Lumia's were definitely something different. I remember when 1020 came out, and my friend bought one shortly after that, and I was so amazed by the looks and feel of it. Also, that camera was great back in the day. But unfortunately I never went for one, since lack of some basic apps killed it for me. It would be great if Windows phone makes a comeback one day, since we only have iOS or Android today, and third option would definitely stir things up a bit.
Back in the day I could only afford the Lumia 520 but, man, I LOVED that phone! I'm one who'd gladly welcome a Windows phone return.
I enjoyed my time with Nokia Luma 520, that was my first proper phone. Even though its lens is not branded (Zeiss), i still able to use manual settings and make photos look like they were taken on a digicam.
Agree! I used it from 2013 to 2019 as the main device, it was a perfect Nokia, better than its bigger sister 1520, and even today mine as is, all in black looks like new, just a timeless design!
Seriously, I think I was the biggest supporter of Win mobile OS here in Croatia and then Nokia CEOs did it again, they let it die, almost the same faith as N9 and for a time, perfect Megoo :)
I had one till 2018 from 2015 i liked very much it was unique and with strong camera
When a device still looks good after over 8+ years, you know they nailed the design. Lumia stands the test of time better than anything else, yet never got enough credit back in the day.
and Nokia of course kept making one wrong decision after the other :(
Just imagine that combo, Lumia 930 hardware and Meego for software... Ah, mozemo samo sanjati... ;)
Ja sam tvrdio da je N9 imala 2 GB Ram bila bi najsavršeniji uređaj na planetu!
I would Like to see in 2023 device from Nokia that looks like original N9 but this time in 6.43 inch, proc SDGen2, 12 GB ram and Megoo 2.0 :)
Согласен с тобой, к меня была Lumia 640 👍
I would love if HMD global made a phone similar to 1020....that phone looked awasome...just a brilliant looking and feeling device and they should stick to solid colours and smaller phone those will fly of the shelf....
If apple come back with old style se series why nokia can't make old lumia style Android phones with better specs🤔
@@sarthaksingh5480 that would be a great move for the company and for the fans of the old lumia phones....
Absolutely. I had one for 2 years. Absolutely loved it. Although the crippled os lacked apps, the interface was very modern and fluid, even for these days. The hardware was amazing, phone felt robust and good in hand.
I'm so glad I found your channel. I've always been fascinated with Nokia, and to find a channel completely dedicated to Nokia? Awesome!
I'm glad you're here Michael :D
Agree totally, a beast of a phone and ground breaking in so many ways, apart from that frustrating battery!! I personally love the design of the 9 pureview but with lots of Lumia colour 👍👌
I'm playing this video again and again. I just love it
I miss Windows Phone😢
We all do :(
My perfect phone that I would use even today❤ I love Lumia now and forever
You got a new sub man. Keep up the good work.
Thank you :D
Lumia 830 was an evolved 930 design with comfort to hold it! I remember hearing a word that the thick bezels on 930 were a bit hard to hold ! I owned a 720 back in the day and i really wanted to upgrade to another lumia . I couldn’t as they started to fade away without proper flagships and neglected software! Lumia was a vibe on its own back then ❤️
My inspiration would be a 920. One question - can you imagine any of contemporary HMD Nokia phones having this iconic status in 10 years?
Nokia 9 if ever
6.1 2018 is still a titan just like it was the day it came out
Good question. Maybe the Nokia 8 Sirocco or 9PV. They did make nice looking phones, like the 7 plus, X71, 8.3, but Lumias were so different than anything else in a better way, which I can't say about any other modern phone, even outside of HMD. Which brand is still making iconic devices these days in your opinion?
@@AbdullaZaki apple had some iconic iPhones and Samsung had few great models, but other than that, everything looks forgettable.
Just discovered your channel; I'm subscribed!
