Bro sorry but NOBODY gatekeeps any of these… if your „advanced members“ only know these things they are pretty trash ngl. Also all of these things are something that you start to pick up when you just start to duel by either observing or having the opponents perfom them on you. You will suck and you will be bad but you will also learn with time and get better dw. Plus like i mentioned these are the very basic surface level things every pleb knows you will learn alot more than this im telling you. Oh also sometimes you may com across a lobby with only two players in it and if it stays that way these are duelists that want to 1v1 and if nobody joins you are obligated to leave. Sometimes they are nice and let you know but that shouldnt be necessary. ALWAYS resepct the 1v1, never play vader with cards and you are gtg i think. Also, each side (light and dark only have 7 heroes in total meaning 7 lightsabers, the rest are irrelevant to us so ususally but not necessarily a blaster hero will be picked at the last round of showdown from each side. These blaster are forbidden to touch the lightsabers and will only battle each other. No matter who wins of them the team who‘s lightsaber hero wom their battle wins the final round by you either going out of bounds and killing yourself or letting the enemy hero kill you. Furthermore, if you get paired with a player who is way beyond you in skill (or level, these are NOT the same) you always let them choose the next hero and pick whats left out of respect. Keep these in mind and you‘ll be good because if you do not follow these guidelines then do not be surprised when the rest of the game or one round at leas the enemy will double blaster you into the ground. Most of the time it was because you or your mate made a grave mistake and NOT because they are toxic, that’s just the punishing response. Oh and last thing, if you want to act friendly/watch a duel then ALWAYS turn your lightsaber off and emote or optionally jump a few times to signal you are friendly. A common mistake would be to lightsaber block spam which is considered as teabagging and disrespectful towards your opponent, NOT AS A FRIENDLY GESTURE! Never blockspam after defeating an enamy as well since that’s disrespectful as well.

Dont forget the step where you have mommy and daddy install an office building router in your basement.....im pretty good at this game, but sometimes when i get near certain players its like im on a two second delay....they dont dash..they teleport....

Don't ever use double dodge against good players, and double parry leaves you vulnerable. Also, be careful when parrying dash strike or claw rush. It's easy once you get the hang of it but still dangerous.

I know players who use all of these but lack the most important trait, patience. If you're impatient or too aggressive. No amount of skill can substitute good judgement. Especially if a duel has been going on for a while, people's impatience gets the best of them.

Also if you Throw your Lightsaber as Vader or Maul And hit the enemy in the legs u can use the Force ability even if the enemy is blocking.. Just time it right when the lightsaber hits do the force ability when timed right it works

Ugg typical console scrub video. First off there are TWO types of parries. Im also pretty sure you can only parry perfect ones... check me on this... and that will get you into a chamber Also that jump strike is nothing until you flick your mouse and then you can get a block bypass. OFC you use controller so get rekt.

I’m not very good at the game but imo double dodge doesn’t do much for me or against me, if someone tries to dash behind me I dash backwards or sideways, facing them either way I go. And when I do it to others they dash out the way too

It makes sense no advanced player wants newer players to know this. It’s like the sith gate keeping their powers because they’re selfish. Power needs to be shared otherwise duels won’t be fun.

For newer players/those who only now focus on lightsaber combat: Always keep in mind that when you use the jumpswing, hook or any move that requires your hero to lift off the ground, you are vulnerable. Good players will be able to easily abuse this by using an ability on you in the right moment. That‘s why experienced players will use those moves with caution. If possible, try to never leave the ground and use dashes to relocate. So, don‘t be surprised if you get thrown around a bit when first trying to learn hooks or jumpswings. Try to time these moves correctly, for example when your opponent used his abilities already and you should be good.

Meh this ain't as usefull no more just dash to the side to avoid someone trying to hook and don't spam your strikes. also if you are too agressive with hook swings its a easy way for the other person to use their force ability on you
