Mario games always do good for those who like them.
In terms of Monster Hunter I rather play Stories 2. It actually feels like a game worth my time because I don't like playing games without an interesting story.
Except for SMT 5 that I didn't finish yet, I really appreciated Project Zero/Fatal Frame Maiden of black Water. Sure, it's a remaster and not a new game but it's finally a good horror game. (and it is available physical from asia so it can be placed under the Christmas tree)
