The Devs must watch this. As the poster says, they are not focused on cheating but on *quality of life* and most of them could be game default.

couldnt agree more. i know that this is a beta and dealing with a smaller game company but this would def be a great direction to head in with the beta.
@@nationarmy2514 What most developers do nowadays is call their alpha a beta and early access is pretty much the beta. It’s just needed to call it early access to be able to sell it during development.
I love the speedy paths. I was hoping it would work like that by default when I got the game. Makes me think of Banished and it makes them worth while.
I'm happy that all these mods seem to be still in use and updated as far as I can tell. 🙂 I'm using a few QOL mods, but not most of these! Thank you for convincing me I need most of these as I wasn't sure if they would be too game changing. Now that I see how they work, I don't think any are too powerful. Thanks again for sharing! 😎👍

I use mods but I didn't know about some of these. I always like watching Midnight for ideas.
First time viewer of your wonderful content here. You earned a sub and a follow from me. I will check out your streaming as well. Thank you from somebody who has 900 hours in Valheim all Vanilla and is ready to jump into mods. I wanted to start off light and do quality of life and your video was the best one of all the six I watched. Exactly what I wanted.
+1 to paths increasing speed. Best mod. Giving paths more of a purpose is a very reasonable thing. I also think paths should show up on the map. Think of how cool that would be on a server with your buddies.

Definitely niche for when your not looking for a fight and want to make a quick getaway

A lot of these just make perfect sense. I mod lightly to stay close to vanilla as possible but with improvements. The recycle item mod should only give half of the resources back to prevent cheating the ore through portal mechanic, since in its current state you can just craft items with ore and transfer those items through a portal, then break them down.
There might be that option in the mod config files.. but id say 50% is still too much, ppl would still abuse this to teleport metals
teleporting ore is not a problem, you can teleport with the gear you make from it....
You didnt magically process said ore nor enchant it so whats the lore behind no tele ore but can tele armor,weapons hand crafted from it?
The dragon egg i can understand no tele but not ore.
@@eclipse369. theres no lore, its just how they decided to limit the portals, which is pretty fair imo, im pretty sure they would not implement portals at first and discussed a lot about it.. so we just gotta be grateful for the portal as they are.
teleporting ores/hoping ores between seeds breaks the whole game for me, half the fun is farming and sailing, if you get every gear piece by teleporting ores you will do everything in half the time, it will not be as rewarding for sure, you might spawn everything with cheat commands already to "win" the game faster if thats what you want
Mine only does 50% materials. I only use it for getting rid of old gear I no longer use or items I accidentally make 2 of.
If someone wants to use this to cheat portals... uhh, there's a mod that lets you take ore through portals so that is just a dumb thing to say.. also, they can do whatever they want.
@@James_Bee Yes, and people can hop worlds to transfer stuff, no mods necessary at all, if they don't want to deal with ship travel.
That's why modding world is so beautiful. Helping the devs with ideas and things that can be tested by community and later on easily introduced in games, of course with the rights given to the mod author. So yeah, long live modding and real good communities 😁🎈🎉

@@wrecklass I know what you mean, I have a 4K monitor / GPU nd I ended up making the font 34 to be able to see it decently. It seems like going from 20 to 26 does very little to change the size.
actual qol mods im using:
toggle running(this and the Q auto walk thats already in the game is amazing for exploring looking for the trader for example, and get some rest on the "shift finger" every now and then)
faster portal loading(theres a forced delay when using portals, i dont mind it that much but feels nice to tp faster)
portal activation animation range reduced(reduce lag and that annoying activation from like 5 meters away)
trashcan(this is a must for sure, to avoid trash items all over the place just cranking up ur fps)
shift click to put all coal/ore/barley at once(should be in the vanilla game already, no one likes a clicking simulator, Tendinitis is actually a thing)
repair all with one click(same as above)
statistics like minecraft(mobs killed, deaths, damage dealt, time played and so on, really hoping they add this in future updates)
sorting chests/inventory by alphabet or weight
slots for armor but i removed the extra 3 hotkeys slots felt that was not necessary and a bit cheaty
also using a mod to pause the game when i press esc, it makes so much sense to me cause i only play solo and i wanna be able to leave the keyboard for a minute to do things irl without having to logout and losing rested buff Everytime or risking dying on permadeath runs for example
I might add hold attack later, that be good for wood farming..

i'm about 1000 hrs into Valheim and just started playing with mods,
decided to start with the "multi-craft" and "farming grid" mods
Farming Grid is a must-have, I really hope the devs will put it in the vanilla game, with the possibility to use shift to free place the seeds

i can plant and harvest like 100 crops with 1 click each XD

Love the vid, couldnt a server owner package all the files with configuration set in the folders and then others just copy the one lot of folders?
Also the multi crop harvesting is awesome, feels cheaty if you set it above 1, but to harvest and plant at the same click helps keep everything placed better

I think, UI changes, and multicrafting and such are perfrectly fine for client mods. but running faster than other players is very odd to be client based. this means you can literally set it to 200% clientside and your peers will see you warp all over the map?
do you need valheim plus for this or you can just add one specific mod to the vanila files
hold attack needs to be a thing. hope the devil look to add something similar or we'll all need new mouses
It does effect normal client afterwards my farmed gear disappeared after i played with mod EquipmentAndQuickSlots unless you always play modded

