My legs are short, chubby and VERY pale. But I'm trying to improve the shape and put moisturizer to make make legs look healthier 🥰
We just need to accept what we can't change, and work in problems we can solve.
I decided a few weeks ago to grow out my natural hair color, instead of dying it childhood blonde, which I’ve been doing for decades. Thanks for confirming that’s the right decision.
Ahhh omg so exciting!! I think you’re going to love it 💜
Ever since I was in early teen years, I started dying my hair. I just thought my natural brown was too boring. I would always try red or black. I lost the momentum and my hair grew out a lot. I kept contemplating what color I was going to do, until it dawned on me that my natural hair actually looks great next to my complexion. I thought it was boring but now I'm seeing how pretty my skin looks next to my shade.
I highlighted my hair over 20 years to be my childhood blonde and during Covid restrictions I just let my hair grow out to it’s natural shade which is a dark ash blonde with gold and red throughout and it is beautiful!!! I wonder now why I ever changed it because it looks so cool with my pale skin and it’s very neutral so it makes getting dressed really easy!!! I love my natural hair!!! Also there may be times when it gets uncomfortable being natural because it’s like we always see enhanced versions so my advice is when it starts to feel like your natural hair isn’t good enough think of the reasons why it’s perfect for you and how Mother Nature isn’t wrong 🙏
I was always insicure about my gapped teeths, and this rly level up my thinking about my self and now I think it's OK to be different
Jillz: thank you. I think I've never commented any CZcams videos ever, but here I am. I'm so happy I found your channel. YES TO ALL THESE TIPS. A few weeks ago I went to buy cute/feminine/colorful clothes (I realized my winter wardrobe was all baggy and boring) and I started to dress up even though I stay at home to study. It makes a huuuuuge difference, I feel more feminine and so good. Your channel is very important.
Ahh I'm so glad you commented!! Yes it makes such a huge difference in how you feel - I feel like people have had this mindset that spending money on clothes is silly and a waste of money. But it can also be the best investment if you do it right!! 💕
Thank you for reminding me to embrace softness and simplicity. Another gem of a video Jillz.
Have a great week 💗
Thank you, Jillz, this really did feel like a talk with a good friend. Wonderful ideas and you're confirming some things I've been moving toward recently. It's great to have the confirmation that it's a good direction!
I cant stop staring at your natural hair color, it is absolutely stunning!
I haven’t finished watching it yet, but I wanted to comment about the first part. I too have always been insecure about how pale I am as Alaska Native. It always made me feel like I don’t belong, especially as my mom and brother have dark features but I do not. But I like your idea of flipping the script - instead of being insecure about this difference, I can make that something unique about me.
You really radiate with beauty and I 100% agree that beauty comes from within
I adore this. Thank you for being vulnerable and honest.. we appreciate you!
You are literally the only person I saw so far who said taking care of your body is the best skincare. I used to have really bad acne’s, and I kept binge eating junk food during those times because they were really bad time for me. Mad I thought that buying tons of beauty products made up for everything I ate. But once I decided to let all that go and focus on eating healthy food everyday, my skin started clearing up. Trust me, it takes a lot of patience. A lot. And most time, I just wanted to used makeup and products for my skin again but I didn’t. Taking care of yourself is the greatest gift you can do for yourself.
The last point - going back to my natural hair color ! I can’t relate more ! I agree ! It’s so true !
very off topic but that shade of blue looks absolutely stunning on you. compliments your hair and skintone beautifully (and also brings out your eyes). so pretty!! 🤍
I agree wholeheartedly about natural hair color. I stopped highlighting my hair seven years ago after 20 years of substantial highlights. The change was so dramatic, even family members asked if I died my hair and often looked puzzled when I told them I’d actually STOPPED dyeing it. So much healthier and it made me look younger.
I have two!! 🥰
I also stopped getting balayage/ highlights in my hair and I my natural hair color looks so much better! I look so much more fresh! Maybe it’s not “trendy” without the face framing highlights- but I actually look younger and it flatters me better! Not to mention my hair is so much healthier when I’m not putting bleach on it!
