- Well, it's been and interesting past few days. Just when I thought I was getting close to finishing this 1967 Camaro I hit a brick wall. I just don't comfortably fit in this car. I've learnt from past experience, if i don't fit, I won't drive it. So it's gotta go but I'm keeping the running gear.

Man, I gotta hand it to you. You are the poster child for the 'curves' that life throws at your projects. Yet you find a way to push through, adapt, and happily continue on in a new direction. Cheers to you man, you are inspiring!
I have had 1x 67 and 2x 68 Camaros, isn't your problem that the seats are to thick, if you look at original Camaro seats they are really thin. I am 6'3" and 250lbs and I fit fine in the cars I had with factory seats
I thought that too, but look how far back and how low that seat is and where his knees are. The nova is several inches longer in wheelbase which makes a big difference.
Last I read was that a 1971 nova wb 111.0”. Camaro wb 108.0”. 3” longer on the Nova. And Nova is 1.5” longer total length. It all adds up!
Were they Autos or 4 speeds? Think his issue is mostly clutch issues .. Them size 14 claud hoppers dont help either.. Yea, those seats are pretty thick also..
@@feelingold2995 mine were all 4 speeds,
@@feelingold2995I’m 6’6” and 280lb. I had a 68 350 4 speed right after high school (6’6” 230lb) and I loved that car. No problem driving it. Wish I still had it
That dude wasn’t looking for scrap he was casing the place Dan. 😂
Please be careful
Gotta make the Camaro a driver. You will get so much more money for it vs a roller
Hardest working guy on you tube !😎🏴☠️
One of ? There are a few on the tube BuTt he is Canadian 😂👍😜
Hi Dan .. get old thick tires to put your motors on when you pull them out of the car .. it will give the motor stability and a soft place to be .. no rims in the tires .. this is even better when you have to haul the motor to the shop for rebuild or back home in the back of a truck..
dd, im from the uk i cant even drive but between watching vvg, pudding and at a stretch mortske, what you do full time job and put a hour long video every night, i can see it in your eyes and hear it in your voice selling those cars is emotional to you, ive watched you graft your heart out on them
A sound '67 should bring good money. And she provided a lot of content. Hope she goes to a good home.
As a roller id say 12/15k usd….running 20/25k….so yeah id put a krylon rebuilt junkyard small block in it and get more $$$ for it
@@trentdawg2832 for us we’d have to count time/effort but Dan gets content, not sure what most would do but ya, I gotta squeeze them pennies till they scream… the zinc starts leaking out
Someone is going to end up with a really good 67, to take to the next level! Good job proud of you young man!
That car is solid.I watched all the videos and its better now than when it came from the factory. Someone is getting a great project car.
I think you should swap complete drivetrains and sell the Camaro as a big block 4 speed 12 bolt car, running or not, it will bring more money.
Be wary of the "SCRAP" guy...he may have been casing the cars and garage!!! A friend of mine had that happen, a "PAINTER" came by his house when he was working on a Chevelle and 2 days later the Chevelle was stolen. Luckily my friend had a surveillance camera and captured the theft and also got the license plate of the "PAINTER" that had stopped by...caught the guy!
Dan selling the Camaro with a full drivetrain is good for you, but selling the car as a roller is better for the next new owner.👍
This is what Dan makes fun of everyone else for... Selling uncompleted projects.
That sounds like a plan, use your leftover drivetrain parts to cobble together something. You get rid of more junk that way too.
That Camaro should sell quick. I used to have a pretty big collection of old cars, some minty, some not but after a divorce and having to liquidate most of them I actually felt relieved. It's nice not having to worry about storage/ parking, lot rot, rodents or vandals/ thieves, insurance, hailstorms etc. After awhile you realize your possessions actually own you. I'm down to a manageable number now, and as much as I miss some of them life goes on. I think you'll see what I mean once you further thin the herd.
Well said.
I totaly concure. I recently liquidated 40 big weight off my shoulders
I have 7 vehicles 1 eliminator (speed boat) 1 harley road glide, and a handful of dirtbikes and go carts….they all run and yes its a full time job keeping them up…..luckily i have close to an acre lot so storage isnt a problem……so i can only imagine dans struggles with his massive fleet and storage space
Yes sir Dan I happy for you buddy. I glad you decided to do this. The Camaro will make someone a nice car to finish and you keep the Nova. Win Win in my books. ✌️😎👍
Trailers are for hauling your trailer queen to shows and junk back home, now what you got is for moving cars around. If your selling a camaro or a mustang or a GTO they will sell for decent to great money that's just a given because of the names then add in it's a youtube "celebrity" car with a build record and your golden pony boy. Hope you find a property that has everything you need and want. It's fun to watch small channels grow and watch them expand I've seen about 15 car channels get bigger shops in the last year or so Morskie being one, Puttin, VGG, Emila, Cars and cameras etc. Loving it all for you guys and gals.
