If I was one of the cops in this scenario I'd say, "The documents you provided me are meaningless and are not recognized by the state of Arizona or the US government anywhere in the laws of either entity. You have failed to produce your driver's licence, proof of registration and insurance despite two requests. You are now under arrest. Get out of the car. Now. If you refuse, I will also charge you with you resisting arrest."

That’s what I believe too, this should be an arrestable of fence kind of like abusing 911 because they’re wasting the time of police officers that we all pay for services other than arguing with idiots. To me once they stop paying attention and keep pushing their, denial and refusal to cooperate. They should be arrested like anyone else who doesn’t obey lawful orders by police. When you let them drive off or even drop the charges at court, you just tell them that they were right and they continue doing it.

My guess is Scottsdale P.D. didn't feel like doing all the paperwork necessary for a criminal arrest & transport to the County (intake) Jail, which is in downtown Phoenix, for a stupid 🤪 non-violent offense/offender.

I feel like his ID, Registration and Insurance came back as legit. There is no way they would have let him off like this if there was an issue elsewhere. This guy is part of the grift in my opinion. His name was in his documents, they ran it and everything came up clean. He can now post his little song and dance video and claim his Black's Law knowledge and documents saved him. He won the encounter? He wasted 35 minutes of his life and drove away with a notice to appear on a vehicular violation and a criminal charge. If that’s victory , I’d hate to see what defeat looks like.

This is a failure on the police. If he did not provide license, registration and proof of insurance then the car should've been impounded and the driver taken to jail for not providing identification.

I saw a video from somewhere they are doing trials of driverless cabs (not even a person monitoring). There was a road blockage, the cab was refusing to follow the officer's directions, and the passenger and the officer were looking at each other wondering WTF to do next. Over here, police training takes 2,5 to 3 years. A traffic stop will never go this way, he would have been arrested and on his way to a police station for identification in no time and there would be no calling a supervisor, because there is no need when you have fully trained police.
