If it is between PS4 Pro and Xbox S when docked, and stronger than PS4 in handheld mode, it’s gonna be amazing…

I want it aswell, iv spent alot of time and money on building my switch game collection, iv got like over 120 physical games now so will be pi$$ed if backwards compatability isnt there!!
But i think previous games wont get much use out of the new power of the switch 2, maybe a vety small grafical upgrade but thats it.
I dont mind tho aslong as i can still play them on this new console

If switch 2 support Online games like shooting games with 1080p 60fps in handheld! Dang that's a super win, there will be no reason to have Phone for that and it will make TV player have more options for having handheld.
That's switch advantage as a console a handheld windows device can't do. Nintendo should exploit that.

Finnaly it was about time. The limited Switch hardware has gotten to the point of exhaustion, especially not being able to have another gaming console for so long, such as the Xbox One X/Series X or Playstaion 4/5

Switch 2 Docked looking as good as PS5 resolution & Switch 2 undocked as powerful as a PS4. Also, the way I see it Sony Playstation will have quite competition saleswise, especially with the Switch 2's expected price to be lower than PS4 & PS5.
honestly im more than happy with ps4pro level. Current day consoles are more powerful becuase they were made without ai based upscaling and frame generation hence they hit the 60fps mark by force while switch could make 30 frames and interpolate and reduce power consuption. you will see amazing visuals without having to overheat or use alot of power. im excited

Docked mode I believe. Handheld mode it's rather difficult to believe. Especially the source saying that docked mode is basically less than twice the power over the handheld mode which it by itself sounds extremely strange

Ram sound good to me. I was willing to go as low as 8gb ram and would have been very surprised by anything above 12gb
I am so hyped!! But for now I'm playing persona 5 Royal on my switch 1 and this will be my last big game for it. Animal well is apparently great, arlo did a whole video about it, will be my last smaller game.
Know people seem to rave about DLSS etc and I'm not a game dev but surely if your making GTA6 with PS5 in mind going to be a pain to get running on Switch 2

I wouldn't expect much, maybe the same power around the steam deck, but with 8gb of ram, It could go a long way if optimized properly.
Sounds like it is going to be 1.9 to 2.0 teraflops. I like a round number, but it might only be 1.9. Hardly a PS4 pro, but plenty good for a handheld.
It would make sense to have four times the power of a Switch 1 because they are going from 720P to 1080P with a max of 1080P going to a max of 4K.
Sounds like the power of the system may be close to a lower end Steam Deck in a smaller form factor with a longer battery life. PS Nintendo the cost of storage has come down tremendously, please give us a terabyte of storage on day one, or 512GB at the bare minimum.
Hold your horses Zach. There is not gonna be no 4K for the new Nintendo system the PS4 have 4K but the PS4 pro did. I think it’s gonna be in between the PS4 pro and a series S, but either way I’m excited for this new system and I can’t wait.

on your point about twitter/X integration, it's most likely in relation to the API fees Elon introduced. xbox and playstation both trashed the same functionality over the API fees.

if this is true, game devs and nintendo themselves need to develop games with the assumption that it will always be docked.
So a slightly beefed up ps4 in handheld mode probably with a better cpu and other specs and a slightly underpowered xbox series s in Docked. Interesting
It doesn't matter how powerful the next nintendo console is, im only getting 1st party games anyway. Nintendo is only still around because of its 1st party games, if I have a choice of consoles for a game im going ps5 for better performance and the trophy system

Well CD Projekt Red got Witcher 3 on the switch 1. And cyberpunk 2077 ran on the ps4 and even Xbox one (terribly but still) so it running on the switch 2 is only a matter of CD Projekt red believing in the switch 2s success

@@taylormoon9233Not up until GameCube, it wasn't. The SNES was more powerful than the Genesis, the N64 better at 3D in ways than both Saturn and PlayStation with faster loading times, and the GameCube was the second most powerful console of the generation.
