I would kill for an all-Metroid direct. Mercury Steam releasing Super Metroid remake and Samus Returns HD, Zero Mission on NSO, Metroid Prime 2 Remastered with online support and Metroid Prime 3 Remastered down the line and an actual teaser for Prime 4.
That would be the dream direct.

Much like most Nintendo CZcamsrs at this point just throwing stuff at the wall and seeing what sticks.
At this point, given how long it's been and how many "rumors" and "leaks" there have been regarding it, I'm terrified that Metroid Prime 4 will just be... alright. At this point, Metroid Prime 4 is pretty much the most long-anticipated game Nintendo has ever announced; there has been nearly 7 years of hype building for this game, even though literally NOTHING has been shown.
I would love a Metroid Direct showing off Metroid Prime 4 and a couple other releases such as a Samus Returns HD or Prime 2&3 Remasters, but I can't realistically see that happening. When you are as hungry for Switch 2 and games news as you seem to be, you start to believe just about ANYTHING.
As far as I can remember, Nintendo has only ever done Directs focused on a single game/franchise for games that have already been announced and are releasing in like a month (AC:NH, Xenoblade 3, Splatoon 3 to name a few recent ones), or for Mario with the 35th Anniversary presentation. I don't recall them ever even doing it with ZELDA, so I simply can't imagine them doing it with one of their (frankly) smaller IPs like Metroid.
That being said, if Prime 4 was releasing in November or something, I could imagine them doing a Prime 4 focused Direct in October.

I really would LOVE a direct centered around Metroid P4. Metroid deserves the spotlight.
I do believe they have games ready for the new console. Metroid Prime 4 was, supposed to come out on the Wii U. Iâm pretty sure the new 3D Mario game is ready, plus you have that Game Freak and obsidian game theyâre working on.

Makes the most sense that Prime 4 would be next gen. Really doesn't make sense for it to be current gen.
The way i see it a way to make metroid more appealing to a mass audience is by making metroid nintendos horror franchise. The gow2018 team is working on cutscenes and they are very good in boss fight and story driven with a silent character scenes. So thats all we need plus a horror spin. Like lets say wjy your expmore the metroidvania gameplay and map there is a unkillable enemie lik mr x or chasing you the whole map. Kind of like metroid fusion.

It could a combination of all these rumors or a part of them are true or none of it is true. Itâs really hard to tell at this state we are at with Nintendo. Mayâs investorâs meeting might reveal something or just before it or just after it. Thatâs what I am betting on. It could be something Metroid related but if itâs not at all. Then I truly think that Metroid prime 4 is coming to be a showpiece for switch 2. It will likely be cross gen with switch 1 of course but thatâs what I am leaning on. Still canât determine what the next direct will be or when it will be though đ€

This is the time for nintendo to releas all the unreleased ports, twilight princess, wind waker, prime 2 and 3, ect. That would be smart and put Nintento back on top, in my books anyway.
If we're going to do speculation, let's do wild speculation. Throw Samus in Sonic Superstars. She can run, jump, and spinball through tunnels. Throw some Metroids into all the stages. Maybe do an expansion where Robotnik is trading tech with Space Pirates. It writes itself.
Personally, I would love to see the Metroid Zero Mission, Samus Returns, Super Metroid & Fusion get a full remake for Switch(2) as well as Prime 2 & 3 :-) Though, playable on standard controllers :-) I would happily buy those physical and digital. đ

Switch 2 is going to be leagues better than Switch at this point. It'll be sorta upsetting if they didn't shift Metroid Prime 4 development to Switch 2 by this point. But it does make sense to be the swan song. But we've seen in the past that late gen games can be unsuccessful with a new console looming as well. Who knows. It better sell either way. Switch 2 launch title would be ideal in my world. Or month 2/3 after 3D Mario launch with Switch 2. People crave new games to play on their new system a few months in. 1st party Switch games look good but I don't think Switch can do Metroid Prime justice really. There's a reason Nintendo avoids stylistic realism with Zelda as well. It's not going to look as good as people want if it's just on Switch. Can't see it being much better looking than Prime 1's remaster. Especially if they are attempting to make it much larger.
Cross gen is the best you switch 2 enthusiasts are gonna get and from Iâve heard from a Xbox speaker on podcast is that Nintendo is gonna push Metroid this May unlike prime 1 remaster theyâll make commercials for this game so thatâll be interesting.
I want Metroid prime 4 to be on switch 2. I want it on a more powerful machine nit on a toaster.

I don't know why you were holding on hope for a direct I doubt Nintendo has much left for this year The Ports for Luigi's Mansion 2 and paper Mario is about it I think there was only one time that's a direct was in February so if it was in February there was a very small chance it wouldn't be there I doubt Metroid prime 4 Will be done by year one of switch 2 maybe a trailer this year like I was saying that I doubt they'll do much before The following year before switch 2
Nintendo can go radio silent till September and not care what we think. Thereâs more important stuff going on before we expire. When Super Switch drops, it will sell. Till then focus elsewhere.

What's funny is that Nintendo's behavior has apparently been very "strange" for the past several years now.
And it becomes even funnier when you consider that Nintendo hasn't had a first party Direct in April since 2017 (the timing of which making perfect since given they *just* released a new console). In other words, if Nintendo DID have a non-Indie World Direct in April, THAT would've been a strange move.
People seem to flip flop between "Nintendo just randomly decides stuff on the fly" and "Nintendo is playing the long game, planning things years in advance" depending on what supports current rumors.

I'm really looking forward Metroid Prime 4 to launch....for it to sell only 1-2 millions copies like Metroid games do and then gets forgotten like Metroid games do.
