Had the experience of buying an '08 brand new in '08 and now own my mom's 2006 that was gifted to me when my parents retired and went with a Frontier. The Xterra is THE BEST vehicle I have ever owned. My '06 is at 207k now had the timing chain/guides done at 187k. I'm going to try to push her to 400k. Watch out for the crank and cam sensors man. When the crank sensor starts to fail you will shut off with no warning and no check engine light. Wait a few and it will start back up if it hasn't totally failed. Mostly happens in summer from added heat. You want to replace both cam and crank sensor at one time. Mine shut off on the interstate 75mph and another time pulling out from a stop sign. Super sketchy but just be aware of these sensors. Mine failed at about 190k. Hitachi makes the sensors for Nissan and they're cheaper than the dealer yet still OEM. Stay away from aftermarkets the X doesn't like them!
I had that issue last summer! Definitely freaked me out. But she’s been good since then
Nearly 200k on mine and running great! I did replace all timing components and always keep all fluids fresh.
mines at 228000 and timing chain had to be done but love it
Xterras RULE!
That looks nice, and the expedition 1 bumper is gorgeous , i have had mine for about almost 2 ish years and still great
Thanks man! Yeah really an loving the bumper. Glad to hear it’s held up for you! 👌🏽
nice build, just got a 2011 xterra pro 4x can't wait to start moding, good video bro
Thanks man! Welcome to the ❌ family
Can't wait to see your finished product. I'm trying to get ideas for my girl's. She wants to build it up.
Thanks for the comment! ill definitely be making install videos for all of the new stuff for the X. so make sure to come back and check it out!
I love these Xterra's and just learned that you can put a Titan V8 6-Speed it. My Isuzu Trooper is getting alittle old and I love NISSAN, these MODS fit the body perfect you got a good eye for the build. The Xterra is a beauty and beast.
Yeah the v8 swap is a popular mod to get that extra power
@@conheck_offroad I literally discovered this today when watching a video where someone put this VK56 in an S13... Insane right... Now I found a company in Australia that developed a supercharger seems legit HARROP. Its such a reliable platform to build on keep it up
For wheel spacers look up spidertrax and i have white knuckle offroad rock sliders. Love them
Mall_Crawling_X yeah I’ve heard about spidertrax. I got an order of them on the way. But they’re back ordered. I’ll check out the white knuckle sliders. Thanks!
Looking forward to seeing the Expedition One rack installed.
Hopefully here in the near future! Got the expedition one bumper on the way and some white knuckle sliders too
I just put on the aj's offroad super square rock sliders. Install was not bad and build quality was excellent
Bad ass my dude! Just bought mine! Can’t wait to take my son out 4x4’n
Awesome! Welcome to the❌ family
Nice bro. I’m thinking about that bumper too.
Once I get it, I will be doing an install video. Should hopefully be here this week 🤙🏽
I like how you don't know the type of tires meanwhile there's big letters on the side lol
FakeNews the letters on the side is not the brand of tire in this case. They were recommended to me by the company I ordered the wheels from. It was a name I didn’t recognize. But half the price of bf Goodrich
Should of took off the jack from the rack would have improved the content a bit in my opinion, I have a 2002 Nissan Xterra definitely subscribing to see how your car changes, I am putting spacers on mine as well should record everything you do to it man more content, more chance of picking up more viewers just like i did good luck to you brother 👌
Anthony Garcia hey thanks man. Will definitely be making install videos and how to videos with all the updates that are coming. Thanks for the feedback 🤙🏽
Nice ride 👍
Thank you! 😎
How did you manage to get the offroading gorilla lightbar mounts? And did you have to do any drilling in the installation
I bought them from off-road gorilla. They were about $75 I think. No drilling required. Uses the stock holes in the roof rack
I’m selling mine if you’re interested
Man, your truck has come a long way since this video.....I'm just trying to get mine to this level lol
It sure has. Never thought it would get to this point, but here we are.
