- Finally, Capcut for Desktop! Now that the FREE video editing app Capcut is available for Mac and PC, I put together a beginning-to-end tutorial for video editing for beginners using Capcut. This is my process for editing CZcams videos that I teach my clients and students!

Thank you for this great video. Do you know what is the shortcut to make the cursor go faster on CapCut. I am referring to the equivalent of the "L" short cut keyboard key on Final cut pro and also the "J" short cut keyboard key.
Great video. Is their anyway you can fade the music out at the end of the video? I know they make it real simple on Filmora.

Is this program only useable/ avaliable while online connected to internet?
i was waiting for the end to see the output of export bcos in my case it turn into 3 different files.. video cover that's jpg, video file that is mp4 and sound file that is mp3, could you tell me how to make a single file after editing is done?
Hey Meredith thanks for the video! Do you know how I can display what buttons I am pressing down on my keyboard, to show while I am screenrecording?
Automatically? The only editor that I know that does that is screenflow and it only works if you record and edit in screenflow. Otherwise you’d have to manually add the text to the screen at the right time.
@meredithmarsh_vidpromom camtasia probably does it too but I don’t know
When wil CapCut PRO be available for editing on a MacBook Pro?
I cannot see the media menu in the far left corner of my dashboard.
How dowload CZcams music into capcut for pc?
Does capcut have a play ahead from start feature? If I put the cursor on 1:01 and press stop then play again it will start again at 1:01 ? I have not found this feature, mines just stops where ever the cursor ends.

can you change the black background in capcut? my eyesight is not the best.
Can you do green screen editing? Do you if you can export video files in quicktime format with alpha channel? Quicktime with Alpha channel is a video file with transparent background. Similar to a png file
You can delete background with cutout. Even without using green screen . If you have a good resolution and enough contrast, it does a pretty good job.
Can't we use Capcut Text to speech to create YT long and short videos without any isses?
Thx for your site. Great info. I've noticed when I use CapCut Desktop and go to "Export", it wants me to join Pro to get it to work. What if I don't want pro? How to Export?
When I created the video, you didn’t need a pro account to export. Not sure if that changed 🤷♀️ hope not!
@@meredithmarsh It seems if you use the Laptop version, It wants you to use Pro, which costs. If you just use the website version, you can export.

what video software are you using so that you can stick yourself in the corner and watch what you are recording while you record it?
I use screenflow for that

Is there a simple way to get a 1.5 hour video to you tube that you really dont want to change anything ? Like a 1.5 hour bike ride where you just wanted the video on you tube just as the bike ride went.

How would this app compare to Filmora (which I already own)?
CapCut is free so you could download it and give it a try! I haven’t used Filmora in years so I wouldn’t be able to compare

No I edited it with Screenflow

You use keyframes to do that and scaling between the keyframes will give you a zoom in or out effect

I have a free verson but i cant seem to be able to export my videos to my pc..do i need a paid verson or am i doing something wrong?

Question - How do i set capcut up to follow the cursor in the timeline, when I'm playing back video? If I have all the clips expanded for some fine editing, when i click play, when the cursor goes off the screen, the timeline stays static. How do I get it to move to follow the cursor? Thanks!
I’m not sure if there is a setting for that but it’s super annoying isn’t it?!

hello, can i just ask if using capcut sound effects (pop, bell, whoosh sounds) cause copyright strikes on CZcams????
I believe they’re ok but you should check Capcuts TOS to be sure
