- Today's reaction video, ImFrancis react to Bee Gees Too Much Heaven. The video ImFrancis watch is Bee Gees live performance in the studio for Too Much Heaven. This is the first time hearing Bee Gees Too Much Heaven. The Bee Gees were a music group formed in 1958, featuring brothers Barry, Robin and Maurice Gibb. The trio were especially successful as a popular music act in the late 1960s and early 1970s, and later as prominent performers of the disco music era in the mid- to late 1970s. I have done many Bee Gees reaction videos, so check those videos out. If you have other Bee Gees song you want me to check out let me know in the comments.

I'm always asked, "Did the Bee Gees sound like this in concert?" ABSOLUTELY! You will NEVER again hear harmonies, so perfectly in sync like the Gibb brothers. Prepare to be amazed by their songs (it's a huge list). Barry Gibb (center) is the King of Falsetto - hands down. Want soulful? "Fanny Be Tender" - Want funky? "Jive Talkin" Disco? "You Should Be Dancing" Love Song? "How Can You Mend a Broken Heart" - Keep Listening! I'm so happy these musical treasures give you the same JOY I felt hearing them the first time in the 1970's!
I would have love to hear them live in real life!
Watch "One Night Only" (11-14-97) MGM Grand, Las Vegas, NV concert - I was in that massive crowd, experiencing the absolute privilege of hearing Barry, Robin & Maurice Gibb for an unforgettable evening of music. I wish you could have heard them, too - sheer perfection. I've never heard one complaint from any individual who attended a Bee Gees concert...
I wish I could have, that's a great memories to have! glad you got to be apart of something wonderful
I was lucky to go to one of their concerts to see them preform live. It was awsome!
I feel so very lucky to have been apart of the disco era!!! These guys OWNED it!!!
I was born in 1960 this was normal music for my Generation
Those of us who are the "older" generation now were truly blessed to be born when we were & have the musical experiences we had. Memories to last a lifetime.
those were the purest form of music back in the days
Trust and believe! I miss music like this!
So right!!!!
Barry Gibb He had one of the best falsettos ever heard, a lot of harmony and synchronization...
Live orchestra, 3 guys ,1 Mike, no auto tune, raw talent.
The value of the Bee Gees is not just the singing but the brilliant songwriting to so many of the world artists.
they are just a brilliant group!
For sure , super talented 👍🏻👍🏻
Remember the old game Six Degrees from Kevin Bacon? I feel like there could have been a game Three Degrees from the Bee Gees.
idk what that is haha
Drogbajr 003 Lol Google Bacon’s Law 🙂
Insane that they sounded like this live with no autotune.
Maybe one day we will get back to basics and music for the love of music and to bring joy.
I think that's what we need for people to go back to the basic
Saw them in concert when I was younger. Best concert!
I can add to all these comments. This was recorded at Atlantic Records in NYC, they had the only studio this size to fit everyone in. Ahmet Etergan was the owner of Atlantic. The brillant Tommy Dowd was the producer and I watched those strings come in thinking is not classicial. Awesome. I am now 73 and I still love them or the many memories
As a 64 year old that dated and danced with my later to be wife to this song, I am so happy how much you enjoy them. Your reaction and smile is contagious, great job
That is awesome! Thank you so much for your support!
This is straight up baby-making music. It's soft, sensual, yet the BeeGees hit those falsetto notes like a wrecking ball.
You may have heard this already but they donated all proceeds for this song to UNICEF. They were very good guys. They were true gentlemen too.
The amount is $10 million as of now.
The closest song to perfection. The individual and combined harmonies are out of this world. The Bee Gees are phenomenal vocalists and song writers. 🙌🏻
Love this song from the first time i heard it until now. Amazing.
What's absolutely amazing is that Barry Gibb never sang in a falsetto voice until 1975's Nights On Broadway. Their entire career through the 60's he sang in a different register. They were more of a pop band and did some incredibly good songs like Words, To Love Somebody, etc (you should check those out as well, they're beautiful). But after they went through a brief split it was Eric Clapton who suggested they head to Miami's Criteria Studios and tap into the R&B music that was going on in America at that time. He said he always felt they were more of an R&B band but hadn't realized it themselves. It was there & with the song Nights on Broadway that Barry, along with everyone else, discovered he had that angelic falsetto voice that opened up a brand new musical landscape for them & the rest of the world. Thank you Eric Clapton for seeing something in them they hadn't realized themselves & for making the suggestion!!! FYI: They wrote every word they ever sung, wrote every note of music, did the musical arrangements, as well as working on the production.
Barry is just that good!