Sad your stature is prohibiting you from really enjoying the Camaro. Life goes on. I think you are going to have a blast with that driveline in the Nova!
You still need to make a couple cribs to set under the front wheels. Makes pulling engines a little easier, room for the crane legs to move around.
Im tempted to gift you an air/hyd ram for the crane. You would like it. Almost as much as the scissor lift.
Best decision ever!!!!!!! Keep the nova and both nomads forever!!!!
Agreed
Fo ever ever….ive had my nova since the 90’s……never would consider selling it
@@trentdawg2832 good. Mine has been in the family since new(it's a 1972),I wouldn't either. My parent's had it.I've actually owned it longer than them.
Big Block, automatic and 10 bolt back into the Camaro. 350-4speed into the Nova !!! LOL Maybe Danni could drive the Camaro for a while? RAVE-ON Danni and Dan !!!
I think u did the right thing, make the nova the way u want it. The Camaro will sell regardless of what driveline it has in it…
In the end I don't think the nova will every get driven. If you have a nomad with a blower and a 5 speed. which car are you gonna take?
@@peglegtoo I’d drive a nova ss anyday over a nomad, personally don’t really dig the nomads. They are cool and worth saving because they bring big money, I’d never want one to keep or drive tho.
A running car is always easier to sell
Just put a cookie cutter small block in it so it at least runs….id personally put a LS in it but thats just me, both my nova and c10 have supercharged LS swaps and i wouldnt have it any other way….
Your seat problem is maybe a 2 hour fix ( driver and passenger side) if you take breaks. 😂
Yeah, its just an excuse he made up in his mind to have a reason to sell it :) But, if you don´t like a car it is better to sell it so he is doing the right thing
My only regret for you, Dan, is that I seriously was looking forward to riding along with you and Dani while you opened up that Bad MaMaJama and SMOKED the tires on that little Camaro!
The nova is the same car…..literally…..the frame/chasis on first gen F body and ‘68/‘74 X body are the same
@@trentdawg2832 I understand, yet I still wanted to see that Camaro create a smoke 💨 show!
At the end of the day , it's yours to do with as you please . I'm glad you are keeping the drive train for yourself ! It was built for you , & it will smoke the tires off anything you finally put it in . That said , the next owner can do as they please . In a world full of losers , hacks , & wanna-bees , who often take credit for work they never did , I'm just fine with it . They can get their hands dirty , or pay someone else to do all of the work . The body is the most solid 67 Camaro out there , & that's as good a head start as is needed . The rest is on them . Let the musical engine swaps begin , when the music stops , you win !
I bet it sells really fast that would be gold down here in the states
Man Dan, don't bleed all over that new paint. LoL. Dan, just asking, why don't you swap the big block and trans with new levers in the Camaro? More $ on the back end and you get your hot rod Nova. Seems like a win/win
I feel like I’m having a visual stroke, watching a literally just completed build being dismantled😧😲. However it does make sense, not throwing shade. Crazy patience and talent.
do what you want for the nova thats just a all around keeper but think you would be way further ahead to sell the camero as a runner not just a roller!!! thanks for the videos!
A t-shirt saying that’s future dans problem would be cool.
One day I'm going to get a 67, 68 or 69 Camaro! I'll take a 72-73 Camaro as well, just got gotta find 1 of any of those years. 😁
Just think how nice that engine is going to look in the nova
Just make the Thumbnail on each new video a picture of the front of both 55 Nomads and ill watch everyone! 55 Chevys are my favorite car all time so i would suggest to keep all 3 of them you have. Not sure about the rest of your cars. That engine sure would be nice in the Blue Nomad! Later Buddy 👍
Dan that Camaro gave you
Lots of video content (it was a lot of work for you). The Camaro looks good(look at the engine compartment, you put lots of metal in it. The whole car is solid. You can sell the way want. Have great day Dan
I'm doing a 64 Chevy 2 and boy does it take time. I have lymphoma and Ra and other things that keep me from working on it. I'm getting close. Great Camaro 67 is my favorite. One year older than me.😮
Great video. Put together to take them apart.
And the Camaro to Nova swap has begun. Lots of good fun!! Cheers!! 😎
I had a 73 SS Nova that had a 350 -w- the 4-speed muncie and 4:10 gears that car was wicked fun!. So I understand why your gutting that drive train for your Nova. Your car should be sweet when done.