Keep up the great work: The Nokias depend on it! 🤩🤩
Thank you for subbing :D
N 925 had an elegant slim design and very cool amoled display. It's very comfortable to use. Camera was great. It could go upto 3600 iso and had ois. Display ratio was very uncommon that makes it a unique device among other tall phones. That unusual shape gets immediate attention when it was taken out from the pocket in public. Bright big font always on display was great.
tall phones are a bane on the phone world
925 was pure elegance. I loved my black 925's design
I still have mine somewhere in my drawer XD
I have all my old Lumia phones in drawer. Think it's 4 of them. One I still use to record videos at gigs.
Nice presentation! I still own and love my 930 along with an 830 and I just can't decide which one looks nicer (Lumia 925 was a hell of a good looker too!) I really miss these devices. My friends only knew android and iphones back then, but I knew better...
I owned a Lumia 520, and I loved that phone. It's actually the longest I've ever kept using one smartphone.
Was a beautiful small phone
Lumia 720 was my first ever smart phone. Honestly the best camera for that time. Camera controls were out of the world!! I still have it..
My favourite Lumia phone ever. Live tiles were such fun, amazing camera and screen my 930 was a beast. I miss those phones!
Probably the 930 in that white gold edition. Holy moly that phone was gorgeous
I love the square edges on that phone so much!!
I miss these phones...
Best functional phones for work EVER!
HMD SHould use these phones as inspiration.
I have one. I honestly have no clue where it came from, one day I got it handed to me and it's clearly modified with a black frame and green back and it is absolutely gorgeous.
I always wanted one in this specific combination of colours... but are you sure it isn't the Lumia 830 which came in green and black for the US?
I used lumia for a long time... Everything from camera to design everything..i still dont get that perfection in camera from todays phones... Just brilliant😍
Banging Content as always, aah the good ole days of Nokia, i loved the E90, maybe a remake with touch screen and physical keyboard, just 1 single massive camera sensor on the back and we good to go,
E90, now thats a phone I definitely wanna feature someday :D
They need to bring back Nokia 9 pureview with the five cameras.. but now with better processor, side mounted finger scanner, and a dedicated processor for photography..
Omg thank you so so much for this video!! Huge fan here I miss them so so much… I’m getting one asap now I know it’s still working that well 🤍🥰 Nice ending with your cat interference lol
I cant still remember the Lumia 800, it is so handsome much handsome that 930 hopefully you can show us in future upload 💝💝💝
I have owned L625, still love how it felt in the hand. This was the epitome of that design!
Kitty bloopers🤩😂
Best bloopers :D
Great device. I own this model before. Love the features especially when comes to slide presentation. Photo quality was superbly amazing too during that time. To be honest I prefer windows platform to android or ios. Used to have Microsoft 640xl, 940xl, surface pro, surface pro 4.
16:9 format was the best, with it's 5 inch looks like a great size
Lumia has a lot of potential! God I remember when I used to have my 920 😭
I had this phone in white back in 2014. One of the best phones I’ve had, but it was a shame after a year of using this phone, a lot of the apps I used were dropping off and the windows App Store was very limited with what apps you could download. It’s a massive shame because it was genuinely a great phone that had so much potential, but it didn’t get the recognition it deserved.
Yes it was. An equal to the i phone of the time. I loved mine it replaced my Nokia 800. Which in my opinion was the nicest phone I've ever held. Nice video Abdullah 😎👍
Thanks Sean! The 800 was a copy of the N9 in terms of hardware, and it was indeed fantastic to hold!
Where can i buy this phone
Best of Best Nokia
Old is Gold
Nice use of one of this phone’s ad music!
I love that music :D
I had the lumia 600 series. I loved it
For me, it was the 1520. Something about the square, that one eye camera that kind of bulges out like the headlamps of an old car, kind of reminding me of the 1970s, 2002 BMW headlamps. I love that it had a two stage camera button, I love how it used the pure view technology of the 1020, but without a giant Oreo on the back. And that large screen was utilized decently well. With lacked multitasking just like iPhone still does, still, making use of apps on that giant screen just made life so easy. I especially loved using its camera for doing my friends wedding even though it didn’t have a Zenon flash, which was pretty frustrating because LED flashes just garbage. But the photo quality was amazing. And that large screen made using websites on Explorer really good. It felt like using a tiny laptop but with much better usability than the actual tiny laptops. Long live the 1520.
