- This video is a compilation of 350 hours of recorded gameplay and in-game cutscenes. The video reordered dialogues and in-game events to create a fluid narrative, without distractions from side missions and jumping to different storylines.
P.s. Rendering errors occurred during video processing, so there is an offset of some video tracks by 0.34-0.5 seconds. Sorry, I couldn't fix it, because I work in Adobe Premier Pro. It turned out only to reduce temporary gaps to a minimum. - Hry

@@KrimzonFlygon1 Well Spire is the most pragmatic and level headed imperial I've seen in 40k. Sure he had to kill a bullheaded inquisitior and allied with the Eldar and Necrons but when there are bigger problems to think about you got to deal with the lesser devil.
Spire really does have the patience of a saint to deal so cordially with Darkhammer.

The Inquisition at large has been stonewalling Guilliman since his ascension and the High Lords of Terra themselves conspired to launch a coup against him after threatening their power.
Its not that far-fetched, especially for hardline Puritan Inquisitors.

gotta say I love how Spire is portrayed as incredibly diplomatic while surrounded by jerks, from an inquisitor who literally introduces himself just being like "I know you are a traitor" and casually proceeds to give him orders, to the Iron Hands who are like "you should be honored to received the privilege of supporting us in combat". And he just remains diplomatic and plays the game each one in the conversations.
In times such as these, keeping your head and mind calm is important
and some guys like guilaman and solari respect and like the bloke
I'm sure he must have polished up these diplomacy skills a lot over the course of the first game. Lots of politicking with not only the inquisition but the space marines, mechanicus and of course fellow admirals too.
27:15 the spire didn’t get the intel that drang was a spy. And the whole admin team was compromised to the core.
He’s also from 800 years in the past, so I’d like to imagine the Imperium was more…amenable back then, at least to their allies, and now he has to deal with how bad things have gotten in his absence.

What fleet? I didn't know you counted entire compartments of your own ship that got blown off as other vessels.
She only did her duty even if she recognizes her pride and need to be over zealous. Sure, she sees and knows her failure but dare not say it, knowing it is a show of weakness. For now, she barely gets a pass.

Her actions are even more stupid since the capacities of Abbadon's ship should be basic knowledge in the Imperial Navy, so she should have either A) stay close to the pilons to protect then from possible orbital bombarment or B) wait for reinforcements before engaging Abbadon instead of charging in and losing her entire battlegroup present there.
I mean, she is first introduced losing a ship, ordering to braze for the interceptor run instead of to shot at the damn things

@@stephenbyrne2170 yes to a degree they can still die from disease and wounds but age is not really a problem although the dark eldar are kind of iffy because their souls are actively being eaten by slanesh wich is wy they use torture and sadism to refill their souls with a layer of suffering wich slanesh will then feed on instead of their souls.
Stallingratt they can die. It can take millennia but it happens. As they grow older their bones turn to crystal until death

The archmagos at first mistook the Necron Overlord for another xenos who had aided him in the past and set him on the path to Cadia, the Harlequin Shadowseer Sylandri Veilwalker.
Cawl turned, servo-crawlers scuttling beneath him. The intruder was not the Aeldari Shadowseer. Green eyes blazed from beneath a hood of metallic scale. The power core of a burnished staff glinted.
*"I mean you no harm."* The figure cocked his head to one side. "Are those the correct words? I find that no matter which I use, no one ever believes them." He paused. "Wait...What did you call me?"
Secondary circuits meshed, retrieving ancient data. A Necron. A soulless embodiment of the Motive Force. A blasphemy against the Omnissiah. Cawl's Arc Scourge slithered to life, energy crackling across its coils. *"You are an abomination."*
The Necron set his staff aside. *"'Thief' normally suffices. I prefer 'honoured guest.' But abomination or thief, you and I have common cause."*
Cawl willed the Arc Scourge's tendrils to war mode, already anticipating the joy of dissection. *"Logic dictates otherwise."*
*"Then you don't seek to understand the nature of this matrix?"*
The Arc Scourge grew still at Cawl's wordless command. This was unexpected. Or was it the abomination's trick to preserve its mockery of existence? *"You comprehend its secrets?"*
*"I was there when they were first erected. Or perhaps I wasn't. You of all people should understand that memory is a fickle thing."*
Cawl allowed an angry hiss to rattle through his rebreather. *"We share no commonality."*
"Perhaps. I went to the fires of biotransference in chains. You, I think, have gladly sliced away your humanity piece by piece." The Necron stepped closer, eyes blazing. *"But neither of us desires to see this galaxy ripped asunder by the Empyreal Ones. Destroy me if you wish. I will simply awaken elsewhere. Nothing will change. For me, for you ... for this world."*
Cawl remained silent, probabilities warping and reforming with fresh data. First an Eldar had set him on this path, now a Necron offered to guide his steps. But if the knowledge preserved the Omnissiah's Imperium ... *"Show me."*
Sardonic laughter, dry as dust, echoed around the cavern. *"I thought you'd never ask."*

Man, I’ve been watching these cutscene compilations and I gotta day, whoever wrote the dialogue deserves a gold star. Voice acting could be a little better, but the exchanges between adversaries are always so sophisticated.

This game truly captures the scale of Warhammer 40,000. Like when the battlegroup comes out of Warp and you see what you first think are dust clouds. Then you see the beams and you see closer “clouds” and it hits you. Those are *fleets.*

I love how Abbadon just sends out his fleets ones by one, pulling a fucking Araghast and sounding like DR Claw from inspector gadget.

Well, when all else fails, pick the last option on the list way at the bottom. It is next to the "ram everything" option.
There is one point of confusion for me in terms of the story: the disagreement with the inquisitor. Since the Lord commander, Guilliman himself is there with the macragge's honour, couldn't Spire have appealed to him to be the arbiter of the disagreement? Surely Guilliman's authority supersedes that of the inquisitor?
If I may, most likely that part of the story was meant to happen before Macragge´s Honour and Guilliman appeared. There was dialogue in certain parts of the story what makes sense only when you play them in certain order.

The Inquisition operates outside of the command structure of the Imperium. They answer only to the Emperor

Even an Inquisitor would find himself quickly without allies or support and quickly dead for trying shit with a High Admiral. There reaches a point when Inquisitorial authority becomes more suggestion and hoping not to get killed for it. This is far beyond that point.
Darkhammer was an over zealous agent for the inquisition. Was he wrong? No, he believed in his actions even if he can't see the greater threat.

@@informationyes From the dialogue earlier it sounded like Guilliman gave Spire command of the McCragg's Honour and left to go administer from Terra or something, so he wasn't present in the fight just his flagship. At least that's the impression I got. It also makes more sense than him just agreeing to follow this High admiral around the galaxy rather than lead the crusade himself. It seems like he would have said something if he was present for the final battle with the Vengeful spirit afterall given Abaddon's history and everything.

The Librarian Jonah Orion said, "Souls are both bargaining chips and playthings in the warp. Eliphas may have died in the flesh, only to have his soul bartered around by demons." Abbadon might have an even worse time because he was the "heir" to the Chaos Legions and failed over and over and then finally dying? Yeah the Chaos gods would probably be fed up with him at the point.

Just the music alone, not even considering the content, colors, characters, conflict and conversations, is absolutely incredible, amazing. A Game lore that is super longggggg and has a lore confusing, never ending conflict with Only 0.001% surface scratch of a Lore is truly an Art world. WH40K is one Good universe that we really deserve to explore.