Another engine swap by DD Speedshop. Don’t forget the Opal is taking up space as well. Another roller to get rid of
and the little red Healey clone too, it would make a pretty cool front yard planter!
You should get a Mortske fender cover 😁
Hey Dan. You should look into a air over hydraulic jack cylinder at your local princes auto. It will make your engine pulling a breeze. $60.to $80 bucks . That's what they cost US dollars.
If your going to buy land, research "barndominium" plans. A giant metal building that you can take your time fitting it out and still build cars
The motor mount holes in the cross member are there from the factory because you could get the car with either bb or sb.
What's wrong with removing the Nova's engine, and transmission and putting it into the Camaro? It runs really well from your drive video, sell it for more $$ if it runs ❤
Dan!! That ''Scrap'' guy was casing you out...Make sure everything is bolted and locked and you have a video feed to your stuff...all the cars and units. If he's got bold enough to come and have a look whilst you are in the garage he's going to pay you a visit.
On a side note don't sell the Camaro too cheap...You did all the headache...its a blank canvas with good lines...You are not a hack...Just get shit done.
Seriously ...that dude was nefarious.
Yes the drivetrain is offset 1 inch to the passenger side. Keep up the good work Dan!
YOU KNOW IVE BEEN DOING SWAPS AND STUFF FOR FIFTY YEARS AND I STILL DONT UNDERSTAND WHY PEOPLE DONT USE A DRIVE SHAFT YOKE OR A DAMN BAGGY ON THE TRANS TO KEEP FROM MAKING A FRIKKING MESS IN THE FLOOR JUST A LITTLE TEXAS ADVICE
Can't believe you're selling the Camaro already you should take the backseat out put in a roll cage and get racing bucket seats.
Two words, "Band Aid". But on the upside, all bleeding eventually stops!
So,does that make Danielle a crane operator now? Sure are a lot of people upset that you aren't keeping the Camaro but its yours to do as you please. If you kept it others would be mad. A Nova, 4 tri-fives, and a few in line for building, you are golden,Dan !!
Ya just until the next shiny thing comes along
Car Guy Math, The truest statement ever uttered by a Car Guy. LOVE IT.
I hope you can sell some cars so you don’t lose the shop
Two best videographers on CZcams...Danielle & Jolene...DD SPEED vs BAD CHAD..Danielle is the cutest. Hotrod wars.
Dan and Danny doing the double DD dance once again!
Thanks for the video Dan & Danny.
I have no idea what is going on here. First you decided to keep the Nova, then you decided to sell it, now you decided to keep it again. That blue and white Nomad is the nicest looking car you have. I would put some '60s style wheels on it, like Cragar S/S or 5 slot aluminum wheels, something bright, then swap the powertrain out of the black Nomad into it. Then you would have kind of the ultimate street rod.
I used to know a guy with a '55 Chevy 2 door hardtop (a real 2 door hardtop) that was painted bright yellow, had all the stock chrome on it, Cragar S/S wheels, small block (not sure of the specs on the engine, but it was all chromed out) 4 speed, and a fairly loud exhaust, done '60s/'70s style, with 2 round chrome tips exiting under the rear bumper, one on each side. It had black tuck and roll seats, front seat was a bench. The wheels were a normal size, no bigger than 15", wide tires in the rear, narrow tires in the front, and I don't believe it had been raised or lowered. It had a large racing tach on the dash, and a chrome three spoke steering wheel. This car was not a rat rod, it was spotless. But he drove it all the time. That's about all I remember. That was nearly 30 years ago, before the ghetto wheel thing happened. That was one of the sweetest cars I've ever seen in my life.
Ouch! That hurt. You banged both the firewall and the core support, then set that new engine down on a concrete floor without even putting a pad under it.
That car is how I found your channel because I had one. I was really enjoying watching you build it into something cool from nothing, and now your tearing it apart? I don't know why you can't put the seat anywhere you want so you fit? But it's your Car. That really sucks though.
He had the seat all the way back touching the rear seat and still wasn’t comfortable
@@trav.builds Wow! So he is just way too big for the car. If it were me though I'd delete the back seat and make it work.
You guys need to put up a large dry erase white board on the garage wall to list what is going together, what's coming apart and what's going away down the road. Ha!!!!
