The best tutorial video for Capcut that I’ve found to date. Great format, speed and depth of subject. Your presentation manner is smooth, concise and you don’t get in your own way, unlike many CZcamsrs. Thanks for your time and effort, it’s really appreciated.
Such a kind and detailed compliment. Thank you for watching :)
the best intro I've seen; great work!
I am brand new to CapCut. Thank you for taking your time and doing a slow walk through. As a beginner you make it easy to follow along. You have a new subscriber with me. Thank you!!!
Thank you explained perfectly, the best so far. Have subscribed.
Thank You! It took me about an hour to find you!
We need more videos that cover this for sure!
Absolutely the best video I have seen for basic interface understanding. Well paced, very well edited and done at a pace that the average person can stop and take notes. Operates as a well trained instructor. He does not presume that you know something ... as a video made for the general audience he is to be commended. When needed he lets one know that there are break out videos for more details to be shared. And he has no issue with saying, "I do not use this feature." No weeds here, just wheat for the mind. I would offer his video as a class on editing in general regardless of the editing app. Well done, Sir! And thank you for the effort needed to push this out; I have subscribed.
Is it okay if I frame this?! Thank you so much for such detailed feedback and review of the video. I appreciate your time and thank you for watching!
Great video! Keep up the good work!
more informative video, thanks sir
Thanks for watching!
Thanks
Thanks for this great tutorial. I'm editing a drama performance video with subtitles and needed to be able to move segments together with their subtitles. Your comment that you weren't sure what the Linkage On/off button did sent me in the right direction and it is indeed its function! Thanks again.
Very useful video thank help me a lot cheers
Excellent video! Thank you so much!
Thank you! Hope it helps you in your pursuit to create content!
That was awesome!! You saved me so much time going thru everything myself and trying to figure out where it was and how to use it... Thank you!!

Great video tutorial. Thank you!
Hey thanks! Enjoy your Capcut journey!
I am so intimidated but I am going to rewatch your video a million times. I can’t move forward with my project because I don’t know to how to edit. Thank you
I was intimidated too when I first started editing! It gets better once you get over the hump of learning the basics! You got this 🙌🏼
Beautiful software. I'll take this over any other video editing software.
Instant Sub👑💪🏾🙏🏾 great video.
Hey man thank you so much!
Awsome video, ima have to re watch a few times.
Thank you for watching!
Thank you for the video, more of a description of the program and features, not so much a tutorial on "How to" Left me with more questions than answers. Thanks
Feel free to ask your questions here!
Excellent! So easy to follow to get me started!
Thank you! I appreciate you taking the time to watch the video!
Excellent video! Thank you.

I appreciate the feedback! Thank you!
This is a great video-editing is not my wheelhouse & I hadn’t even considered CapCut for editing on computer. I’m sold.the effects & UI is so great.
CapCut is great for entirely level editors who need all the fun stickers, text animations, and the like. Hope you enjoy!
Do you perhaps know when the PRO version will be available for editing on the Macbook Pro?
Nice video, Thank you
Thank you for watching!
Amazing!
Thank you for watching and your feedback!
Fantastic intro to Capcut for pc. Thank you. Looking forward to catching up on the other videos 👏👏
Thanks Mike! Let me know how you like the other videos!
nice bro. very informative....keep it up...
Thank you for the feedback!
I agree with the guy below me. It's a great training video. I also use DaVinci Resolve but will use Capcut for certain projects. I love dealing with creativity and this editor surely does that! Thank you for doing such a great job!
DaVinci Resolve is excellent and a great editor to go deep into the details of editing video. Best of luck!
very usefull tutorial. Thank youy
No problem, thank you for watching!
It is great that you have a chapter index but it is not as detailed as I would like. Where is speed control well under Performace but not list. I thing slowing up to illustrate where you find/click to roll out specifics would help us old folks trying to learn this from the start. It took me a while to learn how to import. Lastly suggest that you recommend that others do what I did - bookmark the video so I can rewatch it. THANK YOU. This really helped.
Thank you for the feedback! This tutorial was meant to touch on everything a little bit with future, shorter videos that would go more in-depth. Check out the rest of my channel for more of those 😃
Exactly what I was looking for, as I am finally starting to use Capcut. Thanks a lot 🙏
Glad to know it was of help to you!