This is one of the best videos I’ve ever seen. Thank you.
Amazing video!! It is true that oftentimes only we notice specific things about ourselves that other people wouldn't notice. Nobody sees you feature to feature but rather you as a whole.
❤️❤️❤️
My natural hair colour is very similar to yours, and that is actually why I was drawn to your channel. I saw how beautiful your hair was, and it sparked that within me, that my natural hair can be beautiful too.
Absolutely right, many people only 'cover' skin problems with bad products. It ONLY comes from within- what you eat, your health and your positive mindset👍👍
Well done Jillz, hopefully many people use the chance to transform to 'real ' health🍀🍀😊💪👍 regards from Germany, Evi
I have noticed your face shape on videos, but only a way where I have thought “she has good face structure and the hair and make up look 👌 on her face shape” honestly 😊 and there are lots of models with that face shape too x
Aw thank you! 💜
Thanks for the tips! I totally agree with you about the hair color. I colored my hair so much , that I started to believe my natural color was ugly. How small minded! Half of my life when not coloring my locks were gorgeous. I decided to embrace all of me and that means my natural hair color. I also speak to myself and affirm, I am beautiful, blessed, intelligent, God fearing, well read and if no one else thinks so , I know so. Blessings! 🙏😊
You are a gem. Great tips and advice! I really needed to hear, "dress for movement."
I like your down to earth gentle energy ✨️
All the features you said you didn't like about yourself when you were younger are the prettiest I found when I watched your first video🌹
You are such a magical flower! Thanks for your videos and beautiful energy🌸✨
You're literally soooo pretty and nice
Aww thank you 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Your hair colour (and the rest of you!) is absolutely gorgeous, that's amazing that you went back to natural. I did too recently
Thank you Jillz for this inspired Video…you are so right confidence starts from the inside✨❤️This Video came on the right time. I am on a point in my life where I want to embrase my natural hair -> I know it will be hard for the moment cause my hair is short and it not looks feminine to me but I still want to start to grow my hair long and healthy. And by the side I am so proud how far you came with your subcribers… I remember of the beginning of last year you was on 3000 tausend or something and now you are at 29000🎉👏🏾Your videos has also helped me a lot.
Would love to see a video on your skincare routine/nighttime routine 🥰
Thank you so much for all your advice, I've decided to much all your videos because of the great value in them and I also keep many on a list a called "essentials" to rewatch at other moments in my life.
Basically I greatly value your work, lots of love from Argentina ❤
I love all your videos ❤ I feel awful while I'm having my period but watching your videos makes me feel better ❤ thanks! 😊
That was amazing! Thanks Jillz ❤
Love listening to you. Great advice.
Thanks for watching 😘
Dear Jillz, I always love, love, love your content and this one is no exception. I just wanted to know how much I appreciated the slower pace in this video where you share your message with no haste. It really attributes to me as a viewer to calm down and take it all in as your content is always about how to embrace life in all its beauty. I know that as a youtuber, it´s a thing to cram as much information as possible in as few minutes as possible, but I ussually gets so stressed out that I can´s see such vids anymore, but I sticked around for all your awesomeness, and this video was extra delightful to watch because of your slower vibes. Keep shining! Love, from Sweden
I love your videos! Just wanted to say that it’s not necessarily true that your body has an “imbalance” if you have acne. I had clear skin my whole life, then started “natural skincare” in my early 20s. I got severe acne, cysts, and perioral dermatitis from the “natural” products I used. I changed my diet, developed an eating disorder and became depressed. I did multiple blood tests, hormone level tests, everything always came back normal. Until I went to my dermatologist and they said to stop putting oils on my face. Years later, I use drugstore, affordable products, that have saved my skin. I eat whatever I want (I follow a healthy diet but also don’t restrict myself) and don’t stress about what I’m eating. Just as a precaution that saying things such as “acne is caused by an internal imbalance” can be very detrimental to how a girl thinks about herself. I know because I thought for years something was wrong with me when my body was healthy the whole time, I was just self-sabotaging my skin.