You will, just takes time 🤙🏽
@@conheck_offroad I literaly jst bought new wheels and tires for mine and bought the wheels from a guy who changed his out and I bought his old ones, but I had to show him your Rig on IG and he's following you now...We were wondering if you changed your roof rack from the Expedition One Mule to the Bravo? The rack looks like the Bravo, but I remember watching your video installing the Expedition One
I did switch to the bravo. Just a bit more utilitarian. And a bigger platform. So it suited my needs a bit better
@@conheck_offroad that’s really good to know because it’s half the price of the Expedition One. Might be a good short CZcams video explaining why you switched!
Not a bad idea. Good suggestion!
Omg your handsome!!! Take me for a ride in the xterra
Was that rear shock on upside down? Good video!!
not sure lol.. ill check on that. thanks for the comment!
Do your OME leaf springs make noise? I have the full OME suspension kit and my leafs make noise
Not that I have noticed. Had some noise coming from the front suspension. So I’m putting all new bearings and joints in there. But haven’t noticed anything from the rear tho
@@conheck_offroad good to hear
I see you kept the "fat" front bumper. My Escape has one. I like it.
Adeline Nicholas I’ve got a steel one coming in a month or so. But the fat bumper has served me well haha 🤙🏽

Did you have to trim your xterra for the 33inch tires?
No I didn’t. But I also put on a 3” lift. Once I put spacers on, then I needed to trim the front a bit.
I hope to get one as first car way cheaper than 4 runner
i have a buddy with a 4runner and he likes his and all but their lift gate and cargo space isnt ideal he says. he liked the way the xterra opening was designed. personally i like xterras more anyway. and the cheaper price tag is a nice additon :)
Do you have problems with the police not being able to see your rear license plate?
Nope. Never had a problem with it
What is the black U shaped plastic that mounts on the front above the bumper in the middle. You have yours blacked out. I need a replacement.
That would be the grill. You can probably find a replacement with a simple google search
@@conheck_offroad Oh OK, cool. Thanks man!
No problem! Happy to help ☺️
Where do you buy the roof basket ?
It’s a Yakima roof basket
If I’m not mistaken those are 17in. wheels not 16in. (Says on the side of tire)
Yeah rims are 17x9
I like the light bar. It's less dorky looking than the OEM lighting.
I like the OEM lights. They work fine and most people who buy aftermarket lights spend a lot of money and hardly ever use them
Nice truck!
MegaChuy50 thanks man! 🤙🏽
What’s your fuel mileage?
That is a fantastic question. Since posting this video, I’ve added skids, sliders, front bumper and roof rack. On a full tank I get about 275 miles without the rtt. With the tent I get about 250. Keep in mind this is with a full aftermarket exhaust. Hope this helps!
Bro what do you do: like your job
I am a pilot
Looking at an 2012 Xterra S tomorrow, no more cars man
Well let me be the first one to welcome you to the ❌ family!
They're Achilles..its right there on the sidewall.
Looks like you need to delete the rear sway bar:)
I just did that a few weeks ago 🤙🏽
Never have heard of Achilles tires
I love them so far. Been great off road. A little loud on the road. Seem to perform just as good as bfg but at a fraction of the price. Definitely recommend
I wouldnt think that wheel spacers make you feel more stable and less top heavy. It might help you sit in the ruts better though, I think its the semis that mainly form the ruts on the free way so narrow cars only dip two tires into a rut at a time.
Physics says if the wheels are farther lateral, you are more stable
🌺🌺🌺
Those are 17inch wheels, not 16. It says it on the tire
Nice catch
You did a lift and went nuclear on your headlights. Don't be "that guy". Do a lamp angle adjustment.
I'd have to park my Xterra outside if I put the basket on it.
went to watch. Tired of the ads at the beginning. Skipped video and went to comments instead.
I don’t put the ads there. That is entirely up to CZcams.
@@conheck_offroad never meant to indicate you did it. Just letting you know my experience.
2011? Bruh I got a 2004
Right im sittin here with a 05
I will put my 2007 against your crappy 2011. It is stock with 230,000 plus miles. Stock, I’m the only owner, bought it new in 2007.
Make sure you do the bypass of the transmission fluid thru the radiator!! czcams.com/video/KOuf6kUPTHc/video.html
Get a bumper
Andrew Keeton I have one coming. Another 4-6 weeks they said for production
Really nice Pro-4X. It's a shame that it's wasted on east coast terrain 😞
