  • The video shows the full campaign of the game. The game has been completed several times, the shortest routes between points of interest (in-game events, noteworthy buildings and incident sites) have been selected. Most combos, finishers, and weapons are shown. Sorry for leaving a lot of fight scenes, this is one of my first videos. I did not fully realize the value and uselessness of these shots.

      Having played as a Space Marine Librarian in 40K Kill Team, I dispute that. Especially when Space Marine armor is practically bastard titanium: titanium in Star Wars was built for lightweight space fighters like TIE fighters; they can't stand up to sustained blaster fire, let alone lightsabers or telekinetic crushing. And ceramite is bastard titanium; as in, not even full titanium. Titanium mixed with ceramics. What's top stop some lout with a blaster cannon to puncture holes in that armor or kill a Space Marine? What's to stop a Jedi or a Sith from crushing a Space Marine's organs like jelly? Nothing.
      Also, Librarians aren't that common among Space Marines, and Space Marines themselves are like, 1 in 10,000 when it comes to Imperium forces numbers.

    • @banneduser5187
      @banneduser5187 Před 5 lety +23

      Having played a librarian in kill team no less, is like me saying ive seen the empire in the star wars movies. If a jedi or sith was actually allowed time to crush a space marines organs theyhave multiple redundacies including bionic lungs. But for arguments sake, lets say a cocky space marine allows it, just to see what happens. As soon as the attack stops even if the space marines organs are totally crushed he heals almost instantly, missing an arm? no problem. Legs and hips blown off? no problem. arms, legs and most of torso and some of the head missing? no problem. Quality over quantity Vader999

They could do the training time kind of like in leonidas (from 300) backstory as king. You wouldnt need the all that information about all the races and stories of the whole universe to understand the story of that one dude.
      But I would prefer a series much more. Star gate for example had 10 seasons with several spinnoffs even 18 seasons in total. That would be enough to tell a lot. I would even be happy with a animated series or even a comic.

    This is still my favorite game after all these years. It has aged like fine wine. The only shitty parts is how Leandros was quick to speculate that Titus is an agent of chaos, knowing damn well he too can also resist the warp. The final stab in the back is even after assisting the guardsmen, stopping the ork warboss, and eliminating a chaos lord, the imperial high command holds him still as the bad guy. Sadly, I hope Titus makes an appearance later on as part of a secret group that is still fighting the enemy. He deserved as much as the next Capt does.

      @munky342 Před 6 lety +35

      I can't remember everything that was said about the 2 games that were meant to come after this one, but from what I can remember Titus creates an entirely new Chapter of Space Marines to fight Chaos.
      The information is out there somewhere. And it's entirely possible that I'm wrong about that.

    • @bubbleffs
      @bubbleffs Před 6 lety +72

      Leandros was an idiot for judging Titus as he did after seeing him saving the planet, but he was essentially right in reporting him. The inquisitor doesn't know who's telling the truth. The threat of letting a corrupted space marine captain go without investigation is far too large. Double so for a captain of such a large and important chapter as the Ultramarines. If there is any doubt, Inquisition just has to take action. We know Titus from his own perspective, so we know that he doesn't INTEND to let himself be corrupted, but Chaos can corrupt even the most loyal people. So his resistance to the Warp must be viewed as very suspicious.

    having the Marines be in awe and humbled by Guard's bravery and tenacity in the face of overwhelming odds and nigh certain death was such an excellent writing choice. i mean on one hand it's the Ultramarines, out of all the chapters they are probably the closest genetically to average humans since they have relatively pure gene-seed compared to the other chapters, & also own their mini empire of Ultramar, so it makes sense they'd empathize with the Guard. on the other hand imagine if they had picked like the Iron Hands or Blood Angels for the game--the former being so disconnected from their original humanity due to all the cybernetics and becoming cold-blooded cyborgs, and the latter might mistake you for Horus and want to rip your head you if the gene-seed acts up. ultramarines are the imperial posterboys precisely because they bear the most resemblance to "pure" humans.

    Oh, how I love this game...gets a little bit repetitive and some levels just make no sense (like the inquisitors base: Before we go directly from A to B we first have to fight our way to C to shut down the defense-towers to make it safer to get to B. Once there the defenses between C and B can't be shut down, so why did we do it again?...) but the fighting was just epic. Loved when he took the shield of the orc to smash in his face...
    But I always missed the option to customize the character a little bit (choosing the chapter [as it wasn't mentioned that often anyways during the game that we are ultramarines...], choosing to wear a variety of helmets and features (bionics), some different details on the armor...maybe even a level playing as a terminator as we also used a jump-pack in some...on the other hand, that would have to be well placed in the story...)
    And besides, as the trilogy didn't happen, I think it would have been a most epic ending, if the hero actually dies near to the end to be resurrected as a Dreadnought to then find the demon and bury his fists in his bloody face...

      Steptoe Edwall Probably so you would recognise him better and see him as some human being in the game and promotional pictures. Most cases the only way normal people see Astartes in Real Life is a massive behemoth butchering his way through without a shred of humanity.

      real reason is so you can recognize the character. lore reason is some marines view it as an honor thing but if your following the books most marines do wear a helmet with the exception of some chapters like the space wolves who have such a great sense of smell it offsets the use of a helmet and most of that chapters members don't bother with them.

      Sorry misinformed nerds answered you. Captains are usually elite warriors. You will normally see them with no helmet. Part of the reason is to give them a face, to remind people they are human. It shows how bad ass they are but shows status of rank. They get to see and smell the battle. Its a big deal for them. Some also get use of an Iron halo or rosaris which is a force field that protects them from ranged attacks. Space wolves will also fight without helmets. They have a different deal and have more access to geneseed and are allowed to keep larger numbers than other chapters.

    Imagine getting a series of Primarch games, with each game focusing on a specific one and closely following the lore.
    Take Vulkan as an example. The game begins as you crawl out of your capsule as s baby. Then a bit later you take on the Dark Elves using those forge hammers. Then the Emperor arrives and you gotta do all those challenges that end with drake hunt.
    Then you are reunited with your legion.
    Sounds pretty good, right?

    It just cracks me up every time that the first recommended course of action by some bloke is Exterminatus, especially after having been told that the strategic value of Graia is absolute.

    It's nice to see that Titus at least has respect for the Imperial Guard, it's far too common to see them disregarded as inferior meat shields.

      Depends on the chapter. The smurfs are quiet fond of the guard for the most part, just like the Space Wolves, Salamanders, etc.
      Other chapters like the Black Templars are somewhat distant to the guard and see them as inferior, but brave.
      And then there's the Dark Angels...

    Despite it's gameplay being clunky, it was still fun to play and satisfying to pull off the finishing moves. Most of all, this was pure WH40k throughout.