Ah yes I think I mentioned that it can be from a reaction to something you're putting on your skin! That happened to me once too - took out the product and it all magically went away lol! Love that you found what works for you 💕
I really loved these tips. Thank you again for the amazing content 💕
It's true. I'm growing back my eyebrows :) I used to hate them but now I love them.
We have the same hair color. Finding your channel is what encouraged me to keep it rather than dying it. And yeah, I love it!
I’ve always thought your hair was absolutely gorgeous
ah thank you!! 💖
Hey sis! i am so amused with this conversational way of sharing. I feel like were just hanging out and having girl talks. I truly appreciate all youve shared and i would be glad to apply them as well.
Thanks jillz❣️
Whenever i saw ur vedio ,always come to know new things which literally help me to grow into better self of mine...😌
I love your videos and you are my new favorite CZcamsr. Thanks for posting!
Aw thank you!! 💕💕
Amazing content. I've just found your videos and they are having a big impact on my life. Thank you 🙏❤
You're absolutely stunning Jillz! Many women would probably wish having a wider/more prominent jaw like you. However, we all indeed have our own features that make us us..and I truly believe we can make the best of what we have and shine in our own way. I have struggled a lot with my own appearence too in the past though. Still every now and then..(especially when seeing myself on camera). But getting more accepting and loving toward myself each year, and videos and personal shares like you share on here also help me growing my confidence. So thank you!
Thank you for helping me step into my favorite self 💕🎉
Jillz you nailed it on this...what you said was simple yet profound. It really starts with how you take of you internally. I am on a wellness journey and this will definitely help me along. Thank you💕
I feel more beautiful just by listening to you. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I'm loving your videos.
You are so close to 100k! Congrats Jillz!
i downsized my skin care like 3 months ago. my friend is an esthetician & while doing my facial, she said something i’m using or doing is sensitizing my skin because i actually don’t have sensitive skin(i thought i did my whole life). i was confused cause all i used was cleanser & moisturizer. now this is gonna sound crazy, but i stopped using cleanser. i only rinse my face in the shower & use witch hazel every other day to get rid of oil. when i tell you i don’t even get pimples around my period anymore! literally cutting out the cleanser fixed my issues on my face
Jillz, you're right! Love you ❤
Thank you for this video!! ❤️👌
I actually thought you did a colour analysis and found the perfect auburn hair for yourself lol ...I'm amazed that's its your natural hair colour because it really suits your eye colour and skin tone. 💫
totally agree on the natural hair one.
Tbh you don't look super pale to me! I look like Casper the Ghost in direct sunlight. Good on you for not staining your skin with chemicals to get a fake tan or baking in the sun. Embrace the pale :)
Not pale at all..
I totally agree with this! Boosting self-confidence will really start on the inside. I talk about this on my channel too.
I love this. I never have any skin care routine but my skin is fine no break outs just uneven skin tone. I'm starting to use vitamin c and moisturizer as I get older. Also using makeup with spf to protect my skin from the sun. I am starting to take better care of my body (food wise) and finding a style that fits my body type. I am starting to accept and love myself more. I always have a sexy aura lol even though I am petite. I think no matter what body type we have, we can always find a way to look our best.
It's a great video for teens, I wish I've seen it when I was 12-13 years old.
I loved the hair colour tip. I am doing the same. From light brown to my natural black hair colour.
Love it!! 🥰
The color of your top suits you soooo much. You look so beautiful
Ahh thank you so much!!❤️
Thank you for these tips. I have felt so ugly my whole life. At least since I can remember. I am going to flip the script now. 😊
I was platinum blonde as a kid too and now my hair is darker. I used to dye it platinum all the time. I recently went as close as I can to my natural color and am letting it be. The health of my hair is so much better and it's growing longer.