Liked and Subscribed! Best tutorial I have seen for capcut, Thank you

Well explained and clearly understood. Big thanks🙏.
Thank you for watching!

I have subscribed . Pete Western Australia
Peter, thank you very much for taking the time to provide feedback on this video. Best of look to you using CapCut!
Thanks for this tutorial. I only use my phone for editing because it is very easy for me. I find it complicated doing the edit in the computer but this is helpful.😊
Totally understand, plus you can edit anywhere with your phone!
11:40 This is what differentiates you as a great content creator! I was so taken back because not everyone is able to admit when they mess up and is willing to receive criticism. Keep doing what you are doing and you'll go far!!!!
It’s the only way to grow! Thank you for your nice words, and best of luck to you in all your video editing adventures!
Really love this video. I think It`s going to help me a lot since I just downloaded CapCut
Happy to help any way I can. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the video, very well explained congratulations !
This app is fantastic.
You are welcome!
Is there a way to return the playhead to the starting point?
Amazing video!! I’ve watched a lot of CapCut tutorials and your beginner guide is leaps and bounds the best.
The thing I seem to struggle with the most is editing audio, specifically when mixing and transitioning between different songs. I’d love a video specifically around the audio mixing and editing in CapCut and how to blend and transition between different song types.
Great idea for a video. Due to having a limited audio editing interface, I've actually started using Premiere Pro for more advanced edits. Capcut is great and unique in a lot of ways, but it typically lacks depth with its features. Makes sense, as it is not a robust editing software. It is targeted for the more casual user. If they improve the audio editing I will definitely be jumping on that soon!
Brother nice tutorial really helped me
Thank you sir! If there is anything else I can do to help let me know 🙌🏼 😃
thanks senior just start to learn how to edit and you have help me to no more about editing God bless you ❤🎉
No problem Jack! Happy to help any way I can!
I just downloaded CapCut and your video is the best I have seen for explanation of the functions. I am headed to your next video! Thanks!
Wow! Thank you so much for that feedback! I’ll be working on more and more videos to help you out!
Is it possible to "mark" audio files and video files? I am wanting to overlay an audio file with video file and sync them (audio and video): in iMovie it's possible to mark any file using the "M" function
Hi Shane. Thanks for the video. Was great but you asked and so I am delivering the goods. The video was super thorough and actually one of the best beginner videos I've seen so far. I am brand spanking new to CapCut and this was exactly what I was looking for ... an explanation of all of the tools first. The only thing I would change is a better explanation of the mirror tool. You said it was one of your favorites but I have no idea why. I will now need to look up another video to see what it can do. This was also done with the microphone tool. I understand that it records audio but once you record audio, will it stay with the clip that you've recorded it to- does it link with it? Can you separate the linkage? And can you add effects to it? Make your voice deeper etc? I would have also liked to have seen some examples of what the animations looked like and how you add them. The combo ones would be for the whole clip? Or can you stretch it the length that you want? Anyway, like I said, best video I have seen so far but those were just a couple of the improvements I would make. I subscribed and am excited to see more. Thanks again bud!
Hi Ximena! Thank you for such a thorough explanation to where I could have improved. I am currently in the process of breaking down features of CapCut for PC into different videos so I will definitely add these three to the list. Thank you for taking the time to touch on these three areas. I will get right to making new videos!
I really learnt alot watching your video, better than others I tried. I was able follow along easily. Thank you 😊
Happy to know it helped! Thank you for the feedback!
Very very helpful. I am an absolute beginner and was really looking for something that would summarize what can be done before diving in, as I was not sure if CapCut was for me. Good work Shane, will look at the other videos & I may ask specific question later.
Best of luck to you and your journey with CapCut! You got this
Thank you for this video as it's by far the best video that explains this application. Keep up the great work, the pace and explanation's are just what we needed to hear if you are just starting out.
Thank you for the detailed feedback! I appreciate the support 🙌🏼
Thanks for this very clear explanation of Capcut. I am totally new to video editing, started two days ago and downloaded DeVinci Resolve and found it really difficult so i looked around and found Capcut which does everything i need and have now uploaded two videos to CZcams. I subscribed to your channel and look forward to more videos from you.
