If you use obi-wan's 2nd card and the last one on the first row, blocking lightsaber attacks will drain less stamina meaning you can parry more attacks

For newer players/those who only now focus on lightsaber combat: Always keep in mind that when you use the jumpswing, hook or any move that requires your hero to lift off the ground, you are vulnerable. Good players will be able to easily abuse this by using an ability on you in the right moment. That‘s why experienced players will use those moves with caution. If possible, try to never leave the ground and use dashes to relocate.
So, don‘t be surprised if you get thrown around a bit when first trying to learn hooks or jumpswings. Try to time these moves correctly, for example when your opponent used his abilities already and you should be good.

I few additional techs I know is the lunge, really big deal to catch up to heroes. Basically, with every lightsaber hero, after a push, knockdown, or chasing an enemy, keeping the dot reticle right on the enemy at all times and spamming swing will make you lunge crazy distances and catch up with them. A lot of people do this is on accident, but once you master it, you can pretty much close the gap on anyone

If you get really good at hooks you can differentiate and control the 2 outcomes. One of the outcomes is just raw back slash damage, the other is a stager that leaves them open to an attack of an ability. If you just slightly lower when hooks lashing your more likely to pull of a stager, if you just slightly higher your more likely to get raw damage

Excellent guide! I've been using the hook for roughly half a year, and it's easily my favorite move. Never knew the community gave it a name though. Hooking is easily my favorite finisher, as any decent player will immediately begin playing defensively once their HP is low enough. (Assuming my HP is still decently high) It is a great strategy to simply sprint at your opponent and bait them into exhausting all of their dodges. Once they've used all of their dodges, there is nothing they can do to prevent a successful hook.

You forgot to note that to make most of these work right, especially the ole “dash behind em” , you should be playing on 100 sensitivity. If you’re on like 50-60 and you come up against a pro player with a maxed out vader playing on 100 it quite literally won’t matter what you try to do they’ll hit you before you can even turn around everytime (100 also helps you block the saber throw on the way back as well)

This keeps em guessing and moving the camera, opening them up for a double dodge, whilst doing these moves, Perry attacks and strike at their gard, the guys stamina will be drained and open to other abilities and main attacks, it allows you to attack for longer, draining even obi's stamina. Here's a few more tips.
    1. If Anakin is changing his heroic might all the way, as Count Dooku, put on your duelist and exposed weakness before parrying the heroic might in the back with one strike and lightning and finish them while he's on the ground. This is a one shot kill.
    2. You can parry with abilities. You don't have to use your saber. You can also get 2 hits off a double parry. While this is risky, it can have huge payoffs. For instance, AS Dooku, parry with a lightsaber strike and then lightening. This could give you 2 more free swings. This can also be done with Vader's choke and Anakin's passionate strike.
    3. Like I said before, you can get 2 swings off a parry but it's risky to do. Do not do it against a swing spammer unless it's count Dooku's duelist spamming it. Doing a double hit with a parry leaves you open for a moment and against a swing spammer, this is very dangerous. Instead, use the double hit against someone with a pattern of swinging one time before or after they dash.
    4. Darth Vader has a potentially one shot kill parry combo. To do this, parry with a lightsaber first and the second strike, use the saber throw right behind their legs. If done right they should be hit by your blade and saber throw, which will give you the opportunity to do an unblockable choke. Wait a bit and dash as they're dropping down before getting 2 free swings on them. With a card or two on, this is a one hit kill to anyone with 750 hp or lower.
    5. Try not to use the double dodge too much as it can be easily punished, especially in a pattern. I've found it easy to counter by turning slightly just incase but keeping your character still ready for when he dashes back and swing, making it easy for you to get a double hit parry if they swing one time. If worse comes to worse, dash away quickly and you should escape unharmed.
    6. Be careful with the last move in this video, as it is easily punishable once you learn the pattern and learn to keep an eye on your enemy while preparing on what they're doing at the same time. The hook slash is especially easy to punish as it is a 1 swing move, which will give the enemy a double hit on a parry that can be fatal.
    7. Not every character's parry is the same. They all have slightly different timed windows for the parry. So make sure you practice on each character.
    8. With people who swing at you after you do, you can bait them into a double parry hit. Simple swing, wait a sec and double swing. Don't to it in a pattern or else you might get parried yourself but this is still helpful.
These are just some tips I've picked up in my experience in Battlefront 2. So good luck out there and I hope I could help too.

Honestly I've been playing Battlefront 2 since Anakin's Release and maybe even a bit before Obi-Wan's Release on and off, more so on after Ani's release, and I have to say that these tricks are useful, especially the dashing and parrying. If you struggle with this, I suggest doing a Co-Op in Prequel Trilogy or even in Arcade if Heroes can spawn in there (I think you can have a slider or number of heroes), just learning how to use your dashes are a useful tool especially for dealing with Aggressive Players and some Defensive Players, I never really used Parrying too much but I see if very much in HVV whenever I play it (I'm on a hero-villain level up journey in CoOp rn so that's why I said that), it's a very useful skill I will say that to at least know how it works ingame. This can be defeated by dashing backwards once when they jump and swing or try to dash forwards and try to hit you from behind. If done correctly you will hit their back when they are turning around to hit you. Also the dash forwards and backwards trick won't work since you dashed backwards not turned around. Also can counter Luke dash strike ability by dashings backwards but you have to dash once or twice depending on distance.
    Good video though 😊

@@battlefrontbros9524 I may use these moves when opponent is low health. Other than that I'm defensive during the duel. My main offensive move is running towards them when they are low health then dash backwards to hit them. When I'm running towards them they want to go the opposite direction to create space and time to regenerate health so they dash forwards when I'm running towards them. After they dash forwards they turn around to see where I'm at. Then I hit them from behind.
Edit: I use these moves when they don't fall for the running trick
