- I wanted to get a taste of what the local transport was like in Kochi Kerala India. So I walked the streets and met a local who was able to point me in the right direction of where to get on a bus to take me to Fort Kochi Beach. On the bus I had a crazy driver as well as some fun passengers onboard that were pulling me from one side of the bus to another. The color coding of buses is introduced by the state government. You will see 3 types of private buses. Green ( city services) blue (rural area services) and red (long distance limited stops buses ). The goverment run buses are visibly different from the private ones. Hope you enjoy your stay in Gods own country (Kerala)
Mo private bus of Kerala is everywhere from Palakkad here bus runs daily
I know red is popular in our area palakkad and didn't seen green often

Hey Mac love your travel vlogs man , this is Ravi from your neighbouring state of michigan since you mentioned you are from chicago, Illinois . Keep up ur great work makes us feel homesick thru your videos. Just a few suggestions and comments if you don't mind, would love you to travel to my native state of Tamilnadu which is very beautiful like the other states in india with pride of it's own. US for us is home away from home having migrated after so many years 30 + in the 90's and naturalized.
Maybe you did travel in Tamil nadu did not see any videos. Quick hints for you to converse in local dialects
In the south you say vanakkam for hello and Nandri for thanks. Southerners dont say namaste at all very rarely which you do in the north

If you ever come to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, you maybe have the chance to hop-in a free bus service in Kuala Lumpur city centre (known as KLCC). Its a subsidized transport for the ordinary public which are free to all. A modern, cosy and air-conditioned bus. Try it.

Mac I have seen that in Kerala majority of the buses are all aluva/kakkanad/chittor temple or ferry -- fort kochi. And not only that from aluva to fort kochi buses there is always a competition
