Angelina the Baker - low G ukulele (capo 2) with banjo fingerpicks

  • Slow demonstration is at 1:17. Angelina the Baker is in the key of D. While it is possible to play it out of D without the capo, the use of capo on the 2nd fret and playing out of C is better for the boom-chick pattern of the thumbpick. The highest note is on the E string and there is still one more treble string for the "chick" part.
    All melody notes except one are played by thumbpick. The syncopated fourth note of the chorus (An-ge-line - THE Ba-ker) is played by upstroke of index fingerpick on the "and" of the beat, after the thumbstroke on that beat is intentionally missed.
