    IS THAT A FOOT-SHAPED NIKE SHOE??? This has to be closest to foot-shaped I’ve seen with Nike at least. This and the Vibram outsole makes me want to consider it.

      I've found the nike trail shoes i've tried (kiger and zegama) to have decent toe box volume tbh. That having been said i'm definitely fairly middle of the road when it comes to width, salomons are too narrow but altras (except the slim footshape ones) are too sloppy

    • @df540148
      @df540148 Před 9 měsíci +5

      What does "foot shaped" even mean? I think my feet are foot shaped and there's no way I can run in Altras. Stop with the marketing gobbley gook. Agreed with below that Nike trail shoes are a very accommodating fit, especially compared to their road shoes.

      Any shoe that fits one’s own feet well is obviously good. However with long narrow feet myself hearing a shoe fits rather wide is not what I want to hear but no doubt the reverse is also true. Shame really that there does not seem to be sufficient commercial value making more than the odd shoe model in different widths. Got to think this one is far too niche compared to say a Brooks Ghost to do so.

      @@df540148foot shaped like Altra and topo, doesn’t cut across the big toe. It’s actually really important to people with natural shaped feet - not just marketing. I actually find some other brands, including Nike Vaporfly and wider Inov8 pretty foot shaped too. Adidas, the worst pointy shapes

    The Nike trail shoes that I've worn over the years have always been comfortable. However, the lugs have always been too shallow and were sketchy on tech or sandstone. So, I've limited my wearing this shoe to loamy trails near my home. (Currently have the Peg 4 trail) At $250.00, will it be better than the Hoka Torrent or other models?

    My big critisim is this shoe was designed for the Trail's in the US and none technical trails with its shallow lug depth. Over here in Europe the trails are narrow with uneven variable rocky terrain and mud galor it just doesn't have the depth in the lugs to deal with the terrain over here in the UK and EU.

    Little puzzled by reviewing a prototype. If it has been good for lots of miles over a year and is still holding up well why was the outsole considered so bad it was swopped out. I wonder if the Vibram has added weight and/or has otherwise changed the feel of the shoe. Also for a shoe marketed for racing it seems very heavy from what have heard. Is that the Vibram I wonder...

      @@TheGingerRunner if the carbon isn't rigid, then the nylon would work the same...I think the marketing department helped design this shoe.

    I know, I'm that guy. But after souring on Nike over the last decade, Kara Goucher's book was the final straw. Nike might make great shoes, but the company sucks.

    I like how they kind of covered up and concealed the swoosh. That's really what it deserves.

    How anyones paying more than 100 for runners unless pro or rich is beyond me. They’re consumables, I’m going through 5-10 pairs a year.

    The first time I see a Nike trail shoe I would consider trying, but 250 dollars...? Seriously? This should be Endorphin Edge price range and these are available with nice discounts at the moment. So again, no reason to buy it. Also, shouldn't you have tried the final version? I can imagine that in a year they have changed considerably.

    Way too expensive. Folks, buying these won't make you an elite. You'll have the same amount of fun for half the price.

    The shoe of 2023 that all the Nike haters want to hate, that’s probably gonna be one of the best releases of the year and drive all the Nike haters even more insane 😂😂 so they buy something else because it’s nearly as a good but not Nike. The extra weight, isn’t that because it’s a trail shoe? And they all weigh more than road counterparts? Or is that not the case? I’ve used peg trail many times and never really noticed the weight on foot even though it’s significantly heavier in hand than my other road shoes and saucony edge that’s in a uk 11. The price sucks especially when I don’t need one 😢
