Thanks so much for this video. My neighbor and I bought these for our boys 2 years ago. Immediately had to change out the spark plugs because of stalling issues. We were/are both experiencing brake issues, so I'm hopeful that your tip that wasn't in the manual will do the trick. 2 years ago I couldn't find any advice. I do fear that b/c of the way it was shipped, and with the tinkering we did, the brake pads might be worn down. Not looking forward to trying to figure out how to swap them out!

Ok so I bought this bike 2 days ago and today I was riding and the chain came off so I took the side cover off and put the chain back on tightened it and lubed the clutch for the first time (only ridden twice). When I put the side cover back on its rubbing on the clutch like the circle thing and when i roll it, it rubs, a little. Do you thing its a big deal or should it be fine or do i just take the clutch cover off?
The issue with mine is it stays full throttle. Screw on the carburetor is capped off for me and the only thing that helps is if I use a zip tie on the Governor lever but that only does so much. I’m only getting like 20% throttle when I twist it so it’s really just idle speed when I ride it

I appreciate it. Screwing the silver screw all the way out will remove the limit of the governor. Now if you want to remove the governor on the inside of the motor at involve the complete tear apart of the motor and is is not save to do. I would recommend putting a torque converter on it before you do that.

Great information! We just got the real tree Coleman 100 out of the box last night. I know nothing about small engines. Serviced it, started it, and it has a small rattle what seems to come and go around the pull rope area? Any ideas? Haven’t gave it to the grandson yet. Sometimes the rubber handle/throttle starts slipping. With the machine try pulling the trottle/handle and see if the throttle cable moves down by the engine. If it does not then the rubber handle came unglued and needs to be pulled off and glued.

My kids are 6 and 8 and they love them. For the price you can't beat it. They have laid it down and beat them up good but they still run strong so yes I would recommend them. Harbor Freight has a Predator that you can replace it with. No modification needed. You can't beat it for the money. With all that being said I do have to say that the centrifugal clutch on these suck. You have to oil them regularly and if you do not they will squeal and or shut the motor down. I plan I replacing them with better ones soon. That is my only complaint. No. I contacted Coleman and they sent me new clutches to have for back up. You can buy aftermarket but I have found that if you oil them after each ride they hold up good.
I use 10w 30 and the brand doesn't really matter because the engine is so small and doesn't have a filter. What does matter is that you change it more often.
I just got a brand new mini bike the other so I can finally do Uber eats and feed my family. I have bee failing to fix my breaks with the tools I have. I've stripped bolts and everything from trying to get it to stop rubbing and making my chain Jerk. @@GrayHairedDad got it going spark plug was really dirty took it out and used a wire brush cleaned it and put it back in and has been running, when it was nice one weekend we brought it out for my fiancé to mess with it and been fine doing that, will keep up posted on the process
@@GrayHairedDad I get the less work part. But the Coleman 200 u or what ever it’s labeled is $350 more to purchase. Which is getting close to being twice the price. The RT 100 is $400 ships free the 200 u is $699 plus $50 shipping. $400 vs $750
200U-EX has front suspension to. You will have a hard time keeping the Coleman100 front wheel on the ground with a bigger motor. Just something to think about.
Lots of things. You could add a bigger motor and add a torque converter but it would cost or you could change the back sprocket out for a smaller one to gain speed but you would lose torque/power.
I just assembled mine about a hour ago. Your video was the first one to pop up and it's easy to see why. Great tips bro 👍

Check the idle and make sure it's turned up enough.

You can take it off but I it helps keep dusk and dirt out. The cover should be slotted so you can ajust it before tighten it all the way down.
We did a carburetor swap on ours and it keeps shutting off and wanting to take off on its own any tips

I would try get the 200u personally. You will grow out of the 100 quick.

No there is not. Idk why they started welding them.

It's the clutch. This sound is normal on them. Just be sure to oil it regularly.

Is the brake cable to tight? Loosen the screws to see if you can get the rotor to break free.

I would try putting a new throttle kit and cable on it. You can also adjust the idle screw.

Make sure the switch is in the on position and connected. Sometimes down by the motor the switch cable gets disconnected and will not start.
I try to start mine and it turns on but I try to ride it then it stalls with a horn like sound any way to fix?

You can. You have to upgrade the sprocket so that it would use a bigger chain. I would recommend getting the Coleman 200U-EX it be less work.

Spinning yes.
But if it is engaging meaning taking off by itself the idle is set too high.

Check the kill switch my son's wire always comes out when it gets stuck on a branch or something. It's down by the motor make sure it is plugged in.
My rt100 starts but when you give it gas she barely moves, any ideas why?