Did you notice how effortlessly Barry belts the high notes- with his hands in his pockets, lol! They’re so iconic!
he does it so smooth!
I thank god I grew up in the 70s with music like this.
Musicians back in the day were just pure talent. They gave the people a piece of themselves and you feel it deep in your soul on a cellular level. It's pure talent.
Thank you for keeping our music alive
The Bee Gees are my all-time favorite group. Just look in Barry’s eyes when he’s singing it’s like he has this beautiful presence about him like he is in heaven singing the song. And look at the other two brothers they’re just so mellow and So amazing. Nobody will ever compare to the beautiful harmonies of these three guys. They are like three angels and they write their own songs as well. Barry is the only remaining one alive.
But I have to say I’ve watched a lot of reaction videos to the song and you are one of my favorites because you genuinely enjoyed it I enjoyed watching you enjoy it. God bless you
I love their dynamic!
I so agree with you…they take us to Heaven.
And to this day Sir Barry Gibb, the lead singer in this song has only wanted their music to last. He can't believe the resurgence of their 4 decades of music as stated in radio interviews in the past few months. The Bee Gees, all brothers are British, immigrated to Australia as children and Barry currently in Miami. In the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame and Song Writers Hall of Fame. Have really enjoyed your reactions! Keep up the good work!!
their music have lasted forever
Barry's vocal range was A1-A5, 4 octaves. His falsetto was unique because he could sing falsetto and sing vibrato at the same time.
I think your reaction to this song was one of the best I've seen, I love seeing young people enjoying music from when I was young. Thanks ❤
These three Musical Geniuses gave us Pure Magic for close to 50 years - 100% G-d given, raw talent, none of that "Auto Tune" nonsense...
(And, absolutely fabulous during a live concert!)
💖💖💖
After recording this track, the brothers donated "TOO MUCH HEAVEN" to UNICEF, to help children in need around the world. The royalties brought in 7+ million dollars (at the time...) for the charity.
Their ability to musically adapt to each new decade that they entered together, and their extraordinary talent (self taught - never knew what a musical note or scale was...) as songwriters, musicians (playing several instruments...) and their marvelous instrumental arrangements (brother Maurice was a Natural at doing arrangements...) made them into Living Legends during their own lifetime.
Their tight harmonies (which they started practicing as very young children...) are truly unique, being blood brothers - and something that won't be repeated or matched for a long, long time to come...
All three brothers had the ability to sing in falsetto - however, Sir Barry Gibb was/is the one that could do it beyond human comprehension...
The rabbit hole that's Bee Gees is DEEP, my Friend!
"STAYING ALIVE", "FANNY BE TENDER" (WITH MY LOVE), "JIVE TALKING", "NIGHTS ON BROADWAY", "ALONE", "ONE", "FOR WHOM THE BELL TOLLS", "LOVE YOU INSIDE OUT", "BLUE ISLAND" (all royalties donated to children in a wartorn Bosnia...) and "YOU SHOULD BE DANCING" are but a few of their Masterpieces...
they were ahead of their time
I loved your reaction!! Yes, hard to believe just 3 brothers standing around with their hands on the hips, sharing a microphone......and that's what you hear!!!! Phenomenal!! We love the Bee Gees!!!!❤❤❤
That’s when music came from the heart and soul, something we need back today. ☮️✌️❤️🌸
This was a hit when I was 13. Barry was a god at that time. He made the girls melt in a way my lil self had no idea how to.
The Bee Gees wrote & released Too Much Heaven in 1978. It was climbing charts world wide (already #1 in US & Canada, #3 in UK) before the Jan 1979 fundraiser, “Music for UNICEF.” They then donated, in perpetuity, ALL their royalties, not just from the UNICEF event, merch & compilation album (as the other bands did, though some just for a limited time), but also their publishing rights. So, UNICEF continues to get paid, from anyone’s version & any use (including in movies, TV, commercials, etc). As the 1st band to make such a donation to charity, they were recognized for it by UN Secretary General, Kurt Waldheim & invited to the White House by President Carter. The last official tally I saw was 2011, saying UNICEF had received more than 10 million British pounds from it, for emergency food & healthcare. I’ve seen others post it hit 20 million as of 2019, but I haven’t found an official source for that.
I can see why they were huge! that's wonderful for them to donated so much
Lots of men reacting to this song have cried, and half of them have said they are playing it at their wedding.
The bee gees were a phenomenon, started when they were kids. They were far from a one hit band. They've also written multiple huge hit songs for many big singers. They were still touring, but Unfortunately last few years 2 brothers passed away, only Barry is still with us, the main singer.