Welcome to the video editing family! You’re right, Devinci is a lot from the start. Happy to help any way I can with Capcut! 🙌🏼
i don't hate this video at all. contrarywise, good job!
Gracias
I've only started using Cap cut and this is exactly what I needed. Thank you for taking the time to explain everything in lay man's terms.
Really well explained and shown. I will save this video for future reference.
So glad you are starting your video editing journey with CapCut! It is very beginner-friendly once you get your feet wet! Thank you for the feedback.
Exemplary content and thank you.
Thank you Peter! I’m glad to know it served you well!
Thanks and I'm curious if Capcut has a ducking function so the music track dips when the voice over is active?
I don't believe so. This is one of the downsides of CapCut for PC, they lack a lot of the common features you would see in a video editor like Premiere Pro or FCP
@@shanehubbardcreatorthx - I wasn't sure if I just couldn't find it or if it didn't exist.
Thanks for the video. Can you share Capcut for smartphone in depth tutorial also ?
That may be something I do in the future, though I dont do much editing on my phone.
Shane, How do I "record" or "capture" video from a professional VTR? I have it connected to my Mac via a thunderbolt cable.
I wish I knew Grey, but I've never done that before. Sorry man
Thank you for the great information. Can you do a dedicated video for color grading and color correction on capcut? I have problems with white balance on capcut and match the color of the footage in my 2 cameras. Also, I'm sure you've heard that before butt you look like John Krasinski 😅
You may be surprised by the number of times I am told I am Jim Halpert from Wish haha But yes, I am planning on doing more CapCut tutorials and color grading/correcting will be one of them!
I'm used to iMovie but when I upgraded from Catalina to Monterey my iMovie won't work and my MacBook pro is 2015. So I'm an absolute beginner on this app. You did a great job of clearly explaining all the icons. I'm a bit dense when it comes to remembering all of what is available, so I will watch again and again. I may have missed it but did you show us how to fade from one cut to the next for smooth transitions? I used this tool a lot in iMovie. Thanks again for your efforts for us guys and gals.
I didn't go over transitions specifically with this video but thankfully they are pretty self explanatory if you play around with them!
That was a fantastic tutorial. I wish I had of found this before now. You have earned a new sub 🙂 By the way, the audio in this video is really good, what sort of microphone are you using?
Thank you! I am using the Shure MV7 microphone for this tutorial
Great vid, thank you! Subscribed automatically when that feedback bit came on. Not many would do that, and colour me absolutely impressed. Looking forward to watching more of you!
I'm all for knowing how to improve. Anything to help out, thank you for the feedback
Is there a way to set and in and out point in the source clip before you drag it into the timeline?
You can trim the clip in the media tab but it’s hard to tell what it is you are trimming. I don’t recommend it. It should be a feature they add though
Thanks v much for your v easy to understand tutorial. Best primer I've come across starting on Capcut.
It may be better to start off with a short bit about the timeline and layers for sound, text, transitions, etc. It's like showing an empty canvas and how to build on that, and thence the Main Menu items and options will mean more.
32 minutes is a bit of a rush for a Full In Depth Tutorial to cover all the menus and options. It would have been better to start that there'll be 10 videos in this FIDT, and X1 - X10 will cover everything better. This way you can do menu items and options with favouriting as well as bringing at least one down to the timeline to demonstrate its effect. The demonstration part is priceless.
I've liked and subscribed.
Thank you very much for the feedback!
I just found your Chanel and you explain things so well! I do have a question I hope you can answer for me. In 2.6.0 CapCut, settings, project, underneath save to is a setting you did not have and I have googled it but can’t find how to set it “material downloading Path” mine is auto set to cloud. What is material downloading path? What cloud is it storing this in??
FYI I HAVE “SAVE” set to an EHD. thanks and I hope to hear back.
I too have googled that but do not see it in my settings. Odd, if I find out more I will reply
@beckykois7415 - When you click on the folder icon for “material downloading Path” , there is a little text at the top of the finder window saying "select path to save materials' so I guess it's where CC puts anything ['materials'] it downloads from the cloud to your local machine [which could be your EHD ] :)
The default is ...Capcut/User data/Cloud files/
Sir please please please tell how did you download your capcut please tell me
Great video. It helps me a lot. But, is there any ruler tools in Capcut? Or any idea how to align several text?.. ty in advance
Aligning is easy in Capcut! There is a yellow/orange like that will help you center your content!
