Behold the AEM CD-7 digital dash display a valuable future addition to the mr2 and a super powerful educational tool. In this video we do some ASMR, have fun with Nagatoro and we also do some sensible stuff too. We design a completely custom CD-7 screen from scratch so that we can see just how quickly and how much the AEM digital dash can be customized. We also talk about some of its advanced features such as warnings, alarm screens, map switching on the fly, track mapping, analog signals and much much more. I also explain the role this amazing thing will play in the Project Underdog build, my turbo 4AFE Toyota MR2 mk1

if germany wasnt such a sh*t hole for tuning or even owning a car, i would love to fiddle around with them.
after seeing this, this would be one of my top things to buy.
imagine setting it up in a way where every time you red line it, a smiling hit*er comes up and your passenger be like wtf dude.
Just get a TUV certified addons
Changing your dash isn't hard at all. Also no issues for with TÜV. They just need to verify everything complies with regulations.
Tuning is also possible but quite expensive. No money, no tuning.
This was silly yet very entertaining as well as educational to watch.

Aaaaaaaaaaand of course, this happened. Just when I was thinking about how cool it would be to have a digital dash for my MR2 mk1, you LITERALLY came out with a video on it *MINDBLOWN*. Can't wait to see you install it on the MR2, might just inspire me to do the same when I see the process

It's really cool that you can mount it to the windshield. I've been considering options for a boost gauge for my car but I don't want to sacrifice an air vent. With something like this I could also display coolant and oil temps (as well as trans temp), AFR, and orientation simultaneously while keeping my stock gauge cluster because I want ALL THE DATA

Speaking of science, there has not been any update on the solid vs dampened crank pulley experiment.
Never liked these, I guess it depends on the car it's going in, but I could never change the gauge cluster out in the Grand National, I love the sweeping speedometer needle and factory gauges, they are part of the cars charm.

Looks nice, tho a bit less serious. For example, in their own page they don't mention the weight, nor the resolution, nor the display brightness... and that raises a little concern, when I can't find such relevant data anywhere

Just a question, can I modify the speedmeter value!? I have a bigger tyre/rim config under my car, and I had to print a new speedometer background for it, which is nice, but what is remained is: 1. the problem with average fuel consumption which is wrong. 2. distinction I can drive with current ave. fuel consumption and remained fuel in the tank. 3. my ave. speed. and whole lots of other issues related!
I think that is not a deal breaker, but it would be much easier to buy it if I tell my girlfriend it is also polar-bear-friendly! Because she will keeps nagging if it is not! although previously I've told her "I really doubt if it's a good idea to have some of polar bears' friends around us!" But she ignores me! I mean, What if it invites its friend for dinner!? But she only replies: "then I don't have to make dinner, and don't worry for the cleanup afterward, then you may rest in pieces for ever...
so... i use a FuelTech FT600 on my 325i e36 project, and i really want santhing customisable for it over the original display, now i think FT is a underground brand?!...

As far as I know it will interface with any 2008+ ECU

It works with OBD but you don't need it. It works with the majority of standalone ECUs on the market