Just an FYI: Barry is now singing with his son Steven. His other son also sings, but I’m not sure if he’s singing with Barry or not
I wish you could spend a week back in the 70's! It was NOTHING like today. The music was incredible 😁 Enjoyed your reaction!
I totally agree!
This is the best song ever written. So beautiful an perfect harmony. Simply amazing and beautiful music. I cried over and over again when I listen to this heavently masterpiece. 🙏🙏🙏
It was all of them together. Robin was known as the song bird. I love their full harmony more than anyone else and it was nothing without Maurice. He sometimes gets pushed aside but that’s a blind. They weren’t full without him. He had a beautiful voice; just not usually solo. He was the harmonizer which came very naturally. Talent! Love them all together! Watch a full concert.
they are fantastic together!
Broken hearted :(
I love how you closed your eyes and actually FELT the power of Barry's falsetto course it's way through your veins and tap dance it's way up and down your spine, brother... Tell me that didn't happen!!.. Am I right?? 😏 It's always great to see the younger generation embracing what us old farts took for granted because we were constantly immersed in phenomenal musical talent... The Brothers Gibb weren't just amazingly talented.. they were a true phenomenon. Playing this song for your girl and slow dancing it.. holding her tight to you so she could feel your pulse racing... you just KNEW you were getting some on that night, my man! 😂
I was tapping my feets and was feeling the music indeed 🙂
This music in our day created you young folks I know what I'm saying
Francis I grew up with the BeeGees. Hearing them now with all the young generation reactors brings back so many memories. Yes, growing up then was heaven. I would love to go back to that time. Berry Gibb does have one of the most wonderful voices in the world. All of them, Robyn and Marice and Berry Gibb. Amazing, incredible. I miss them. When we get funding for our Patriot Rehabilitation Project in Texas for the homeless veterans and homeless and abused animals. I am going to set up a disco dance space and have the Bee Gees playing and open it to as many people as possible. I LOVED YOUR REATION!! YES, it was a one take thing. Just did it live.
Their range, harmony and song writing skills are second to none!
they do it so effortlessly
It is not insanity it's the Bee Gees and now that they've gotten a hold on you there's no going back, you'll want more and more! I got the Bee Gees bug back in the 1960's and it still bites me every day! Love from Michigan!
You don't find songs like these nowadays with such wonderful harmony and beautiful voices as theirs! 💝
I know I'm late watching this, I just wanted to say I was a teenager when they were at the peak of their career & we just loved them but took them for granted, I saw them live in Manchester. But listening to them now I realise how bloody good they were,
"Took them for granted." Wow. Yes, sadly.
you're never too late and that's awesome!
Barry is the main singer....he's still alive. The rest have passed away. Real brothers.
Fanny be tender with my heart, is a must as well. You will hear each voice. It will blow your mind.
I have heard a lot of people wanting me to check it out
MUSIC as it CAN Be! Brilliant lyrics, superb music & harmonizing and also beautifully, sincerely HEARTFELT !
Adore our BGSXXXXXXX they are brothers Barry in the middle, few yrs older than the twins on either side, Maurice n Robin are the precious slightly younger..they are gone now...💦🙏💦 so is Andy gone. Their baby brother, Barry is the only one left...but we have 5 decades of their music...thousands of songs they wrote, hundreds for others...ICONS💕💟❣💔💯
I'm 59 and can attest to this song working on the ladies back in the day - big time!
You were 10 6rs old when this was released. (◔‿◔)
@@KalujaFlizck I was born in 1964 - Saturday Night Fever came out in 1977 which was when I first hear it and it got lots of air time. I was thirteen at the time and yes, I had girlfriends back then until I came out when I was eighteen in 1982
The Bee Gees forever. Bring them back
I did grow up to music like this and seeing your reaction was just like mine back then. Awesome react young man.
Nice reaction. It's great that you're able to really appreciate just how good they are.
Oh my friend, listening to the Bee Gees is a direct trip to paradise. Those 3 brothers harmonized like no one else on the planet. They wrote all their songs, made all the musical arrangements and wrote songs for great singers. They were also simply geniuses and may new generations appreciate their Talent makes me feel very good. I am 43 years old and my parents adored them. Over time I understood why and I adore them too.
The way I see it. Is God blessed these guys to show how REAL SINGING IS SUPPOSED TO BE DONE! They are angels on earth! Today generations should learn to sing with the heart!
Barry Maurice and Robin best soul harmonies for the spirit!!!
This is my favorite of all time Bee Gee songs, by far.
When I was in Jr. high and high school, I thought I was too cool to ever listen to The Bee Gees. But the. I grew up and realized how amazing they really were.
I know I was really missing out! Thanks for watching my video!
I absolutely love seeing the joy of our future leaders appreciating the old school music.