Another EXCELLENT Video. New to CapCut and this really helps. One thing is you need to have PRO in order to download Captions. It's worth the $8 per month. Thanks.
Thanks for the tip!
You're welcome and keep making great vids! @@shanehubbardcreator
Great video I have one question I am using an apple computer and there is no menus on the top of the screen am I missing something???? Thanks Ron.
mmmm, that is really odd Ron. I am not aware of this bug but I will look into and see what I can find! Great question and thank you!
Good video. Does Capcut have a forum where the users can help one another?
Good question! Not that I am aware of but I know they have a Reddit page 🙌🏼
This is some awesome stuff you're doing. Love from India, I bet you will do great on CZcams pretty soon bro. Can you do a video about using overlays and where to get overlays for capcut and how to use it for pc version.
Thank you so much for the feedback! And yes, an overlay video is in the works 🙌🏼
Is there no trim window? you have to do all the trimming in the main timeline?
Yeah, trust me I was wondering the same. It’s not a feature yet
Hey there! Great video! Question...I have a project with a video clip and images at the end. I want to speed up my video but not my images. How do I do this because I just can't figure it out...or if it's even possible. Another question...the version of CapCut that you are showing in this video, is it the Pro version? Thank you! Take care!
Hey, thanks for the questions! The first one, you should be able to set the speed of each video to your liking. Have you tried this step yet? Second, this is not the Pro version. But I have heard several others comment that there seems to be two versions of this app on Desktop and that they don't see what I see. Not sure why that is :(
The knocking part was funny 😂. I am coming over from Camtasia Studio 7 and I'm so glad I didn't buy the latest version. Capcut blows Camtasia out of the water. Thanks!
CapCut is a great next step! Enjoy and thank you for watching 🙌🏼
@KeunMikeun : Hi, I used Camtasia, too. They can adjust the volume in any points we want, including gradually. But I don't see the same feature in Capcut.
For example: I want the audio volume on minute 1 to minute 2 on 75%, and then gradually go down to 20% between minute 2 and minute 5.
In Camtasia, we can create the points/dots on the audio track, and then move the audio "line/graphic" up and down between the dots.
Can we do that in Capcut PC free version? What I see it's only reducing/increasing volume at once, for the whole audio track. Fade-in/out feature doesnt coun't since that only affect the beginning and the end of the audio track.
Do you have a tutorial for making youtube intro on laptop?
I download my intro templates from Envato Elements
Great video, mate. Has anyone ever told you that you look like John Krasinski in "13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi"?
Yes! But they usually reference the Office lol thanks for watching
love your video...its very detailed...I have the latest desktop version..2.50 and I noticed that I don't have the canvas feature under basic video category...But then again I see that you are using a portrait video of yourself to show how canvas works. I am using a landscape video...Why wouldn't I see canvas on my download fro desktop on my mac? thanks. Norm
Thats odd, Norm. I've heard a lot about there being different versions and I am not sure why this is. I downloaded mine from the CapCut website.
Thanks so much! What type of Windows PC specs do you recommend? I read the CapCut recommendations, but do you feel you may nee more than what they say? Thanks!
I have run CapCut on a variety of machines and it runs smooth with the bare minimum requirements. It is one of the reasons I like it so much for new creators
@@shanehubbardcreator That's so interesting because in the CapCut Reddit community I see people constantly talking about performance issues and needing at least 16GB of RAM to edit and export 4K videos. Now, lord knows what else they are running on their machines or if it's infected with who knows what 😀 but it was enough people that I wanted to ask. Thanks for your help and videos!
@@RichieCavsRetrocade I have found that a lot of CapCut PC users have different versions of the software than I do. Some don't have basic features like sounds or transitions. I don't know where they downloaded their software but I downloaded it from the official website with no problems lol
@@shanehubbardcreator THAT is excellent to know 😀 Thanks again! Installing tonight.
You mentioned turn your video to a social media clip using the ratio. What rato would that be? 😊
9:16 vertical ratio 🙌🏼
