- Unboxing the new Nokia 3210 4G, rebooted for 2024, 25 years after the original feature phone was released! The updated Nokia 3210 4G includes a full-colour screen, S30 Plus OS and new versions of Snake etc. You've got simple internet access, an MP3 player, 2MP camera and more! Here's a hands-on review of the new Nokia 3210 2024, and for more please subscribe.
The first feature phone from the late 90s was one of the best classic mobiles of its time, and now HMD has paid homage with this reboot. For £75, you get a fully featured dumb phone, with basic music playing and camera abilities. You can access the internet using 4G on the Nokia 3210 2024, but there's no WiFi support.
Music fans can copy some MP3s onto this dumb phone to listen to on the move, or else there's also FM radio support. And yes there's a camera, but frankly it's best used to take simple profile pics or something. The Nokia 3210 4G certainly isn't a Galaxy S24 for photography!
Are you tempted by this feature phone for under £100? Let us know your thoughts on the Nokia 3210 4G below and stay tuned for more HMD smartphone reviews!

@@kennedaykayuni1650 Yes, 2GB data can last for a month too. Depends on the use. But no problem using 50GB on a feature phone. Just download big files og share wifi hotspot etc
I think I’d really like a feature phone like this but with some more modern capabilities. A limited but carefully curated set of actually good features would make this a compelling device. A great camera, some music streaming apps, and a richer RCS texting experience would be intriguing.
RCS on a feature phone would be dope ngl, especially if you're just texting and no multimedia stuff.
Missed the opportunity to throw it across the room. Love your work though man.
You're only only the first level there - we used to drop kick ours across the playing field.
0:33 They should've hired some "old people" to celebrate in the commercial 😅 it would've been funny asf 🤣
Don't need to hire anyone I am the real thing age 74 my 2nd ever phone was a 3210. A lost joy is the looking for new cases. You could buy new cases for the front and back to totally change its look.
I still have the original first release with a new battery. It has the circular power jack and the charger still works.
The problem is, it has a GSM dual-band radio - we now call it 2G - and, since the 3G masts have all been turned off very recently, the 2G is so congested that has become difficult to make a call. As 2G isn't a data packet system like 4G and 5G but it is time-multiplexed, a 2G mast - today as 25 years ago - can only manage about 30 concomitant phone calls. So it is time to go and buy the 2024 edition with a 4G connection.
Thank you for the review!
Anthony
It is gratifying to observe your analysis. I am genuinely astonished that they have launched a 2024 edition. I still have several of the original Nokia 3210s in my possession, and remarkably, they continue to function. The battery life of those devices was truly exceptional, effortlessly enduring an entire day.
I reckon the nostalgia hit would last about ten minutes. Then it would be in the man drawer for the next 25 years.

My Man drawer still has copies of Razzle in it...
Yeah, in the drawers under my trousers, because this is the kind of phone you can actually take to work every day and all day.
And not have to fiddle with figuring out which pocket on a jumpsuit it's actually gonna survive in.
And after 25 years the battery would still be full.

0:41 as a guy who was born in 1993 I can safely say that even if she isn't old enough to be an early 2000s kid she definitely wears the kinda trousers that were popular back then. Nothing beats cargos.
I was laughing out loud on this one! A funniest review in a while. I watch them these days mostly because of the humor. Cheers mate!
I was in my last year in college when I put my hands on the original 3210. It was a lovely device had no antenna.
I was able to avoid buying a cellular telephone until the Galaxy S3. Perhaps buying the 3210 will set me back moving in the proper direction. Land line, here I come!
Am I old, to just skim past the _cellular telephone_ 😅
Bring back those slider phones Samsung!!
Yea I need a reboot of the samsung stratosphere asap!!
Screw this, I want n93i reboot phone. Especially since they do good things sometimes like wi-fi dongle function and minimum 3Mpix camera to record documents.
One thing they absolutely need is Bluetooth-in to work as a DAC replacement. 2 channels, preferrably. These days they could do that in 120 grams and under $120.
Phones need to start looking cool again instead of like pieces of slate.
i'd buy a motorola razr v3 in a heart beat if they did a modern redesign of that, or at least one that is actually in keeping with the original, not a £1500 ridiculous folding screen monstrosity.
That was the time when nobody lashes out at each other about screen refresh rate, chipset, charging speed or whose got a better camera, everybody's happy, genuinely happy
And everyone was more in the moment . Unless addicted to playing snake of course 😆
And now we need more advanced technology for our needs. Some people can be real d1cks though
Careful of your nostalgia filled eyes there. Every generation pines for their childhood.

This was my very first phone, Nokia 3210. I really miss the days when phones were dirt cheap. I might get one of these just to get a feel of those good old days.
It was not exactly cheap. The price back then was around $130, which corresponds to about $210 today (using a conservative inflation rate). Compare this to the 2024 model, which is offered for around $80.
I had this phone, it was a great little phone. I also got the 3310 as well.
Really enjoyed this review. The guy brings fun to phone reviews lol
A lovely review of the new updated 3210 ❤❤❤
Y2K didn’t happen because it was prevented. Any computer made in the 90s had to be able to handle Y2K and older computers were updated or replaced. People still believe it was never a thing but it was it was just prevented because people fixed the issue in time.
Correct. So sad that people believe that it was a hoax, when it was in reality taken serious AND fixed.
Exactly! So many people working overtime, including old Cobol programmers coming back out of retirement and earning their weight in gold (good on them).
It's like people thinking the ozone hole was a hoax because it's never mentioned anymore - one of the few other big things we found a fix for. 🤦♂️
I've had the same mobile phone number since 1992 and that was because I had to move from an analogue to a digital phone. 😁😁😁 A camera on a phone? Nah, it'll never catch on.
I was quite glad for the lack of smartphone cameras back in the day, less online evidence....
Killin’ it mate 🍻 I tune in for the cracks cheers
I wouldn't mind an old Sony Ericsson mobile (W595 Slide) & I also seem to remember 1 that kind of swivelled in half rather than flipped. Both were bright orange. And so delightfully small! Mind you I always secretly envied my mates' Motorola Razr!
I was a quarter of a century old when this came out. Now that's old!
Time be flying! It's when you realise some CZcamsrs were still sucking their thumb and filling their pants when this phone originally came out that the real nausea hits...