There is one song by them which you must react to though. Immortality, actually written mostly by Barry I think - and he had Celine Dion in mind for it. There are a few videos available to watch, most are actually good. But the best one I saw that comes to my mind, is the one, almost like a rehearsal of it, where Barry couldn't keep the tears away from coming when he first watched her come to sing it along with them . . . Or maybe she was just trying her own part of it out to see what she thought? Hard to remember it now . . .
I'm blessed I'm being their fan ,love them, they're so,so respectful guys, great singers, the best of the best ,my heart it's saddened for their departure. RIP 🙏 BeeGees God bless always 🙏 ❤️ 🙂💖❤💖🙏🙏🙏🙏
I really wished you younger folks wouldn't say I wished I was living back than or I feel like I was born in the wrong erra! God made you here for THIS/ YOUR time! YES I grew up in the 60's, graduated early 70's but now my journey is about over! Y'all have your whole life ahead of you, choose wisely my friend and REMEMBER, Y'ALL have the recordings of our groups we grew up with!! ENJOY LIFE and appreciate it guys, because TRUST ME when I say, life TRULY IS A VAPOR, it honestly does goes very very Quickly, WAY TOO FAST! I can remember graduating high school like it was literally yesterday!! Smh!
Nice reaction btw!
thank you and you are right about that
You are right, these guys are sooo SPECIAL. The 70's were the BEST, but to enjoy it now is precious. Thank you, you're great💝
That's how they sang that song.. the same hundreds of times.... perfectly each time live too....
I wish I could see them live
I played this “45” in my bedroom over and over and over !
And Rod Stewart!!!
Will always love these guys so happy it was my generation!!!! The Bee gees changed all our lives school was never the sme we went on a little cloud hahaha I am 65
They sang it live at the uniceft concert it sounded the same. If you went to a Bee Gee's concert you got the real thing the music was as good as the records. I loved your reaction I could see you could feel it in your soul. I love the Bee Gee's and have listened to hours of their music. It never gets old. The best band ever.
Loved your reaction.. The Bee Gees will always be badasses.
The Bee Gees started as young prodigies. You should react to the adorable Bee Gees in their very early start. Just print "Young Bee Gees" in CZcams and you'll get quite a few recommendations. You will be shockingly surprised of how talented they were even as kids.
And this was before Auto Tune. These guys were magic.
I think they will laugh at auto tune these days
Difficult to choose a favorite Bee Gee tune . '' Fanny be tender '' has to be your next reaction . Great reaction.
I will try to check it out
"Staying Alive"
"Love You Inside Out"
"Nights on Broadway"
"You Win Again"
"Night Fever"
"Tragedy"
"Jive Talkin'"
I have a lot to catch up on
How can you mend a broken heart 👍🏻👍🏻 covered by Al Green , which Barry says is his favourite cover of their song . Praise indeed ♥️
gotta check it out
Yeah, I grew up with them at their peak in the 70s. They are one of the greatest bands ever. I used to have that song in my "drop them panties girl" tape and many sore backs. For real those white boys had soul! I know you heard it 1 year ago but they also have a song called "If I can't have you" the best version is the one that Yvone Elliman sings. Play it, you will like it.
My face cheeses the entire song too!!!! I have loved them for over 40 years and I'm so happy you have found them! Enjoy!
I love that you loved the song. They were amazing.
How could someone not love this song
I was about 11 years old when this was out and my older brothers would give me a hard time for liking these guys. I didn't care then and I don't care now. My ears know good music when it hears it and I'm glad you're discovering it and enjoying it
you have a good taste in music, my friends do that to me too hahaha
That's real music with a great melody!
Three brothers that can all sing and that are all powerhouse SINGERS in their own right... hehehehehe
The Gibb brothers just ooze talent! They had a younger brother ( Andy Gibb), who had a solo career and died the year he officially was going to join the group after he finished a contractual album. You’ll have to check him out too!
It's so sweet to see a young man so romantic, and if any girl would make fun of you for that then she doesn't deserve you, that song is about them singing to their women and telling them that when they leave this earth they will be together in heaven too, it's a beautiful ballad and I was a teenager when it came out and I've loved it ever since, and no matter how many times I hear it still gives me goosebumps, not too many songs do that, especially with today's music, You need to go back in time and I guarantee you will love the old songs.
Barry Gibb has buried 3 other brothers. The 2 on each side of him are his twin brothers Robin and Maurice, sadly passed on. His youngest brother Andy Gibb also had a great voice and he died during the late 80'. The Bee Gees donated all of the earnings of this particular song to The UNICEF Childrens fund and raised over 11.5 Million Dollars. Great Australian, Great Singers and Great Human Beings.
