    If the vehicle has a 3 wire fuel level sensor, do you just use the (-) and signal wires? Or do you need to run a power wire to the third wire still?

      @AEMpowerTVelectronics  Před 3 lety

      This is a tricky one, we have not seen a 3 wire fuel level sensor, most are 2 wire variable resistance. Wiring and calibration will depend on the actual sensor and its output (0-5v, ohms, frequency, etc)

    How can you reduce the refresh rate of the fuel level? I have this setup and working but everytime i turn a corner, accelerate, brake etc the fuel slosh changes the reading. I have tried with input filters but can't find any combo that works. Because race car, the car is never flat or stationary so I can never get an accurate or even usable reading of the fuel level. Any suggestions? Thanks.

    I'm running an AEM Infinity 506, as well as the CD-7 display. Would I still need to utilize the CAN module?

    • @AEMpowerTVelectronics
      @AEMpowerTVelectronics  Před 3 lety

      Yes, the 6channel can sensor module (30-2226) is perfect for users with the Infinity ECU because the ecu does not have a native resistance based input for fuel level.

      @@AEMpowerTVelectronics That's what I thought. Thanks for the response!

    What if your vehicle had 2 fuel level sending units such as a 350z. And can a delay be setup so the reading is not so eradic?

    • @AEMpowerTVelectronics
      @AEMpowerTVelectronics  Před 3 lety +1

      Yes, and average or rolling average filter can be set on the input to avoid continuous oscillation.

    How do you adjust the sample rate or an average over time? I don't want the gauge to bounce every time the car bounces..

    • @AEMpowerTVelectronics
      @AEMpowerTVelectronics  Před 3 lety +2

      Use the dash design software to add a filter to the channel. There is an option in the software right under the input selection for the gauge/value. Something like a 5 second rolling average with a slow update rate would work well. (select value, select input filter, green +, select filter from drop down list)

    Does the resistor go between the two wires basically?