Missed my 930. Upgraded from water damaged Lumia 920. While I had it I never need lots of apps and the one that I needed, they provided it. Never lagged, never hanged, except after I upgraded to Windows 10 Mobile, which I quickly revert back. Using Cortana, wireless charging and Always-On display before it was cool. Clean and smooth user interface. Best camera ever, unbeatable at low light and natural colors with Pureview. Only downside compared to 920 was the mono loud speaker instead of stereo. And then it fell down the floor and the inner screen cleanly broke in half while I was hospitalized. Good times.
What a great design and device! I really wish, now looking back, I had opted for at least one Nokia Lumia device in those years. Instead I chose to go with BlackBerry, which I liked, but I always regretted shifting away from Nokia. Glad to be back today, but certainly this trip down memory lane sure brings back some regrets...
BB has some nice devices back then. Very practical, and the physical keyboards were pretty good. I always wanted a Lumia with a slide out keyboard but it never happened
@@AbdullaZaki The BlackBerry Priv, the first BB Android device, and the last one designed, developed and produced in-house by RIM/BB, was close to that. A full-touch device with a sliding, physical keyboard. Great design too, with curved edges, the physical keyboard was capacitive/touch sensitive as well. Unfortunately it was too expensive for those days. Too little too late for BlackBerry who strategically should have pivoted to Android early on. Unfortunately, though I loved the BB10 OS, was also their downfall (amongst many other reasons).
Loved this Nokia! It was ahead of its time. Wireless charging, live photos - apple would have you believe they came up with these gimmicks!
And Cortana could understand my accent! And activate when you spoke to her. I have the Nokia 8.1, as good as it it - Google just feels....stroppy.
Thank you. Bro it's a stale world now,we miss all those Nokia phones
Nokia XL was my first Android smart phone😍
I can never forget that smarthphone
I will be covering it soon on the channel :D
Waiting 4 your Video bai😇
I love my Lumia 930) Even though it's in black/gold it still looks beautiful even today. Screen is absolutely great and even though it's not extremely bright, didn't have problems with using it under sun. The speaker is straight up the best down firing speaker I've ever seen, it is kinda easy to cover it up if you're not used to the phone, but it sounds consistent whatever angle you are, unlike most modern phones with bottom speaker. Mine is running Windows 10 so it's running out of charge in about 12 hours of moderate usage (mostly browsing web and working in MS Office) which is enough for me. Camera is a bit dated, I like how photos turn out in HDR, they're quite different from what I've seen on modern phones, I still prefer my Xperia XZ1 in manual mode for photos though
Still have Lumia 540 in home..... It was our first truely smartphone!!!! ❣️❣️
I'm wondering if HMD hold the camera patents to Lumia and pure view camera tech... I guess they don't since the combination of hardware and software now don't reflect the glorious days... so sad if yes...
My inspiration for revival of classic Nokia would be N95, redesign it for touch screen and today's design language and keep those killer loudspeakers acoustic chamber and keep that famous circle around camera, and use 1" sensor.....
*Thank you* for your keeping the beautiful cat sound... 👍
I agree. I had one, and ABSOLUTELY loved the thing (I had the N95 8Gb). They DID release concept images a coupla years back, for a new N95 that looked promising, but, sadly never pushed through with it. I would also like to see a modern E7 (seeing as Blackberry/Onward Mobility have left the room so to speak, Unihertz are the only ones really doing a respectable QWERTY keyboard phone, well, except their latest, ahem, 'Titan Slim' lol. Nokia made some GREAT physical keyboard phones E63/E71/E7. The only other contender with an E7 design is Planet Computers and their newly announced 'Astro Slide 5G', but it could be near £/$1000... I reckon for around half that, HMD/Nokia COULD make a really good E7 with their known slight, supreme feeling but yet DURABLE slide mechanism). And considering year on year, polls/Stats/Research shows that one of the biggest uses for mobiles today is STILL text entry via texting/instant messaging/emails etc etc, a GOOD QWERTY keyboard phone 'Could' sell well, if made right and sold at a right price... 🤔 😎🇬🇧
Fine choice with the N95. Jack of all trades, beast of a phone. Remember the concept that Michael Fisher showcased? What did you think of that?
