Trail Speed
For the first time in Nike Trail Running, we implemented a carbon Flyplate, layered between ZoomX foam and a knit fabric-wrapped midsole, to give you propulsive energy and a springy feel. It helps you stay fresh to continue pushing the limits of speed, whether you're at mile 1 or mile 50.
Traction for Various Conditions
Slimmer and lighter than a traditional outsole, the Vibram outsole has a sticky rubber that works with a chevron lug pattern to provide grip on both uphill climbs and downhill descents, even in wet weather.
Stable on the Trail
A flat bottom and minimized cross rocker give you optimal stability on trail terrain while the heel-to-toe rocker provides a smooth transition. Specifically engineered zones of support in the midfoot give you a secure, yet lightweight feel while weaving through the trail at a rapid pace.
Durability Where You Need It
The fabric wrap on the midsole helps to cushion the foam from the elements and abrasion of being on the trails. Hard-wearing abrasion-resistant materials provide durability.

As a runner, the reason they cover the zoom foam is because in outdoor running and hiking there’s a lot of things that can tear off and rip apart the foam (it tends to happen on their invisible run) so that fabric is made to protect it from

These are one of the best trail running shoes I've ever run in! Definitely includes all of Nike's best tech in it which is why the price point is so high. This is my go to shoe for all trail racing (mostly doing ultramarathons these days). I think you and a lot of other folks would really like the Zegama a lot more than this as there is more cushion, stability, durability and volume in the whole shoe. I would definitely wear those ones casually whereas these are optimized for running
You should review the adidas Avryn and Heawyn trainers.
I really want a pair to add to my collection but at 260 i'm going to have to pass....hate to but o well got my eyes on that 1080 v13 from New Ballance !! CAN'T WAIT!!
I love trail running shoes mostly for the outsole durability. I have two pairs of Nike Pegasus Trail 3s a pair of NB Fresh Foam x More Foam Trail 3s and a pair of NB Hierro Trail V7s.
fun fact: trail soles are softer and have less durability on asphalt
