Major Changes! - Blowing Apart My "Finished" 1967 Camaro

  • Well, it's been and interesting past few days. Just when I thought I was getting close to finishing this 1967 Camaro I hit a brick wall. I just don't comfortably fit in this car. I've learnt from past experience, if i don't fit, I won't drive it. So it's gotta go but I'm keeping the running gear.

I have had 1x 67 and 2x 68 Camaros, isn't your problem that the seats are to thick, if you look at original Camaro seats they are really thin. I am 6'3" and 250lbs and I fit fine in the cars I had with factory seats

That Camaro should sell quick. I used to have a pretty big collection of old cars, some minty, some not but after a divorce and having to liquidate most of them I actually felt relieved. It's nice not having to worry about storage/ parking, lot rot, rodents or vandals/ thieves, insurance, hailstorms etc. After awhile you realize your possessions actually own you. I'm down to a manageable number now, and as much as I miss some of them life goes on. I think you'll see what I mean once you further thin the herd.

If your selling a camaro or a mustang or a GTO they will sell for decent to great money that's just a given because of the names then add in it's a youtube "celebrity" car with a build record and your golden pony boy. Hope you find a property that has everything you need and want. It's fun to watch small channels grow and watch them expand I've seen about 15 car channels get bigger shops in the last year or so Morskie being one, Puttin, VGG, Emila, Cars and cameras etc. Loving it all for you guys and gals.

In a world full of losers , hacks , & wanna-bees , who often take credit for work they never did , I'm just fine with it . They can get their hands dirty , or pay someone else to do all of the work . I have no idea what is going on here. First you decided to keep the Nova, then you decided to sell it, now you decided to keep it again. That blue and white Nomad is the nicest looking car you have. I would put some '60s style wheels on it, like Cragar S/S or 5 slot aluminum wheels, something bright, then swap the powertrain out of the black Nomad into it. Then you would have kind of the ultimate street rod.
I used to know a guy with a '55 Chevy 2 door hardtop (a real 2 door hardtop) that was painted bright yellow, had all the stock chrome on it, Cragar S/S wheels, small block (not sure of the specs on the engine, but it was all chromed out) 4 speed, and a fairly loud exhaust, done '60s/'70s style, with 2 round chrome tips exiting under the rear bumper, one on each side. It had black tuck and roll seats, front seat was a bench. The wheels were a normal size, no bigger than 15", wide tires in the rear, narrow tires in the front, and I don't believe it had been raised or lowered. It had a large racing tach on the dash, and a chrome three spoke steering wheel. This car was not a rat rod, it was spotless. But he drove it all the time. That's about all I remember. That was nearly 30 years ago, before the ghetto wheel thing happened. That was one of the sweetest cars I've ever seen in my life.
Ouch! That hurt. You banged both the firewall and the core support, then set that new engine down on a concrete floor without even putting a pad under it.

Dang it, Dan. I wanted one of those T-shirts! Now I'm not watching anymore. Well, until the next video comes out. I'm glad you're keeping the good stuff and selling the Camero. A win/win for everyone.

It would be to hard for me to let go of that blue nomad. Having 2 of the same car has always been a dream of mine. Your Cars, do as u wish.

I was hoping you would keep the "Blue Moon Nomad" I doubt you'll ever come across another one! I may email you about the Camaro.

You’re doing the right thing. The nova is a real SS and the Camaro is just that a plain Camaro even though the 67 is my fav but the nova is going to be a really nice car. Besides who gives a shit what people think it’s what makes you happy.

Dan, surprised you didn’t smoke the tires on that 67 Camaro… n drive it like a hot rod banging all 4 gears…at least once.

did you know that if you push up on the end of your cherry picker and hold it for 5 seconds it will stay most of the way up and you wont have to pump the handle to lift the hook above the engine

Dan put Camaro parts on a table. New Dan?

All that just to avoid putting a headliner in it? LOL just Joking Dan. Don't get upset. I have had a couple Chevell's and a 67 Camaro and I do believe the seat was quite a bit thinner on the Camaro. If I were you I would have at least put it together enough to take it for a proper rip at least once. The Nova is cool too so the drive train is going to a good home. Also the blue nomad is a super find. Not many that nice still floating around that the average guy can buy.

You may not really want to, but it will bring more money being a runner and driver than a shell. I get it moving on to something that you want. You still have the 68 to build.

I have a 67 nova that you would really like. And I'd be willing to trade you for the camaro. But it would be really hard for me to get the time off to do a trade. But I'm glad to see you working towards your goal.

1970 SS Chevelle is in my opinion the COOLEST car on the planet, tri5s next , had a few Camaros from 1969 to 2000 , they are just not as comfortable to travel in as Chevelle or tri5