No problem Erick :D
@@AbdullaZaki i know Michael fisher for his love for retro technology. I do see his video.
They do own the patent. Think the 9 pureview
i always loved the ui of lumia phones. they were just so clean and unique. tried many launchers but couldn't get the feel of those old ones
Did you try launcher 10?
That cat is trying to mimic you obviously 😅😁🤩
I was a die hard Lumia fan, having used Lumia 800, Lumia 720, Lumia 535, Lumia 640 XL, Lumia 830, Lumia 950XL.
Beautiful selection of Lumias
My inspiration would be Nokia Lumia 930. This was my primary phone from 2014 till 2018.
Awesome👍👏nokia build quality is the best 👍💯.
Once upon a time I was thinking about going for Lumia 930, hesitating between it and 830. I eventually chose Lumia 830 because of a few features the 930 lacked: lack of SD card slot; lack of Glance Screen; shorter battery life and non-replaceable battery and back cover; and the 830 was much cheaper. Of course, the 930 had a lot of advantages of its own, like processing power, display, camera, audio recording, but the 830 wasn't lagging far behind it and I didn't really need them all and was happy with my choice.
However, I must say that both of those two phones were fantastic for their time and I really loved them: from the design (they look almost identical), through the display, to the camera and audio quality! I still have my 830 and it still works in a way.
I loved the 830 too. The same part was that it was severely underrated for its time, which was also the case for the 930. They were both fantastic
@@AbdullaZaki , I totally agree! So pity that Nokia (now with Android) cannot make such good phones nowadays... yet. Nevertheless, this is the only phone company that exists for me. All of my phones were Nokia, my current one is and the next one will be.
Totally awesome phone!!!!! Awesome camera too!!!!!!💙💙💙
Great Cat Bloopers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
:D
This was really a perfect smartphone at that time, and I still have this one with broken LCD panel, in black. Can you please make a video on Nokia E90, from communicator series?
I wish i had the chance to experience the greatness of Nokia back in the day.
I don’t know about Nokia but The cat stole my heart 😂😂 so cute 🥰
oh that design!!!
I used 1020 for 3 yrs, I absolutely loved it. I wish nokia made more phones like this. Live for Nokia.
Nokia Lumia 735 - I loved it!!!! 😍
I loved the design of the 735
You should open another channel for other brands .. your videos are great 💜
So cool❤
التصميم لحد هاللحظة فخم جداً 👌🏼
نوكيا في التصميم لا يتفوق عليهم أي أحد في ذلك الوقت :)
Loving your reviews! How would you rank the Nokia G21, X10 & G50 in terms of overall performance, future proofing & battery life etc and how does the G50 compare to the very similar Motorola g50? Thanks
Hi Oliver, thanks!
In terms of performance, G50 then X10 then G21.
Future proofing X10/G50/G21
Battery life G21/G50/X10
Nokia G50 vs Moto G50
They are very similar. Maybe the Moto would have a slight edge in performance, but the Nokia feels more solid in the hand, and will have better software support. The Nokia is bigger in size, so if you want compact the Moto would be better. Moto has more options in the software. You can't go wrong with either.
Nokia Mix Radio is something I still miss in every device that I have used after the Lumia series😢. It was really something that android developers should bring back to us.
I LOVED the design of this phone
Remember my uncle having one, whenever it was raining outside it was raining animation on the screen
My inspiration Nokia would be the Nokia 9 PureView - The perfect ZEIES camera phone with android one UI
I remembered being in secondary school when I dreamed of having this phone because it was an underrated phone for me in my opinion.
