    I’m good with all my heroes/villains. One of my tips is to learn lightsabers in general. Knowing your lightsaber makes you better overall

      I agree, different characters differ, aside from their main abilities of course, in swing speed, stamina regen, and damage. So you do have to spend a little personal one-on-one time with each hero. :)

    • @Zaiiuvi
      @Zaiiuvi Před 2 lety +1

      @@kylosmonkey992 true. That’s what makes learning a new character that much harder. You have to get used to the stamina and swinging speed. The abilities aren’t too important considering using them for the first time let’s you learn how they work. But the swing speed and stamina are generally what confuse a lot of people. But me personally. I learned by learning one fast character and one slow character. Then everything else came natural to me.

    Good tips. Also looking at this like a beginner i found that most of them are either one of two things: 1) a way too aggressive spammer or 2) a way too passive defender. Try to move away from both of those as fast as possible and learn to be in between and adapt to your opponent. Also ALWAYS keep an eye on your stamina bar (and health ofc) and learn how each of the heroes play and with whom you can/should be more aggressive or laid back and passive.
    Technically you can play any hero like you want but id very strongly advise against that as a beginner. Oh and when starting out also STAY AWAY from some or the bonus damadge less stamina cards!! Yes on paper it might sound good but i guarantee you have no idea how to manage that as a beginner so dont bother until youve advanced far.

    I always seem to have a problem landing vaders choke in 1v1s because most people hold block most of the time but I love the feeling of choking a full heath luke hitting the saber throw dashing forward and killing him before they can even stand is priceless

    He's not joking when it comes to parrying, I just started battlefront duels about 2 months ago and parrying is my #1 move, once you perfect parrying you can take down players that are much more experienced than you, but always find something you excel at.

    I was looking for an answer to how it can be, that my unexperienced friends can still defeat me in a 1v1.
    I feel like no matter how much i focus on making no mistakes, in the end, it doesn’t matter whatsoever.
    I have a ton of gaming experience and i usually own lesser experienced players with little effort, but in BF2 i noticed, when i started playing against my gf, that she had a good chance of killing me, by spamming force abilities, without having even touched a controller before. I find that very frustrating and confusing.
    Have you any idea why that might be?

  • @arch1324
    @arch1324 Před 2 lety +2

    Thanks man for the video! I’m pretty new to bf2 and I’m really enjoying duelling but I’m not so good, ever since I’ve switched to keyboard and mouse tho I’ve seen some improvement compared to when I was on controller I think the key tip that you gave me is to be patient and to focus on the villains and hero’s play style and the best way to play them I think at the moment I’m sticking to vader,Kyle ren,maul. Then for light side, I’m going for obiwan luke and anakin. And occasionally I’ll use Chewbacca for big maps. I watched a few tips on a different video and he was teaching ppl on how to jump turn around mid air and hit them as a new player is this something I should be worrying about or should learn how to do other things first? I Think I just need some advice on how to back hit bcos that seems like a very crucial part of duelling, I’m pretty new to parry as well but I’m pretty decent with it. If u could just tell me the best advice on how to back hit that would be great or maybe guide me to someone who could? Thanks 🙏

    • @kylosmonkey992
      @kylosmonkey992  Před 2 lety +1

      Hey man I totally missed your comment, sorry. I think, for starting out, you need to just focus on parrying and and just duel a lot. And as your dueling slowly increase your sensitivity until it’s maxed out. Then I would start practicing hook swings and stuff like that. For me personally, I just played quite a bit, but was actively thinking about the things I needed to improve and just worked on those things slowly. I mean there isn’t really a secret formula, other than just applying what you learn to your gameplay, and just keep going at it. :)

    • @arch1324
      @arch1324 Před 2 lety

      @@kylosmonkey992 ok thanks man, is there a reason why I should increase my sensitivity? And how often should I do it and how much should I increase it by?
      Thanks so much for replying 🙏

    • @arch1324
      @arch1324 Před 2 lety

      @@kylosmonkey992 also when you say “maxed out” do you mean 100% sensitivity (I play keyboard and mouse) cos I checked out some pros and they don’t use 100% sensitivity so I’m a lil confused, can u explain pls? I assume the max sensitivity is for controller players?

    • @kylosmonkey992
      @kylosmonkey992  Před 2 lety

      That’s right your on PC, well I’m on console so it’s a little more restricted with sensitivity. But you just need the sensitivity fast enough to do a successful hook swing without the sensitivity being too slow and opening you up for an attack. I mean sensitivity is something that’s different for everyone, and you’ll just need to play around with it a bit to where it feels comfortable. But if you want to do hook swings you do need your sensitivity cranked up a fair bit. I don’t know if this would translate to PC or not, but I can do a hook swing, on console mind you, at around 85% with the in game sensitivity settings. I’ve never played on PC so I don’t know how it all works on there, but hopefully this helped instead of making it more confusing for you. :D

      @arch1324 Před 2 lety

      @@kylosmonkey992 with pc, if ur dpi is high (mine is) then u don’t really need to becuase dpi basically is the same thing and I’m pretty comfortable with my sensitivity atm and I’m confident I have the right sensitivity for hook swings (when I learn them ofc) but thanks anyway