I remember the days you could open a beer and smack down three grown men with the same device played snake on! Those where the days 😅
Reminds me of the time when I was a kid with a similar Nokia phone, used to blast WWE themesongs on loudspeaker in school, those were the days
Love you too Uncle Spurt
Brings back memories. This was one of the best phones back in the day.
Bought my mum a similar model about 5 years ago, battery life on that was about a week on standby, she only uses it for ordering cabs when she is out etc, basic, does the job, happy days
Only 25 years since you left school? It's been 38 for me! My first phone was a Motorola microTAC.
Thanks for this video! I'm one of these digital minimalists who love carrying around a dumbphone whenever I can. However, I find these modern so-called Nokia devices really disappointing, and I wish your review covered some of the common daily life scenarios, where unfortunately, the rebooted Nokias show absolutely disastrous lack of quality. Have you actually tried pairing any Bluetooth device and using it with 8210's music player? It works worse than cheap no-label phones from China - disconnects, interrupts the audio... The UI is much worse than my 15 y.o. Nokia Xpress music, in almost any part of the system. I feel the same nostalgia, but before HMD actually makes any effort to make these devices functional - they're not worth your money and the carbon footprint, and should be pushed more by influencers to seriously answer the minimalist niche... which at this point they're using to sell almost unusable nostalgia toys.
S60 UI...
Love the review 😂 very amusing 😂
Can’t help but laugh and think of sarcasm by saying wow when the camera and flash got mentioned😂
Please do the new NOKIA 5310 (2024) version please please

I still got my original 3310 from way back then, and it still works. Gadgets made nowadays tend to fall apart after a few months of usage.
I used the original one as my first phone in 2005. It was the best thing. Solid build, simple UI and long lasting battery.
You still young my friend problaby not even 50 😊

I love you mention the 128MB storage and 2MP camera, my AGM M9 has a 0.3MP camera and 32MB storage so its even better spec wise than what I use everyday. I just ordered an original nokia 1100B though as its 850MHZ GSM and will still work with Rogers carrier here in Canada so I can have some real nostalgia.
Isn't this new version of the classic Nokia available with 5G instead of the older 4G? A very well done vid review, sir!!! My compliments. 👏👍🏹♐
It would be great for nokia to slap on a wifi on it. At least it could've served as a wifi hotspot.
It's supposed to be a dumb phone, a way to detox from technology, and you want it to be more technologically advanced? 🤦♂️ just buy a normal smartphone
@@memonomoto7419 let's be real, it wouldn't be a detox if there's a CZcams app built in for watching shorts. Lmao 🤣
My father has this old model phone. Nokia 66 something. Fortunately, they still sell these because he can't use a smartphone. I remember that my first phone was a 3510i. I was in the 3rd grade then, so I was probably 9-10 years old. I remember when you could download ringtones from some magazines. Or buy it somehow. If someone remembers better how that system worked, please tell me 😁
Order 66 for you!
Never owned a 3210. My first Nokia was a 3310 Mar 2001. Sold July same year. Miss those times
Nokia 7210 was soo cool with the slider for the mouth piece 👌
Awesome. I did not know they'd brought this out. I want one. Retro, and oddly I could use the camera for some retro lo-fi photography and video.
Yes, some of what was claimed about Y2K was insane. There's a crazy Sky News report on here. There was real issues though, and a friend of mine was one of the programmers that had to go through tons of old code.
The camera bit is a totally lovely addition.
my second phone was a 3310 3G (*my first was an old 105 from 2012 lol) and I'm somewhat disappointed in how similar the 2 phones are despite being released 6 years apart, doesn't even come with a pair of headphones in the box :/
At least with these types of phones, they are great for running and emulating classic games like Tetris, Bounce Tales and Doodle Jump (not really a classic but a good port nonetheless) which you can find online albeit some compatibility issues they will also run faster than on their original phones, just plop in an SD card with the games into your phone and find them in the folder to install and run. Have fun!
Ohhh my god I hope, hope and hope it catches and it's a huge success and we go back to the early 2000's
Hell yeah I've used 3310. And this reboot seems to be a banger! Love it man. I'd still use a 3310 as a secondary anytime.
Just want to say... i dont care about technology, phones... But i'm watching this chanal for a lough!! Tnx!

I didn't know they still made that phone! I had something exactly like that back in 2004
Hooray for some civilized retro progress!!! I hop it's available in the L. O. T. L. W. Cloud 😊
I wish we could go back to that era.

I love that yellow. It’s why I chose the iPhone XR over the X/XS, and is why I want my next iPhone to be a 14/14Plus instead of a 12/13/15, as the 14’s yellow is practically identical to that Nokia’s
