Frontier Pursuits brought a whole new dimension to Red Dead Online's gameplay by introducing Roles, a new concept that provides players with a way to engage in roleplay in Red Dead Redemption 2. Collectors are explorers who search for valuable items and natural treasures, amassing collections that can be sold for profit. Seek out the mysterious travelling saleswoman Madam Nazar to acquire the Collector’s Bag and get started on the path of the Collector. With Madam Nazar's help, you will be able to explore the world finding valuable treasures, whether they’re discarded Tarot cards in abandoned camps, buried treasures unearthed with your trusty shovel, hidden family heirlooms and more. To get started as a Collector the player must obtain the Collector's Bag. The standard cost is 15 Gold Bars, while players who had collected all 54 Playing Cards in GTA Online would get the Collector's Bag for free until October 16, 2019.
#RedDeadRedemption2 is a 2018 action-adventure game developed and published by #RockstarGames. The game is the third entry in the Red Dead series and is a prequel to the 2010 game Red Dead Redemption. The story is set in 1899 in a fictionalized representation of the Western, Midwestern, and Southern United States and follows outlaw Arthur Morgan, a member of the Van der Linde gang. Arthur must deal with the decline of the Wild West whilst attempting to survive against government forces, rival gangs, and other adversaries. The story also follows fellow gang member John Marston, the protagonist of Red Dead Redemption.
The game is presented through both first and third-person perspectives, and the player may freely roam in its interactive open world. Gameplay elements include shootouts, heists, hunting, horseback riding, interacting with non-player characters, and maintaining the character's honor rating through moral choices and deeds. A bounty system similar to the "wanted" system from the Grand Theft Auto franchise governs the response of law enforcement and bounty hunters to crimes committed by the player.

Actually depending on the cicle there are about 2 or 3 or maybe 4 not for sure, for the family heirlooms that actually do require the shovel and the metal detector. But when you go over to get it with the metal detector it will always be the one it says is there it just requires the metal detector and the shovel.
do fixed sets and if there are collectibles close then just pick ‘em up u might aswell

Don't forget, if you have the naturalist role rank 5 you can get the portable wilderness campfire for 750 bucks, and pay 1280 to be able to fast travel from anywhere on the map with it. It's a steep price at first, but being able to fast travel from anywhere really speeds up the collector grind.

Every day I do the flowers, eggs, and alcohol bottles. It takes me between 1 and 2 hours, and i walk away with over a thousand dollars.
Thats one of, if not the fastest money gain rates in the game.

@@wackjumpr its Decent but if you just look up a map and collect tarot cards you'll get over a thousand easier with no tools like metal detector required
@@wackjumpr yeah as far as easy grind money making, collector is still best. You can also do the etta doyle legendary bounty glitch for some easy gold as well, (the enemies don't attack you in the glitch making it very easy to do the mission and get full payout). I am also about to get the naturalist role for the portable wilderness camp. The portable wilderness camp is 750 bucks, and then you can pay 1280 to add the ability to fast travel with it. but with that, you make collecting so much easier. being able to fast travel from anywhere really speeds up the collecting process.
I got from 1 to 15 collector today doing a run for cards, alcohol, eggs and heirlooms. Made like 2000$ too!
Yeah, its the best money gain and xp gain.
But it takes sooo long and it’s absolutely boring

@@urguyrai2172 this was during double money, one full run with eggs probably took me about 2:30-3:00 hours. I would advise against collecting eggs cause a lot of them are glitched to this day. Up to you though. I do cards, heirlooms and alcohol in about 2 hours

Some of the family heirlooms do require a metal detector to find but the collector map makes it easy

For family heirlooms you need metaldetector always 2 of the 15 items are in the ground

