    I'd love to add two information since this video is a bit outdated:
    1. Instead of Wyoming, form your LLC in New Mexico instead. No annual reports, fees or taxes and you are 100% anonymous.
    2. A new banking player is Mercury Bank. You get all the features of a traditional US bank, minus the fees.

    Myles if you're selling in the USA - you will still need a special SSN or ITIN. If you incorporate in an accepted country on the amazon list - sure you can use your native banks and not worry about U.S. compliance, but the customer pays for heavy shipping charges and waits for the order to arrive (dropping your sales) - since your storage and fulfillment happens there. If you incorporate in the USA - you need an SSN and EIN number for the gov to track sales, corporate and income taxes. Getting a virtual, border-less account is easier to setup - but once the funds are transferred to your local account makes you liable to pay your local taxes. Most countries have a double tax treaty benefit. Hence it is always best to connect with an international tax expert or C.P.A. who can plan to avoid blunders. This is a real challenge and has to be treated with detail.

    Hi Myles. You are suggesting to open a Wyoming LLC as a non-us citizen, but non-U.S. owners of Wyoming LLCs are taxed initially on any US-sourced income at a rate of 30%. So do you pay 30% tax for doing business as a Wyoming LLC?

    • @sonny8085
      @sonny8085 Před 8 měsíci

      A US LLC will not owe tax on income sourced outside of the US. This is why the platform is tax efficient for foreigners, who are doing business in another part of the World.
      Foreigners are mostly setting them up in order to access the banking system.
      The tax liability falls on the shoulders of the individual member who is receiving the distributions. If they live in the UAE, they pay UAE income tax. If they live in the UK, they pay UK income tax.
      The "30%" figure you are talking about, I believe refers to WHT (witholding tax), which is paid by a foreigner on capital gains of US stocks etc., not earned income. This figure is lowered to 15% if your country has a DTA with the US, but still only applies to capital gains.

    Dear myles, I posted below earlier but could not get a response from you. trying my chance again. Appreciate if you can get back.
    As a non-US citizen & non-US resident, after watching your video, I contacted wyoming agents.
    They mentioned that they can create an LLC but they do NOT provide an "operational address" (they say that they use their registered agent address as our business address for state record, and that address cannot be used by us for general business purposes. And they say that if we need an operational address we have to get their Virtual Office service).
    From what I understand so far:1. if we create an LLC, we need to provide the address of the LLC for the banks to be able to open a bank account 2. if we are to register to amazon with that LLC, we will need the address of that LLC (I read that they even ask a utility bill of that LLC).
    So,
    Question 1: did you also get virtual office service from them?
    Question 2: and if yes, without submitting any utility bill for that LLC (because it is not a physical company where there is a billed utility), how did you manage to register to amazon with your LLC?

    • @MylesDunphy
      @MylesDunphy  Před 5 lety

      tough one, not sure on either account as i dont use my LLC for Amazon and I dont have a virtual office with them. Re utility bill it's normally in the same category as bank statement, since I have never had a utility bill in my life I always have to submit bank statements. In this case I would use my BoA statement.

      @@MylesDunphy hi myles, thanks for the response. but what do you use for your amazon account then? I mean, I understand you are a non-US resident and Non-US citizen. so do you sell as an individual on amazon? or how do you do that? can you please let me&us know? Your quick response is appreciated (ps: regarding utility bill, it is mentioned by so many people that amazon requires a utility bill when you register with a company or LLC.)

      @@NexusAccess hi tobias, actually I am searching and trying to understand. but unfortunately I do not have a certain answer (no one has ever explained this in a clear way). you can see myles' response below. Transferwise Borderless account is definitely not the same as a US bank account. A friend of mine who has the US bank account asked his bank a way to send me money from his account via ACH routing. TW insists it works but the US bank can not offer this option - only checks or Wire transfers(an expensive fee) or Zelle, which works for the owner of the US bank accounts only. Sure the friend of mine can open TW account and send me money this way but not everyone wants to open TW account. Concluding Transferwise account is not the same as a US bank account.

    Nice video! I would like to ask 2 questions, one related to the bank account and another one related to taxes (maybe a bit out of topic :) My country is on Amazon's list of available countries and my credit card is American Express. Is it good to go?According to the portuguese tax office, I'm allowed to sell as an individual and pay the income tax here too. As long as I don't have a physical headquarter in the US (or somebody doing business there for me), the only tax I must pay in the US is the sales tax, which depends on the warehouse and buyer location (state). My question is: do you manage the sales tax by yourself, or do you hire someone in the US to do it, or does Amazon also participate in sales tax management? Thanks in advance!

      Honestly if you're a non-US seller just getting started - kick the sales tax problem down the road for now and spend that energy worrying about launching profitable products (that is my completely non-professional advice)

      sales tax is in a state of flux and it's unclear where exactly we sit, especially as foreign sellers. unlike something like EU VAT (which you definitely cannot just deal with in the future). and in either case you are small fry so you're way down on anyone's priority list

    When you signed up for the personal US account, did you use a US address or did you use your overseas address?

    So what would be the best place in USA to get this done relatively fast, if having set-up the company already previously? There are no online ways with the company today?
    And my last question, how much credit would they initially offer you normally? Guess it could add-up hard after a year of good reputation with 20-30K or up?

    Great value as always! You've mentioned about either registering a company in my home country or an LLC in the US. I personally don't live in the US but want to register my company in the US rather than my home country. I believe you have done the same from Australia. What are some implications of that? Could you please let me know. Thanks a lot again for the great content.

      @MH GAMING that one is not the issue. The issue is having a credit card. Amazon wants you to have a credit card for charges and fees, (not receiving funds) you cannot just register your local bank for that if you’re doing AMZ Selling in the U.S. That’s why there are videos like these that help how to get U.S Bank Acct.

I was wondering what is your feeling about wyomingagents ? After 6 months, still happy with them ? No hidden fees ? No agressive sell ups ? Thx mate !
