@steve Robinson we can’t help it. First of all Barry and his brothers was eye candy they had the beautiful blown out hair but that heavenly voice of theirs just took them to the next level. U will forever get that from this song. I mean look at moe and robins face when they sang they probably thinking damn Barry got these ladies in loveee! 😂 if it was a Concert no doubt they would have been ladies running on stage trying grab and kiss them.

    • @Kget2knowme

@ShyAnn Pitts they have actually when robin went solo. He was on stage singing his hit song I started a joke and some chick ran up the stage and grab him took poor robin by surprise and she was trying to hug him and he was trying to get away. After he finally got her off him with little to not much help from security. He actually went back to singing the song until he seen a grown ass man running up the stage robin ran for his life. The crazy thing about the whole situation was the event planner of the concert told Robin and another guest singer that they were Secure like they had electrical fence that nobody can’t get over which of course was a lie but Robin being the stud muffin that he is took it all in stride he was very humble and very down to earth and understood the situation even though it was very Trumatic for him I’m guessing. The video is up on CZcams.

The Bee Gees are LEGENDARY, so talented with perfect harmony. They were so popular in the 70s and were on the radio so much that I think we all loved their songs but greatly underappreciated their actual talent. The group became even more popular in the 70's. Their music could easily stand up today in rotation on any R&B or Soft Rock Radio station. Too many differences of opinions as to where the group should be going. Remember when Robin left to pursue a solo career. They knew they were not happy doing solo careers. So, they decided to come back together. If a song/lyrics came to their mind, they would stay apart, and write down bits and pieces. Then come back together, get suggestions from their brothers, and put it all together for the final product. I guess too much talent has to cultivate on its own.

To me this is the most perfect love song every written and they donated all of the royalties to this song to UNICE. Barry (oldest brother) is the one in the middle, Maurice (pronounced Morris) is on the right and Robin is on the left. Robin and Maurice are twins and 3 years younger than Barry. They have been singing together since they were kids in the 1950s so their harmonies are incredible. They started writing, singing and performing in the 1960s. They write all of their own music - melody, lyrics, orchestration and performing and recording only their own music. They also write and produce for other artists - Diana Ross, Michael Jackson, Dionne Warwick, Barbra Streisand, Celine Dione, Kenny Rogers, etc. Unfortunately, Maurice died in 2003 though they kept writing, recording and performing together up to that time. After he died Robin and Barry continued to write, record and perform until Robin died in 2012. Barry then continued to write, record and perform solo though he retired a couple of years ago due to hearing problems and arthritis in his hands after playing guitar since he was a kid. He now mentors young artists. They wore and made beards sexy long before they were popular. Barry and his wife, Linda, have been married 54 years and have 5 children and numerous grandchildren. I always imagined Barry singing this song to Linda.

Loved your particular reaction. Specially when Barry takes it to the next level that nobody would think he can get to.

"How Deep is Your Love" - There's your next Bee Gees video reaction. Barry Gibb - He's the one you're asking about. Indeed, he was not only vocally gifted, he was gorgeous! Also, listen to "Fanny be Tender" or "Run to Me" - More of Barry Gibb's amazing falsetto? "Stayin Alive" - a classic hit. I was beyond lucky to attend a Bee Gees 1997 concert - Wish you could have been there, too!

@@DiscoDoll79 - Sad that he is getting more recognition since he died and can't appreciate it. Same with Mo the musical wizard, glue, mediator and all round nice guy. The group died with him as did Robin. Unfortunately not everyone is aware of their 60's and early 70's work where Rob often sang lead and later like "Bodyguard" (sexy!) or when he shared the lead like "For whom the bell tolls" and "Secret Love".
Too bad you saw them in '97. They were all HOT in their youth but hey, better than never seeing them.
Barry was the take control PR guy, self confident and handsome of which Robin was acutely aware and he considered himself ugly. I didn't think so at all, just not traditionally handsome. Robin said he was overly sensitive and shy and that hurt him. He also cowrote 90% of their songs, including those for others.
If you hear some of his interviews he was a very deep thinker with amazing wit and intellect. Barry said "No one could compete with his wit" and "His voice was killer".
He was very active with the British Heritage Society and its President for years (his name mentioned for knighthood but he died before it came to pass), a walking encyclopedia, head of the composers' union that fought for and won fair compensation, spoke in Parliament for refugees and worked with Outreach to help underprivileged kids. Few are aware of his altruism.
      Yadda, yadda, yadda!
OK, so I'm a Robin girl, LOL. I think as people learn more about each brother they will appreciate them all for their own uniqueness and contributions..
I appreciate that you are a Barry girl as are many. Nevertheless the Bee Gees were three and all equally vital. We found that out when they broke up in '69.

Barry is still with us at 74. He was the oldest of the 4 boys of Barbara & Hugh Gibb. He has an older sister Lesley who didn't sing. His brother Andy died at 30, he was the youngest but wasn't a Bee Gee but a great solo performer in his own right. The Bee Gees wrote amazing songs & for other performers too. Their catalogue of hits is endless & the group only ended when Maurice & Robin died, sadly, it's still hard to believe they're gone only 53 & 62 in ages. Sure they would have continued well into 2020 & beyond. Barry that's his name is left to continue on. Check them out as children & teens, they were great then too. U could see how talented they would become.

Let's blow your mind....... One take only to record this song! The proceededs from this song went to charity. It was a number hit, plus UNICEF got 11 million dollars and counting from the royalties. What an absolute treasure they were. Their were 4 brothers.... Andy, the youngest died in 88 or 89, Barry, the blond lead singer, Maurice and Robin. Barry is the only one left living as his brother's tragically passed away. Please watch the story of the Bee Gees on CZcams. They were and still are one of the greatest groups, ever! Barry wrote numerous number one hits for the group plus for other artists. I have always thought that if Andy had of lived he would have been the greatest Bee Gee, he was going to join the group. His voice was angelic as was all of their voices. Congratulations on finding the greatest group of the 70s and 80s!

Barry Gibb grabbed another one. Lol. Welcome to the club. All of us women have our mouths open just looking at him, on the inside. Barry is literally my dream guy. I’ve discovered it’s not just his ridiculously handsome face, but everything about him, from his always perfect mane of hair, to his tall, always slim figure, to his long legs, to his big hands with long, slender musician fingers. Always dressed to the nines, especially in their 60s videos. As well as how he moves to songs. He keeps the rhythm and has some moves. Not only does he have an extraordinary voice, and is a genius songwriter, but he’s theatrically gifted. He’s a natural showman. He really sells a song with his voice, emotion, body, and hands. He takes up a lot of room in a room, if you know what I mean. He sucks up all the attention just by being. And above all that, he’s truly a good man, with many other great qualities, like his wisdom to stay out of clubs, faithfulness to his wife, being a great dad and big brother, compassion, sense of humor, and irresistible giggle.
He may have hit the jackpot in looks and talent, but his wife hit the jackpot in love. He’s a dream catch.