This is when men talked to women not at them!! It touches your heart and soul!
That makes sense
374th.....Damm I Hope Barry Gibb sees these reactions.......to see the JOY his / their Music Brings People today 40+yrs later....and in honor of his brothers who've now passed....and he's the oldest...I hope reactions like yours gives him Solace.... ..this was my HS music.. class of 79
For someone who is speechless you sure talked all the way through. fabulous aren't they.
You are absolutely correct ... .Our music has changed but not like this.
Love your reaction👍🏼
Bee Gees are my favorite. I was just a small kid when this came out. Learned to appreciate them when I was an adult. So love them❤️
The Bee Gees made beautiful songs. They broke up for awhile & recorded music they had written when a group. Robin's song "I started a joke" is a good one to listen for. They did get back together as a group after their younger brother died from drugs. A few years later Robin passed away & then Maurice (they were twins in case you didn't know) and now only Barry is left.
Barry Gibb’s duets with Barbra Streisand are epic. Look for “Guilty” or “What Kind of Fool.” Very live.
I have to see that then!
@@ImFrancis325 Another song on that Guilty album is “Promises”, very funky 🎶 Great channel!
okay I might check it out
@@ImFrancis325 You will love it..we had some of the best music in our day and all these songs are classic's and pure talent, no auto tunes etc. I am so happy to see younger generation checking out what amazing music we had growing up. You have a long road ahead and will be amazed at the pure talent of all the musicians vocally and instrumental wise!!
This best music. Glad I grew up to this era
Staying alive......Alone.....gotta hear those but honestly.....they are ALL GOOD!!!!!! FOR WHOM THE BELL TOLLS.......I STARTED A JOKE......and keep going. 50 years of bre gees!!!!!
You're never too old to grow up again. Their music catalogue is huge, so much to hear and see. Barry (the lead singer in this) is still going on in his 70's now, with more than 60 years of experience in the pocket. Don't hesitate, give it some time and enjoy. And I admit, some songs you'll like, some you'll like a bit less. But nevertheless: give it a try.
You Should Be Dancing, Fanny Be Tender, Tragedy, Words, Jive Talking, How Can You Mend A Broken Heart - all great Bee Gees hits!!!
I almost dance but was too much in shock!
Extremely cool that Barry took his family on tour with him every time. The others did a lot also I just don't know how often. I think that's so amazing and says so much about their character. Family was so important. Their parents and Andy toured with them until Andy started his own career.
I’m 69 and the music was so Special back then, it will never be like that again, between The Bee Gees, Rightous Brothers, Jackson 5 , Elvis music was AWESOME
yeah they don't make music like this anymore
@@ImFrancis325 ❤️❤️
I was 16 years old when this song came out in 1978, and it still kicks a Hart beat.
I've been listening to these guys since time began...no words! Try listening to their beautiful baby brother Andy Gibb (sobbing my heart out) Oh & Dude? so not a one shot thing...this is Barry, Robin & Maurice every fricken time they sang. Sadly the twins, Robin & Maurice are no longer with us...but Barry still kills it every time he opens his mouth...Bless you my beautiful boys xoxo
Bee Gees is God Level 😃
My first thought was “Oh, you poor baby…sit down and listen !”
Yes it was one take live decades before autotune was ever invented .. This is all their voices and pure raw talent .
bee gees stayin alive
It's on the list
@@ImFrancis325 Theres a version of Stayin Alive (never used for Saturday Night Fever movie) with a slow part in the middle of the song. Few people even know about it, you might like it?
I'll try to check it out
OK now that you’ve listened to how deep is your love and too much heaven, you must do fanny be tender with my love, love you inside and out, I started a joke, words, how can you mend a broken heart, to love somebody. You will never again in your lifetime hear such beautiful harmonies. They’re angels!!!!! Rip Robin and Maurice:)
I will try my best
We were the greatest generation
I am so blessed that I grew up in that era.
Remember back then you had to know how to sing very well or you didnt make it because that was there voice and instrument.🎙🎼🥰
BeeGees, The Brothers Gibb. Left, Robin Gibb; Middle, Barry Gibb; Right, Maurice Gibb.....Totally Awesome!!!" (Also, How Do You Mend A Broken Heart" and/or "How Deep Is Your Love"........)
like what the speakers still love them
they are amazing
Pure love music is right! Take me to the dance floor right now!!! Only if you can dance though…lol
Really enjoyed your reaction to the Bee Gee's Too much heaven song. Felt the same way. Another one of their songs which is called -"How deep is your love" is also awesome and just as good but different. My last lady friends and my favorite song.