Lumia was something bro, i wanted the phone so badly at that time
Although I was tempted, I never did get into the Windows phone Nokias, I went from Symbian on an N8 and E7 right to Android on a Samsung Galaxy S2, but even so, I was WELL IMPRESSED with the design language of the Lumias, they felt like iterations of that brilliant Meego N9. 👌 😎🇬🇧
I had a similar jump but different timing. Went from Nokia to Galaxy S1 to N8 to N9 to Lumia :D
@@AbdullaZaki So what you're saying is, you were a bit of a 'Tech tart' getting around a bit hahaha 😋🤣. 😎🇬🇧
@@thedarkknight1971 pretty much haha
Good old days ♥️♥️
Nice review. Been a solid Nokia fan ever since. But I wonder where can I buy a legit one nowadays?
I absolutely loved this phone
Are there apps downloadable and usable for new users in 2022? Fb? Messenger? YT?
Can I find all those nostalgic Lumia devices online now in brand new condition?
Absolutely excellent phone
3 days back I got android 12 on my Nokia 8.3 5G. so amazing super smooth and battery performance
Thats good Ahmed! Good to hear you're enjoying the 8.3. Its a great phone
THIS is my absolute favourite Lumia phone of ALL TIME.
Besides expandable storage, this phone was just about perfect.
Nokia 930 would be my inspiration phone. I hv used it for 6yrs.
The camera still holds up very well
5:33 a few days ago i got myself the Nokia Lumia 1520 and i love it it's amazing, wish they continued whit Windows Phone, Now we would have Windows Phone 11
If Nokia Ever comes back to Lumia Series with all the required updates and app supports. I will not think twice before jumping from iPhone.. I used Lumia 520 and loved every bit of it.
Once my Lumia Glass got shattered and then I was unable to find any good replaceable glass or good repairer, so I lost my phone this way. But when I had that I was at peace... there was something to it.
Mine first smartphone was Nokia XL & then Lumia 435 & 535 was.
I still miss them ...😢😷
Those were great budget phones!
@@AbdullaZaki Yeah ...Thanks for your valuable comment ...#sir ☺️💓
Fantastic phone. I had the 930 but sold it and kept using the 1520. IMO the 1520 was the pinnacle of design. the form factor details were incredible. That's where I would go for inspiration. A shame mine got the screen shooting issue towards the end.
Lumia phone's will still remain my one my favourite, always ♥️
i miss my only Windows phone, lumia 620. love that phone, its the best exterior design for me with super fluid OS. that phone marked my final denial to jump into flagship android until eventually i did..with galaxy s4. if only HMD make these kind of phones..with at least KaiOS if budget really concern them.
I remember having the 520 and the 620. Those were not powerful at all, but it's been the best phone I've ever had. The software was amazingly well done and optimized, but the apps were dragging WP down :(
It makes me sad because I really loved WP's interface. It was really comfortable. I had them around 2015-2016
I also want to point out the colors these phones had. Like, the fact that a high end phone had a vibrant green color, or a very intense yellow was SUPER interesting to me.
I am tempted to buy one online. But I have something holding me back, does it have hotspot capabilities?
Yep. I had a Nokia 930. it was great and I miss my WindowsPhone every day since I moved to iphone.....
My Lumia 630 is still running till today. I bought it in 2014
I still have this...same color and everything
Are they still available in brand new condition ?
I loved the colour 😅
I miss my lumia 520.. with so low ram of approximately 512mb i used to play asphalt 8 on it without issues.i regret selling it...nokia should definitely bring lumia and windows fone back..the camera features were also so much ahead of time
Nokia should really bring back or use the Lumia Design. It's really a great or should i say a fantastic design. It will be a great comeback for them. 😍😍😍
I'll be buy one if Lumia is back
Soooo cool
I love this phone. But, a year ago, I dropped the phone and damaged the display. Is there anyway I can repair it?
