Because people today have attention spans less than a goldfish and pretty much believe anything because thereâs no critical thinking nowadays, and the fact that people are always looking for the next new thing there never happy with what they have already and just enjoy and wait for the next thing which will eventually come.

This is the only thing that really odd about the Nintendo Direct. Cause every year the 1st Nintendo Direct has always happen in like Late February or Early March talking about their mainline titles. And all we got was the Partners showcase, which was just mediocre. Its honestly rather disappointing that we have to wait so long for a Nintendo Direct since September 2023, its gonna be like 9 to 10 months till the next Mainline Nintendo Direct which usually is in June to July.
I've found that it's best to just wait with stuff instead of looking into it. When you wait, there is a hundred percent chance something will eventually come, but when you look into it and try to find a time you get disappointed.

There was no evidence of a direct happening in April to begin with. We just had the partner showcase like 2 months ago. There was no reason to hype anything up this month.

Because there hasn't been any first party Directs this year, and Nintendo hasn't done any June Directs apart from E3. But as it is, it seems to me that Nintendo isn't doing a Directs before they're ready to reveal the Switch 2.

Why is everyone ignoring that at the last investors meeting the President said they'd have more to discuss in the next investors meeting... Indicating they'll have something before.

Honestly, if they are going to announce it, which they should soonish, I would think they'd wait till Summer when everything is announced for all consoles. If they don't have anything to speak about in the summer, then they are going to lose to Xbox and Playstation who is gonna be announcing games left and right. And without Switch having any new games.... well there is nothing to go against them. I'm also not sure why people expected the Switch to come out this year. A number of games still have updates coming out. And we still have 2 amiibos for Splatoon that have yet to come out.

This is just my own opinion. I don't think they are going have their own direct until September. They might have a mini showcase again in June or partner showcase. Something like that. But I think September will be the blowout. I don't know I've been wrong before. But I've been right before. So I don't have any inside information. But I think that's when they're going to announce more about Nintendo switch games and the Nintendo switch. 2 or whatever it's going to be called. It just makes more sense that way. The market is saturated with Nintendo switches so I don't think they expect to sell too many more. I think they're just trying to get the Mario game and maybe New donkey Kong game. It'd be awesome if it was in 3d. And then maybe Metroid prime 4. And because Nintendo doesn't like to release a new system without a legend of Zelda game as well. They are going to highlight maybe ocarina of Time or Twilight princess or wind waker. Or they could advertise another tear on their subscription for the new system. It's not all doom and gloom. I think they're just holding their cards close to their chest. Not to mention all the third party games that could come over.

@@courage1363 also remember if switch attach is out next year letâs say March for example then Nintendo will need to show it off in September and this next direct will have to have every switch game from June to March in it, makes far more sense than having a direct in April that would end up having 11 months of games squashed into one direct a switch attach reveal in June and leaving September empty. We could get a GBA or N64 game this month, although as the roadmap just finished, it'll be a surprise what game it could be. Online Four Swords would be amazing. That said, we just got more SNES games on NSO, which is nice. Nintendo promised the investors they'd get more information on the fiscal year in May, so we should at least hear something about Nintendo's plans, or there will be some really annoyed investors. We could also get games announced on Twitter, though, as Nintendo has done that before. Normally smaller games, though.

Well thatâs interesting. Yeah. I agree that I have no idea what Nintendo is planning for this year lol. Or rather the later half of the year. There is some games we do know for the second half of this year but thatâs it. A direct could be anytime at this point since Nintendo seems to be doing this year different. I do believe though that around the time of the next investorâs meeting on May 7, we will definitely be hearing something from Nintendo. Could be a little before or a little after it or maybe a couple of weeks after it like what happened in February. Nintendo themselves did say back then in the last meeting that they will discuss their plans for the rest of the year in Mayâs meeting. Nintendo canât keep silent then. I bet on that. Lol
I am so frustrated. I think of not buying anything from them until they start communicating more with the fans. I even thinl about not buying the switch 2 when it will finally come at the release date, but to wait first. In 2023 I would have prrordered without any doubt, but the hype is gone for me for now. My opinion is that Nintendo knows exactly what they are doing. They are probably laughing at all these rumors and predictions. I donât think they are scrambling or off schedule. From a business standpoint, it does make sense that a new console will appear sometime later in the year. I donât believe the âdelayâ speculation. At some point Nintendo will announce something and we will finally know the truth.