I had was grabbing coins so I could use a metal detector for a daily challenge and on my 3rd coin I got was the 1800 gold quarter first time ever going for coins too
The random metal detector and dig spots are great for finding rare valuables
Yeah, if you want to do lost jewelry or coins, you have to do the random spots.
I recently completed 2 sets of the tarot cards, but just 2-3 weeks ago, there was a promotion to get double payout for completed sets, and that makes me holding off to submit the completed sets now. Hope the double payout comes around again.
Bird eggs is great when the ones in the tree actually fall. The egret egg wouldn’t come out of the tree for me today.
That is the only issue with bird eggs. Sometimes the nest doesnt fall, which is incredibly aggravating.
Just load in to a new server, it always fixes this issue for me
i had a hawk egg once that dropped right next to the tree trunk so i couldn't get close enough to it to pick it up i tried crouching & changing to 1st person view but nothing worked
eventually i just gave up and went to another site
@@Dare_To_Game i heard that if the egg doesn't drop you can shoot it with a small game arrow and it will work but i don't have the pamphlet to check it out
Trading with Cripps, Moonshine runs & collecting all over the map in unison is how I make money; once you get your rhythm going it works out quite well.
I been playing for 1 year and some change..I have 89 items and only made 5 sets I tend to run Into copays and items that belong to a set what am I doing wrong do I keep buying maps and clearing them until I make set?
me and a friend was excited to try out the shovel and the metal detector to find the earring jewerly I think and the coins but then we started noticing that we're getting duplicates and got pretty bummed out actually. that's just so stupid, u need to buy a detector and shovel but the sets are total garbage?

The coins aren’t completely random but 5 have a 12% 5 have a 6% and 5 have a 2% chance
When i last dit all tarot cards it took me 4 hours. And when i collect the last one. 1 was not checked. I looked on the map for it. And when i came on the spot its was gone. So i must waith a day to collect it again and it was not checked again.
I had to collect this same card 4 times. And then it gets checked. It took me around + 10 hours.
Hearlooms require a metal detector. Just a smal correction. 10x for the great video. Cheers...

Call me weird, but I don`t do the collector role for cash. But rather, I do the collector dailies in combination with Bounty Hunter, Moonshiner, and Naturalist dailies. Basically in it for the gold now. XD
That’s what I do… and only sell the collectables when a new pass comes out. Granted I’m almost Rank 500 and don’t need cash.
@@playo4203 Considerably lower in rank (135, as of this post), but playing it like a higher rank. The dailies make things more interesting, which is why I end up buying the items that most others recommend against getting (like the Legendary Pheremones, the Metal Detector, etc.). So.... basically a poor newb, but loving it. ^.^
@@gNetkamiko honestly the metal detector is good buy. Cause here is how you would use it. While you riding to a point any point you’ll ride with the metal detector and when you feel a vibration you’ll stop and locate the item or look at the collectors map and see exactly where it is. that’s how over time you’ll collect them all and sell them. As for the other items that you’ll buy because of the lack of content you’ll end up been able to afford it eventually. It took me about a month of grinding to lvl all the ability cards even the ones that I don’t even use. Yes granted at the beginning of the collectors role it was only 3 cycles and every CZcamsr had collectible location videos.
Most days, where i don't have time for a long collector session, i also just do whichever daily collectibles they have for the challenges. But, whenever i can, i target cards or flowers or alcohol bottles that i need for sets.

I wish I had seen this video earlier. I got the collector role about a month ago, and have been wasting my time going after coins and jewelry because the reward is the highest.

And one thing. Some of the flowers spawn at night around 10:00 PM - 5:00 AM (in game time)
2 of them one in new austin n the other near the Largas swamp. The ones at New austin r a bit tricky to get, if u don't have atleast a fast horse 7 mins to get 3 in each region.
They all kinda suck as they don't pay much

I don't own the shovel or the metal detector so I personally go with the pentacle tarot cards they pay like 188 or 192 dollars and it takes me about 1 and a half hours (I don't collect during the night because of wolves)

It's all fun and games until the metal detector mysteriously stops working
TL;DR: collector nerf sucks. Introducing random collectibles spawn killed most of the fun.
In my opinion the best to collect are:
tarot card set
Family heirlooms
Bird eggs
antique alcohol bottles
Why not the american wild flowers is because, they are not always spawned
the ones that’s “don’t spawn” are the ones that only spawn 10 p.m. through 5 a.m.

I disagree with you on the Jewelry collections. You can use the Collectors map which lists the locations of some of them. After a week, you should have most of all sets. Just pick the different listed items on each day as you travel, while ignoring the randoms.
Thats true, but that still makes it considerably slower than doing the fixed sets.
At my rank I don't collect for cash. I collect for xp. People who go with me go up 10-15 ranks by picking items up. I go 1-2 ranks. This guy kind of knows what he's talking about. Kinda.
Also target the random buried items. The 1800 gold coin often hides in them.
I do it for both. What i have been doing recently is group collecting with my posse, which is lower level players with very little money mostly. So, we go around in a group of four or five, and clear out several collections in an hour or two, just following the leader.