When I figured out that Novas and Camaro share so many parts I was excited, my old Camaros all got a/c , power disc brakes and power steering
Do what you gotta do, but it would be nice to see you put a small block of some sort back in it. Even if it's an old 305 or something. It's a really cool car. It deserves to be a driver.
l agree with you on the keeper price on the ones you want to keep. l had some one offer me 40k for mine and to me with all l have in it thats just not enough to let my dream go
I may be swimming upstream here...but more Brickland content? 😂
Less swimming up a stream and more of a swimming up a waterfall in my opinion, I agree with you though, I would have liked to have seen the Brick get made nice again and with some hot rod to it without all that godawful smog crap under the hood.
Random question.... have you thought of using the driveline from the Chevy II in the Camaro, making this Danni's car "smaller car for the little lady" and moving the Chevy II on with a runner small block and Turbo 350? That way you keep your "dream car" in the fleet and maybe even get to drive it without the need for a clutch pedal - your leg doesn't fit that side very well
plus i am anxious to see you put the vinyl top on the nova
Hey big Dan , next time , ditch the rear seat , make it like a business coupe , then slide the seats back about 10 inches . I'm 6'"4....I'm used to cars built for Jeff Gordon sized dudes
Check the throw out bearing while you got it out!😂
square tube and angle iron some casters you could make an engine cradle to hold the engine and move it a lot easier
That will make someone a good roller. Get what you want for it and move on. Good luck
Here we go again👍👍
I am shocked that you didn’t pull the front clip off AGAIN 🙃
Wow your getting real good at the Camaro engine in/out thing.
Now if you could just find someone to pay you to do that every day you'd be rich
Awesome job on getting the motor,
transmission out of it.
Last roller Camaro I saw on Marketplace was selling for 10k American but still needed to finish welding.
Thanks for sharing this video with us
As Grandma used to say....
..."...It's better to get Pissed-off, than Pissed-on..."... 👍
Dang it, Dan. I wanted one of those T-shirts! Now I'm not watching anymore. Well, until the next video comes out. I'm glad you're keeping the good stuff and selling the Camero. A win/win for everyone.
It would be to hard for me to let go of that blue nomad. Having 2 of the same car has always been a dream of mine. Your Cars, do as u wish.
I was hoping you would keep the "Blue Moon Nomad" I doubt you'll ever come across another one! I may email you about the Camaro.
You’re doing the right thing. The nova is a real SS and the Camaro is just that a plain Camaro even though the 67 is my fav but the nova is going to be a really nice car. Besides who gives a shit what people think it’s what makes you happy.
Dan, surprised you didn’t smoke the tires on that 67 Camaro… n drive it like a hot rod banging all 4 gears…at least once.
fender covers man, they really work !!!
did you know that if you push up on the end of your cherry picker and hold it for 5 seconds it will stay most of the way up and you wont have to pump the handle to lift the hook above the engine
I still love the look of the 67
Dan put Camaro parts on a table. New Dan?
All that just to avoid putting a headliner in it? LOL just Joking Dan. Don't get upset. I have had a couple Chevell's and a 67 Camaro and I do believe the seat was quite a bit thinner on the Camaro. If I were you I would have at least put it together enough to take it for a proper rip at least once. The Nova is cool too so the drive train is going to a good home. Also the blue nomad is a super find. Not many that nice still floating around that the average guy can buy.
Dan keep the Camaro and put a extra big sun roof you'll have plenty of room
That would be ghotto.
I can just hear it now. Boy if that only had, "SUBFRAME CONNECTERS" I'd be all over that Camaro.
The interaction between you two is priceless.
You may not really want to, but it will bring more money being a runner and driver than a shell. I get it moving on to something that you want. You still have the 68 to build.
Need an air over hydraulic ram for your lift. Save your arm with the amount you use it
I think the motor mount stands on the frame are different for big block / small block
Good episode guys ❤
I'm with you 💯 percent. I would switch and keep the motor and trans too👍
My price guess is at least $20,000 Canadian hope it's not an insult 😊
Smart move Dan and Dani
You and Dannie made that engine /transmission pull look like butter ……
Is it even a d&d speed shop video without some sort of transmission oil on the floor? 😅
I have a 67 nova that you would really like. And I'd be willing to trade you for the camaro. But it would be really hard for me to get the time off to do a trade. But I'm glad to see you working towards your goal.
I have a 56 210 but would love a 69 Camaro or 70 Chevelle also
1970 SS Chevelle is in my opinion the COOLEST car on the planet, tri5s next , had a few Camaros from 1969 to 2000 , they are just not as comfortable to travel in as Chevelle or tri5
Bucket list car is a 1962 SS Impala
Thumbs up on the '56.
32 ford was mine
Absolutely love watching your content, really cool Camaro
