    Jeff do you have trouble traveling for tuning? I just imagine they have issue with you bringing guns on board the plane. Jeff doesn't measure lambda offset and recalculate for stoich. He just flex's at the ve table until it reads 12's under boost. Jeff doesn't lift weights he just goes to the gym with a laptop until the weights lift themselves and he gets bigger. :-D sorry couldn't help myself love the channel. I never miss an upload.

    Do you need to tune the car on close loop and open loop... im confused.. I thought closed loop is for idle and light load and open loop is for wide open throttle? Tuning the car say in open loop, and adjusting the fuel table at low rpms and idle in open loop, would that change not take effect unless you tune the car on closed loop when wanting to tune the lower rpm range and cruise speeds? And after doing this method say the lambda overlay in open loop, and you adjusted the tables to where you wanted them, would you just leave it as it is? When ready to drive and use the car for daily driving.. or do you enable closed loop after your done tuning your open loop?

    My question is why did you just sweep across the columns and then add the majority number of what needed to be changed aren't you supposed to add or subsract the numbers individually? Seems a lot faster and easier but that's the way I did it

    • @mrcaffein
      @mrcaffein Před rokem

      I would think the same thing, changing them individually would give a more accurate number in each box. For example if one is 15.5:1 and you need to add 3% and the other cell a few columns over was 14.7:1 already and you add 3% now you've corrected the 15.5:1, but the other is now at 14.0:1? Seems changing each cell individually would be best, but obviously is slower. It may help to "get it in the ballpark" to just do a wide range update, but then go back and fine tune any outliers.

    • @EvansPerformanceAcademy
      @EvansPerformanceAcademy Před 5 lety +1

      Yes, it cannot feedback fast enough at high rpm. Using something like Holley EFI, Motec, FAST XFI, AEM Infinity, Link, etc they all have the ability to properly define the update rate at high rpm and provide fast enough closed loop correction. The s300 can do it, its just slow to respond and not super accurate.

    The hondata s300v3 gas been a great little unit fir many years however I don't recommend using them anymore. As if 2019 you have to be online to tune your car with hondara. This is so Father (The Government?) can drop in at anytime to see what EPA laws you are breaking. Stay away from Hondata. Also ar the endvif the day you still stuck using 25 year-m old obd1 technology. This is why Hondata isn't very reliable. There are far better choices on today's market. I suggest you take a long hard look at Fueltec.

    "Oh ya k24z7 has no VTEC on exhaust cam k20a better" 🎉😂 one word .... Higher comp also TORQUE! K20A GOT TO REV To 6k before it can ever catch a mini van,both taking of at the light. Sounds nice a 8-8500 but it's inferior. BUT you wanna be the boss hog you take K20a head. No a2. JDM k20a. Same thing a pure K24a JDM get out pump an all the goodies now that's a high rev pinnacle of Honda... On the streets watching it take off YOU KNOW that thing is breathing an screaming, you can here it if your a grease monkey. No different than the old lady at the top of the rev range. Life is great😂😂😂🎉

    such a scam...next time mention if you run an engine lean you increase nox emissions. in the balpark of 16-1 afr target on pump gas. that is why they don't tune them to do this. 80s cars do what is called lean cruiz at the 16-1 afr