Do the random item dig sites still follow the logic of giving you an item that you haven’t maxed out yet?
Like if you have 10 of a particular item in a collection it will give you an item you don’t have the max amount of?
good question , but no , you can find items you're already maxed out on , and even if you do all the random locations you're not guaranteed to get an item you don't have any of .

I've been assiduously collecting coins and jewelry whole day, only to see that they're almost all random, and if I have 9 out of 10, and I dig the last 10th spot, it is NOT guaranteed that it will be the missing piece: it's a 1 in a 10 chance. So in a nutshell, I completely agree with this video.

Solid grind. Decent money gain, but not too much time to take out of the day.
The random items are ranked. The rear ones you can get easy on the salvage free roam event. The fastest way to make money is just collecting Pentacles Cards, Swords Cards and Family hairlooms every day. This guy is not mentioning that some of the flowers you can only pick at night and if you only have a few hours to collect stuff and doing dailies flowers are kind of a waste of time IMO. Also you don’t have to sell the items every day I usually sell the items when a Pass comes out to rank it up quick. Yes granted I don’t need money in the game but it’s whatever

Yea I don't really go for the flowers anymore since two you can get only at night which never made sense to me they're flowers where tf are they gonna go lol and there's two locations where one of the night flowers is in a spot where it's literally impossible to get to. I got bored of doing that collection and the pay for the set isn't worth much at least to me. I don't sell everyday too I actually just keep collecting even the ones that are random til a pass comes out.
I always just do the night flowers on my first night. That way i keep a decent stock of them a lot of the time, and i can focus on other stuff the rest of the time. I do usually save up a bunch of sets to sell when an outlaw pass is coming out. RIght now, i've got over a dozen saved up for quickdraw pass 3.
@@Dare_To_Game I always lvl up the pass in like 3 seconds it get my dopamine lvls high and it quickly crashes once I realize it’s done then 3 more weeks to the next one 😂
I like collecting the the flowers cause you can make special moonshine recipe same with the alcohol. Just creek plum and the rum and abstine
Be warned, the Collector role for PC doesn’t support flowers, anything that requires a metal dectector, or eggs. Consoles always work, I have the PS 4.
Controller would vibrate when you're near a collectible,how does it work on pc though?
If you use a controller on PC, it still vibrates, or, you can just watch the flashing and listen to the ticking sound it makes. I use the metal detector all the time on PC. Also, in what way does it not support eggs or flowers? I do them almost every day on PC?
@@Dare_To_Game I use keyboard and mouse on PC and anything that requires a shovel or a metal dectector just doesn’t show up. It’s worked a month or so ago for me but stopped with Blood money. I will try using an Xbox controller and see if that changes anything but it’s been reported in the RDR2 org community as being buggy or missing for weeks.
Tried it with my Xbox controller and it didn’t change anything for me. Still can’t open collector maps, cannot pick flowers, can’t collect any shovel or metal dectector collectibles. These things are all possible on my ps4.
@@trentgt one of my posse members sometimes has problems with collectables requiring the shovel , i will see the plume and hear the tinkling sound and be able to dig up the item , he will get no plume , no sound , no dig command . doesn't matter if he enters the area before or after me . we're both on PC .

Harriet is part of the naturalist update, madam Nezar is the collector her spot is randomized but you can find her on the john ropke map🙂👍

I am not aware of this glitch, but if you can do that, i imagine it would greatly speed up the process.
@@Dare_To_Game that’s easy if you’re on PC go to your rdr2 files folder and delete all cloud files and you can farm same item over and over again

How do you know what day it is on the rotation of the collectibles
Just use the map. It updates its self and you'll always be on the right day.

The map i have linked updates daily, so you don't have to worry about trying to track the rotation. Thats only important to recognize if you do what i do, and check a few regular spots in most of the towns when you are passing through.
I have a question. Why am I getting the same rings/necklaces etc a couple of times? Im getting the same ring or bracelet twice or thrice. Why is that?
Because of the weighted RNG. Certain items are much more common than others, despite being "random" Its why despite the fact that i've collected hundreds of coins, i haven't ever collected an 1800 Gold Quarter.

I got 63 or 64 collections and I got 52000 rd bucks I only use my collection for xp on quick draw clubs or other things that need XP