Hold attack is great for gathering, but I didn't like it for combat. I got rid of it, personally.
Does the inventory sorting mod still works?
Recycle would be op because you can recycle old iron gear and use it for padded armor

@@OneLastMidnight Yep, works a treat. Installed it today and have already avoided several trips to sea to discard extras when playing in creative mode. Top tip.
I Love to have a better UI but the yellow bar in the bottom of the screen is so annoying and it's easy to spot a 2star animals instead of numeric levels.
I disabled better ui and it fixed a huge bug I was having just FYI. The bug occasionally made attacks against me not hit and my attacks and use things like boats and carts not work. Really annoying
Damm we had that bug on our server and we disnt knew what caused it, i hope they fix it soon cause its a nice mod
@@lucho9911 I've had the bug one more time since so it might not be fully better ui. Not sure though cause the problem only lasted a second and it was me hitting a log. Wish I knew what combination of mods it is
Well I'm glad I'm either clueless or Single Player doesn't create these issues, cause I like using Better UI with Equipment and Quick Slots and no problems, at least for me...at least 20 hrs with the combo...

Serious question about your better UI. On mine, my stamina bar is down by my health and overlaps it partially. I do not like this. Is this something you disabled or something a newer version has done? I actually didn't mind the way the stamina bar was by default.
Yes, go into the config file and turn off the new stamina/health/food bars. In the config you can turn off/on everything.

Does the recycle mod return all of the resources used to craft and then upgrade an item? Seems like a way to circumvent the 'no teleporting metal' "feature"

I really don't understand the hold attack mod. You can already hold the left mouse to attack without having to click so what does this mod do besides that?
i think the devs added this themselves recently
@@crowzreal it's been in the game since launch because that's the only way I cut down trees by just holding the left mouse to chop it. Unless I'm just not understanding what this mod does lol

This video is a little old and the game is still in early access. So... Every time it updates mods break. Best thing to do is read the mod comments and make sure it is still working for the current game version.

Cool, there were a couple I'd like to try and didn't know about. I was under the impression the recycle one, gives half your stuff back, but to me, I would still consider "too cheaty," but thanks for the point to some others! I think just locator would save me so much time it's worth the price! /jk.
How does everyone keep track of any updates without adding a mod manager, or if necessary, which mod manager?
Nexus mods website. Mod manager is called Vortex.

I was gonna be a big data engineer (I have an adv degree in Applied Mathematics and Statistics), and we started to learn about the metadata contained in Twitter tweets. We learned that there's more data in the metadata than each tweet. In fact, with machine learning algos, they were able to predict a person's health status.
Given, as a very young man (16) I worked in biochem on the grad level and didn't realize that making E. Coli resistant to all known antibiotics was probably a bioweapon, I had decided after the fact, I will NEVER be a tool for the oligarchs and military media education industrial complex ever again. I'm not gonna be just another weaponeer.
So I avoid the nexus one, I used to use Crysis or something years ago before nexus even... I didn't realize probably the same thing.
Maybe the mod manager that the *.io website suggests? Maybe at least it's a smaller big data vacuum only selling to less ppl?
That's as much of an issue for me, than the ease of use of keeping updated. For now, I've tracked every mod on nexus, and go thru the list each monday... There's no way to track the mods on the alternative mod site... so I just open my list, and go down it... nexus has a couple I use not on the .io site and visa versa...

Nice vid, but Nexus Vortex is pain to install, I used Thunderstore instead at least it doesnt make jump through hoops to properly install all compoenents so you can actually install mods and play them ... I was done in 10 mns rather than with Vortex even after an hour it still wasnt working with DLLS errors. I remove it and moved on, Hope that can help anyone with the frustration.
Thanks, I realize people have a love/hate relationship with applications, but I have never seen any issues with Vortex. I'm sure if I do a video on Thunderstore someone would post a comment on how much it is a pain to use. Each to their own, and use what you can to get these great mods installed.

Manual is the best way, takes 2 seconds to drop a file into bepinex plugins folder....
All are great but the crafting from chest. It’s kinda lazy to use and not really immersive. Don’t get me wrong it’s cool I bet a lot of people love it. But its more of an easy life mod and less a Quality of life mod
If you prefer to spam click E a million times or like opening boxes a million times then thats good for you.

What you are claiming is walk speed is not really walk speed, it is a faster walk speed, why do I say this. Well hit the button called walk and you will see that walking is much faster than using walk.
So I know you probably don't care and think I'm just being a jerk, which is both probably true :)

The trash mod would be the most helpful. Some of the others are kind of pointless. The Locator mod is more like a hack. Big time cheating there. Programing the game to ping everything in the game for you. But since the devs added a way to cheat any ways who cares I guess. Reminds me when blizzard banned 50 thousand accounts via WoW for hacking and they complained Blizzard didn't have the right. Now that was funny.
now these are 'ok' mods. but im scared that the community is what will destroy this game with all their "fix this-" demmands ooooof
Nexus mods password requirement is a joke, can't be arsed as I will never rember it.
Most websites these days require a password, its not really that much of an issue.

god forbid anyone has to CLICK their mouse OVER and OVER again. absolutely abhorrent devs to allow their players to CLICK as much as they need to do play their game. :/
It is hard on people with arthritis and other problems with their hands. Plus it shortens the life of mouse with some games. Especially for peeps who don't buy $130 gaming mice.
Maybe its because if you click to fast and modify the terrain with 9 other players on a server there is performance issue clicking fast could cause?
